Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 174 – Venusaur’s Territory: Fight Ursaluna

AN: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

...

As they soared eastward, Ivysaur recounted the harrowing events. Ursaluna, harboring a grudge from a past defeat, was on a relentless quest for revenge. Unable to locate Floyd, the enraged Ursaluna followed a familiar scent to Venusaur's territory. Recognizing Venusaur, memories of previous interference and defeat fueled Ursaluna's fury, unleashing chaos upon their territory.

Venusaur, despite being at the peak of his Ace-level strength, found himself no match for Ursaluna, an Elite-level opponent. The ongoing conflict would have been a dire if not for the valiant efforts of fellow Venusaurs and the courageous Ivysaurs and Bulbasaurs.

For several days, this pattern continued: Ursaluna, weakened by poison, would retreat to recuperate in his own territory, only to return the next day with renewed vigor to assault Venusaur's domain.

Three days had passed since the conflict began, and while there had been no fatalities, Venusaur's forces sustained significant injuries. If Ursaluna's relentless attacks persisted, the possibility of grave losses loomed large for Venusaur and his allies.

In Venusaur's territory, the situation grew increasingly dire. Ivysaur, Venusaur's son, proposed seeking human assistance, but Venusaur was hesitant, harboring a deep mistrust for humans. When Ursaluna's attacks intensified, Ivysaur, driven by desperation, ventured out of their territory to seek help from the northwest without knowing that there were numerous lurking predators watching him in the forest.

Though Ivysaur fought valiantly, defeating many opponents, he sustained grave injuries. By the time Floyd encountered him, Ivysaur was so weakened that he couldn't fend off even a small group of Pidgey. He had almost resigned to his fate when Floyd unexpectedly came to his rescue.

Back at Venusaur's territory, the situation was dire. Six Venusaurs, including the leader, stood in a defensive line against Ursaluna. Meanwhile, a group of Ivysaurs and Bulbasaurs covertly launched attacks from behind.

The battleground was a scene of chaos and resilience. The six Venusaurs, guardians of their domain, stood battered and bruised, with only their leader still possessing the strength to mount a defense.

The others, though gravely injured from days of relentless conflict, stood their ground bravely against Ursaluna, determined to protect their kin at all costs.

Despite their valiant efforts, they unleashed countless Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Leech Seed, and Seed Bomb attacks. Yet, these efforts seemed only to invigorate Ursaluna, who had grown accustomed to the Sleep Powder and now seemed impervious to its effects.

Moreover, its 'Guts Ability' seemed only to amplify his strength, particularly as the Venusaur and Ivysaur groups were noticeably weaker than in previous encounters.

Suddenly, Ursaluna unleashed a Magnitude attack. The ground beneath them convulsed violently, sending tremors through the forest.

Gudooooongggg~ Gudoooooong~

The Venusaurs, Ivysaurs, and Bulbasaurs anchored themselves with their Vine Whips to maintain balance, but the force still impacted them significantly. Many of the younger Pokémon especially the Ivysaurs and Bulbasaurs, lost consciousness, overwhelmed by the ferocity of the assault.

Two of the gravely injured Venusaurs lost consciousness amidst the chaos. In response, those in the group of Venusaurs, Ivysaurs, and Bulbasaurs who could generate Grassy Terrain swiftly activated their abilities. while others lashed out with Vine Whips, attempting to ensnare Ursaluna.

"ROAR!"

But the enraged beast was relentless. With a roar, he slashed through the vines with Fury Cutter and charged, his Metal Claws glinting menacingly.

The four remaining Venusaurs unleashed a desperate Petal Blizzard, an attempt to repel the beast, but their weakened state diminished its effectiveness. The Ivysaurs and Bulbasaurs joined in, hurling Razor Leaves and Seed Bombs, but Ursaluna was quick to strike, reaching the leader Venusaur before their attacks landed. He struck the leader Venusaur with a brutal blow, leaving deep, bleeding gashes.

"SAUR!" The leader Venusaur let out a pained cry, staggered, his body marred with deep claw scratches, blood seeping from the wounds. Dizziness began to overtake him.

Then, Razor Leaf and Seed Bomb hit their mark, forcing Ursaluna to step back under the barrage.

