Too ambitious? In truth, Alex wasn't weak; Larvitar was just much stronger now. Not just anyone could lift it.
"Alright," Alex said, clapping his hands. He let Larvitar jump up on its own. The mountain was nearly half-eaten through, and Alex needed to move quickly. Otherwise, it might collapse, causing an accident.
On his way, Alex handed Rhydon an energy cube as a reward. Grandma Bertha's Rhydon had served as a diligent bodyguard, and Alex didn't want to leave it unrewarded.
"Roar!" Rhydon expressed its gratitude, accepting the energy cube and starting to chew.
Alex thanked Rhydon before recalling it back into the Poké Ball.
