chapter 30
Episode 30 .
Shiron looked away from Tyrune and smiled brightly at Iden again.
Then, suddenly, he raised his halberd and dropped it on Tyrun’s head.
Standing face to face with Aiden, the upper body did not move at all and the action of striking down using only the arms was quite high-level.
Aiden was a little taken aback. The weight of the halberd looked very heavy at first glance.
It was also very fast, but not to the point where I couldn’t react.
Just before Halberd smashed Tyrun’s head, Aiden blocked it by inserting a holy sword between them.
The metal collided and made a loud noise. Tyrun, who was close by, felt as if his eardrums would explode. Also, I couldn’t understand Iden’s actions at all. Blocking the Aspect? Aside from that, it was hard to know why he protected himself.
Shiron looked at the holy sword in contact with the halberd and swallowed a low exclamation.
“There was no lie in the name. really great…”
“I don’t know if it’s a demon, but I really don’t want to see a scene where a human gets crushed.”
Shiron smiled smirkingly.
“Ah, did I investigate the Great Tomb of Grandel myself? You made a scarf out of your tongue, isn’t it proof that it doesn’t really matter if you are a human or a demon?”
Aiden frowned.
“Tyrun are not demonists.”
“In some ways, you might be worse off than them.”
Shiron’s face was still bright, but there was something cold in his eyes looking at Tairun.
Aiden was dumbfounded.
“I don’t know on what basis you make that decision. If the case is dealt with with just one handwritten document, without any investigation or procedure, it will go well.”
Regardless of whether Tyrun was suspected or not, the method of treatment was too primitive. What if someone threatened you and forced you to write a document by hand? Shiron had completely ruled out such a possibility.
No matter how illogical there is in this world, it doesn’t handle things this way. Not to mention, the unit under the direct control of the Holy Assembly could not have been so lax.
Shiron was still smiling despite Aiden’s sharp point. Aiden couldn’t figure out why she was laughing. Judging from the first words, she said something about a headache, she looked like a woman who had lost her mind halfway.
“The handwriting evaluation has already been completed, and the black blood has been confirmed. More than anything, I judged the sutra as perfect evidence?”
Aiden’s face crumpled.
“What do you mean?”
“Looking at it from afar, Lord is trying to subdue Tailun and kill him. I thought there must be a reason for the decisions the noble hero made. is not it?”
If Shiron’s words were sincere, Iden could assert that she was abnormal. What does it mean to have the trust of putting someone else’s life as collateral?
Also, if Shiron was playing with words, it felt dirty just like that. Whatever it was, Iden was starting to get tired of this conversation.
I wanted to finish quickly.
“If there is anything wrong with Tyrun, it is that he used you guys.”
She tilted her head sullenly. The other two who arrived sooner or later could not understand Aiden’s words.
“Excuse me?”
Aiden decided to put a steel plate on his face.
“While fulfilling her duties as a paladin, Tyrun encountered an enemy she could not stand against. A hundred and fifty-year-old mutant. Of course, we were defeated, and we couldn’t afford to regroup. I’m sure everyone knows why. The Church is unsupportive, so he needs your help at least.”
A large man with a huge legal code on his side opened his mouth. It looked like a divine wizard.
“・・・・・・You mean to bring us in and use us to subdue mutants? at the cost of his own life.”
A story that is half right and half wrong. Mixed truth and lies.
It was difficult for Tyrun to grasp the situation going back. However, he was clearly aware of the fact that Aiden was helping him.
Iden nodded to the large man.
“you’re right. The act of using the Aspect is definitely a felony, but I don’t think it’s fatal.”
Shiron intervened.
“Then, Sir Aiden. Do you have any evidence to support your story?”
Aiden responded immediately.
“doesn’t exist.”
Shiron was startled. It was because I was a bit embarrassed by the bold answer that seemed resolute.
The holy mage swallowed and opened her mouth.
“It sounds a bit forced. Of course, I don’t mean to doubt your words, but if the purpose was to subdue the mutants, there must have been another way. If the word came out of Tyrun’s mouth that he was trying to take advantage of us, then maybe that heinous villain cheated on the Lord.”
Aiden nodded.
“So do your research. Cutting your throat is not a good thing.”
He pondered for a moment, then nodded.
“There will definitely be a need to hang it on a mold.”
The summary execution was prevented. Aiden looked at Tyrun. His eyes were terribly fluctuating.
“Tyrun, you are incompetent and take up the time of busy people. If the charges are proven, you’ll have to take off your clothes. If you feel even the slightest bit of guilt, return to Iceland and serve God. Even you, a weakling, will surely have something to do.”
I just hoped that Tyrun would understand the hidden meaning behind the words. Beyond this was his share.
Shiron refreshed the atmosphere with a slightly excited face.
“Well, by the way. Jude?”
It seemed that the holy mage’s name was Jude. He sighed deeply and nodded his head.
“Okay, let’s get rid of it quickly and return.”
Shiron couldn’t hide his excitement at the thought of crushing the devil’s skull, but unfortunately the situation was already over.
Aiden said with a rather pitiful expression.
“I’m sorry, Lord Shiron, but I subdued them all.”
A look of sadness crossed her face, which soon spread to anticipation.
“Then, may I take a look at your skills? I can help you clean up too.”
“All of them have already been incinerated. It’s a pity.”
“I see···”
She lowered her head with a sad face. Soon after, he smiled bitterly as if he had resigned himself.