"SAUR!" The three Venusaurs bellowed in anger, lashing out with their Vine Whips in a concerted effort to restrain Ursaluna.

"ROAR!" Ursaluna roared back, wrestling against the vines, gearing up to unleash Fury Cutter. Just then, the leader Venusaur let out a thunderous roar, a commanding sound that echoed across the battlefield.

"SAUR!"

Numerous Ivysaurs and Bulbasaurs turned their attention to their leader, sensing the urgency in his cry.

The three Venusaurs also tuned in, quickly deciphering their leader's message: he was instructing them to flee as quickly as possible and find a safe hiding place.

"Bulbasaur~"

"Ivysaur~"

"SAUR!"

A chorus of cries echoed through the area, a mix of reluctance and resolve. The group was torn, hesitant to leave their leader, yet understanding the necessity of his orders. The Leader Venusaur, with a sense of urgency and authority, howled once more, "SAUR!"

"Bulbasaur~"

"Ivysaur~"

The group, their voices laden with sorrow, quickly gathered their unconscious comrades. With heavy hearts, they followed their leader's instructions and hastened away from the scene.

"SAUR!"

The leader Venusaur, standing resolute, turned his attention to the remaining three Venusaurs. They were engaged in a fierce struggle, attempting to restrain Ursaluna using their Vine Whip attacks.

However, their efforts seemed in vain as Ursaluna, with a swift and powerful movement, severed the vines entangling him with his Fury Cutter ability. The three Venusaurs, overwhelmed with sadness, tears streaming down their faces, reluctantly joined the retreating group.

Meanwhile, the leader Venusaur, though feeling dizzy and overwhelmed, stood his ground. With a remarkable display of strength, he summoned a large plant from the ground, directing it towards Ursaluna with the powerful move 'Frenzy Plant'.

Ursaluna, undeterred, countered ferociously, slicing through the oncoming plants with his Fury Cutter and Metal Claw attacks.

In this dire moment, the leader Venusaur found himself isolated, the only one left to confront the formidable Ursaluna.

"Bulbasaur~"

"Ivysaur~"

"SAUR~"

From a distance, the leader Venusaur's subordinates watched with tear-filled eyes. They were overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness as they witnessed their leader's valiant stand against Ursaluna. Despite their eagerness to assist, they knew they were too weak to intervene.

Ursaluna, with relentless determination, cut through the myriad of plants hindering his advance. Each swipe of his Fury Cutter and Metal Claw brought him closer to the leader Venusaur.

Realizing his precarious situation, the leader Venusaur braced himself for Ursaluna's next move. His thoughts were not of himself, but of his subordinates' safety. His only wish was for them to escape, to be far from Ursaluna's territory. He also harbored hope for his son, who had fled earlier, praying for his safety and survival.

As the leader Venusaur prepared to close his eyes, accepting his fate, an unexpected development occurred. A flurry of silhouettes began advancing towards them, signaling a new turn in the battle.

Just as Ursaluna was about to unleash High Horsepower on the leader Venusaur, a dramatic intervention took place. Blastoise, employing Rapid Spin, burst onto the scene. With incredible speed and agility, he followed up with an Aqua Jet attack directed at Ursaluna.

"Blastoise!"

Caught completely off guard by Blastoise's sudden and dynamic entrance, Ursaluna was struck hard by the attack. Recognizing Blastoise from before only fueled Ursaluna's anger.

In response, Ursaluna mustered all his might into Blastoise, using his formidable Headlong Rush move. Blastoise, anticipating the impact, retreated into the safety of his robust shell, employing the 'Protect' move with impeccable timing.

Blastoise countered with his shell, using the 'Protect' move. The collision resulted in a loud BANG! Both felt the impact, with Blastoise bracing against the ground in pain and then unleashing 'Agile Style: Hydro Pump'.

This attack, faster than usual, struck Ursaluna with a sharp, piercing sound.

Wheeeeeeeeeeesh!!!!! BOOM!

"ROAR!"

Ursaluna roared in agony, the force of the Hydro Pump pushing him back several meters. The intense battle seemed to reach a temporary standstill.

To add to the chaos, another silhouette emerged a few meters behind him – it was Pidgeot!
