Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: At Wit’s End

"Scyther, use Vacuum Wave to clear the path—follow it up with Fury Cutter!"

Despite being an Elite-tier Pokémon, Scyther's superior speed wasn't enough to stop the Onix from wreaking havoc on the other Pokémon.

The only strategy left was to take down the Onix first. Only then could Fujiyama hope to break through the encirclement.

Scyther launched its Vacuum Wave, but the move was easily countered by Onix's Iron Tail.

The repeated strikes of Fury Cutter grew more powerful with each hit, eventually reaching its maximum power of 160.

"Onix, use Iron Tail!"

As the gleaming, metallic tail swung toward Scyther, two bursts of Flamethrower surged from opposite directions.

Scyther, wielding its blade-like arms, turned to counter the flames. Enduring the heat, it slashed through the fire, clearing its path.

But just as the shockwave from Onix's Iron Tail approached, Scyther was forced to block with its enhanced Fury Cutter, increasing the attack's power to its peak of 160.

Feeling immense strength coursing through its arms, Scyther unleashed the full power of Fury Cutter. The incoming shockwave seemed to threaten Onix itself.

"Onix, Dig!"

Before the attack could land, Kawada's voice rang out. Onix burrowed underground at lightning speed, evading the blow.

There was no time for Scyther to search for Onix, as Magmortar and Houndoom—who had earlier used Flamethrower to disrupt—rushed in, launching a pincer attack.

"Scyther, use Air Slash to fend them off! Move quickly!"

Seeing Onix disappear, Fujiyama hastily issued his command, but it was a moment too late.

The Air Slash was blocked by Overheat attacks from both Houndoom and Magmortar, leaving Scyther's escape route engulfed in flames.

"Scyther, take to the skies!"

With no other options, Fujiyama had Scyther retreat into the air.

While flight often provided an advantage in one-on-one battles, against multiple opponents, it turned Scyther into an easy target with no cover from incoming attacks.

As Scyther took off, Onix erupted from the ground, sinking its fangs into Scyther's leg.

The searing pain forced Scyther to counter with Slash, aiming for Onix's head.

But Onix, having the upper hand, swung its massive body to throw Scyther off balance. Without stability, Scyther couldn't land its attack.

The moment Scyther hit the ground, Onix followed up with Iron Tail.

The immense weight and force caused the ground to quake as the attack landed.

Houndoom and Magmortar followed up with a coordinated Overheat, consuming Scyther in a torrent of flames.

The relentless assault left Fujiyama with no chance to counter. Scyther was down and unable to battle.

"Fujiyama, even if you want to surrender now, I won't allow it," Kawada sneered, seeing Scyther defeated.

"I thought you hunters were scavengers, but it turns out you're just lapdogs, obediently following someone else's orders!" Fujiyama retorted, releasing the rest of his Pokémon as he spoke disdainfully.

"What's this? Trying to provoke me now that you've lost? Unfortunately, that won't work on me."

"In this world, money is the only truth. As long as the price is right, we'll take any job."

As Kawada approached, Onix unleashed its oppressive aura, subduing Fujiyama's remaining Pokémon.

The sudden pressure overwhelmed two of Fujiyama's Pokémon, who collapsed under the onslaught.

"Escort the lady to safety!" Fujiyama yelled, making one last desperate stand as his side faltered.

"Onix, Rock Tomb!"

Massive rocks rained down, separating Fujiyama's Pokémon from the rest. Isolated, they were quickly surrounded and picked off one by one.

In the blink of an eye, only Fujiyama and the young lady, Aki, remained.

Beside them, only Pinsir stood, barely holding on.

The ground rumbled again. Sensing danger, Fujiyama grabbed Aki and dove to the side as another Onix burst forth.

"Pinsir, use Vice Grip!"

"Miss, run into the forest! It's your only chance!"

Commanding Pinsir to fight, Fujiyama prepared to sacrifice himself to buy Aki time to escape.

"Onix, finish it with Iron Tail!"

"Pinsir, X-Scissor!"

The moves collided, but Pinsir was instantly overpowered, crashing heavily to the ground.

Without looking back, Aki dashed into the forest, tears streaming down her face.

Hidden nearby, Ron watched the scene unfold. He slipped away silently, following Aki.

Rescuing Fujiyama was never part of Ron's plan.

Even if he could defeat Kawada and his twenty-strong team, Ron had no connection to Fujiyama or his cause, giving him no reason to intervene.

Aki, however, intrigued him.

It wasn't romantic interest but curiosity about her story—and whether it might benefit him.

Running through the forest, Aki moved cautiously, scanning her surroundings.

Without a Pokémon to protect her, she knew even a wild Pokémon could end her life.

Slowing her pace, Aki prioritized survival over speed.

Suddenly, a Machamp appeared before her, its Elite-tier aura freezing her in place.

"No… this can't be… After all this, an Elite-tier Machamp?!"

Despair consumed her as she murmured in disbelief.

Her eyes darted around, brimming with determination, as she retreated cautiously, looking for another escape route.

A clawed hand landed silently on her shoulder.

The cold touch froze her in her tracks.

"My dear lady, would you care to explain why they're after you?"

Disguised in a black cloak and concealing his purple eyes with contact lenses, Ron stepped into view.

Back in Saffron City, Ron had prepared various disguises for moments like this.