“I can’t help it. It seems that today is not the day. I just want to have an in-depth conversation about art someday. Because each tribe has a different hand taste. For example, in the case of Ain…”
“Do it alone.”
I didn’t want to listen to it anymore, so I climbed Petra. Shiron had a wounded face.
A holy wizard called Jude stopped Iden from leaving.
“Sir Aiden, are you busy?”
“I have business to see, but is there anything else you would like to say?”
“It’s nothing. However, since you are touring the border area, you seem to be in the dark about the circumstances of Seonghwang-guk, so I wanted to say a few words. It’s not such a big deal. If you are busy, please leave immediately.”
It’s already been a month since I left the church. I had a rough idea of what was going on, but it was impossible to know exactly.
As much as Iden has stirred up many places, there must be something wrong.
“Please let me know. Enough time to talk.”
Jude nodded.
“The news that the expedition is leaning towards rejection is probably the most important. The stagnant manpower will be released soon. You have put a lot of hard work in the past. It will make it a little bit easier.”
It was fortunate. Tegain was doing his job clearly.
Aiden bowed his head in gratitude.
“Thank you. then···”
“Oh, and.”
Jude hesitated for a moment before opening his mouth.
“This is editorial, but I know that you have a special relationship with Xerath.”
“Yes, I respect you.”
That’s what I said, but I didn’t really respect it. It was just that the negative perception he had towards Xerath had been erased a little.
“hahahaha, me too. Inquisitors usually respect him. Anyway, Lord Xeras has been appointed as the head of the Heretic Inquisition and staff member of the Aspect Punishment Corps.”
In other words, it meant that Tegain was preparing a purge. As soon as the expedition discussion is completely rejected, it will be implemented immediately.
It seems that Tegain’s own person filled the important position, but seeing that Xerath was included, it seemed that the two had completely agreed to share their will.
‘He said he hates politics so much.’
I don’t know what kind of wind blew my mind and jumped into politics, but there was nothing bad about Aiden.
Because Xerath was definitely an ally.
Aiden suddenly thought that Tyrun was very lucky.
If it was the staff member of the Ascendant’s punishment team, he was the distant superior of the trio. If Aiden gave Xerath a copy of the letter, Tyrun might not hang on the frame.
Jude opened his mouth again, as if he had more to say.
“Finally, the promotion ceremony for Sir is scheduled. I’ve heard that it’s a Distinguished Paladin, but I’m not sure.”
It was an unprecedented promotion. Distinguished Paladins were supported by hundreds of new recruits from the church, and it was the Paladin’s authority to use those forces no matter how they were used.
It wasn’t bad, but it was put on hold for now. Not only did I have nothing to do with new recruits right now, but there were things I had to do before I went to the Holy Land.
“Thank you. It’s going to be a hassle, but please tell me this one by one.”
“no. Rather, I would be honored if it was helpful. The endless devotion to the gods is an example to all. Personally, I have deep respect.”
Aiden responded in roughly the same words and said goodbye.
One of the three was wrapped around his face with a bandage, but his mouth seemed to be sealed, and he only looked down.
Aiden turned his horse’s head and headed for the lord’s castle.
*
The report posted by Aiden has arrived in the Holy Kingdom and the Empire.
Killing a snow leopard, detecting anomalies in the ice cap, discovering the archaeological site, passing Arhan’s ordeal, obtaining a holy relic, subjugating mutants, and annihilating a demon farm.
It was a feat accomplished within a month. Even some people who had dismissed their past activities as mere luck now had no choice but to acknowledge Iden.
Even at the meeting of the Holy Council, which was mainly concerned with the recapture of the Holy Land, the topic of Aiden was the only thing that was buzzing on the day the report was uploaded.
There was even talk of upgrading his status to a holy family.
It was Tegain’s proposal, but the agenda was canceled because the nobles, who were full of the people’s conscience, opposed it with all their might.
Upon hearing such news, Saint Uriel faced Aiden’s seed.
Euron gave her a message.
The parchment was sealed with a seal so that no one could open it.
“Saintess, Sir Aiden asked me to check it right away.”
What would the paladin say to himself alone? Uriel broke the seal with a slightly nervous face.
A look of bewilderment appeared on her face as she read the words.
Uriel remembered what Aiden had said as he left Tegain’s office.
‘We will soon resolve the various questions the saintess has. I will contact you separately, so please come to the location without anyone accompanying you.’
The place was written in the book. However, to empty it for ten days. Due to her position as a saint, it was difficult to schedule a long break away from the church.
Uriel let out a low sigh.
“It’s really stupid.”
Euron glanced at her.
“That, that…”
Uriel tilted his head in puzzlement.
“Why are you like that?”
“So, ha.”
Euron struggled to open his mouth after much hesitation to see if there was something he could not bear to say.
“Seo, the saintess asked me to tell you this if she wanted to worry about it, but that’s really…”
Judging from Euron’s atmosphere, the saintess was able to guess roughly what Aiden had said. He must have said something that amounted to blasphemy again.
Yuriel pondered for a while, then spoke in a soft voice.
“You don’t have to. I’ll try to make an excuse somehow.”
Euron swallowed the relief. she looked like an angel
“thank you. really.”
It was a little sorry for Euron, but Iden couldn’t help it.
Even so, he had to lure the saintess.
Her mind was desperately needed.
