Pokémon Kyanite and Copper (Revised Version)

Third person POV

 Rico was happy to hear that. "Okay, that's the spirit! Let's go back!" And so, both boys and Rico's Riolu and Starly went back to the contest. There, both of them sat down, and Riolu and Starly sat near Rico's seat. At this point, the 7 judges who will judge each of the contestants' artful book covers had started judging the book covers made by Rico, Adrian, and the other 198 contestants. The judging took over an hour, and once that was done, the 7 book cover critics went back to their seats and started analyzing their judgments on those submitted book covers. That one, however, took only 45 minutes to be finished. So, after that, the 7 judges passed the decisions of their voting for the best book covers of the year to the host, who then announced the voting results and had the screen behind him show the results and ranks of the book covers according to the 7 judges' decisions based on their personal judgments. Then, after a mere 50 seconds of loading, the screen showed the ranks of the book covers from the top to the last. Rico's book cover ranked 7th, while Adrian's ranked 20th. Jonathan's ranked 10th. Paulita's ranked 14th, and Aquila's ranked 11th. Others were randomly put into other ranks as well. Upon seeing that, Rico, Adrian, Jonathan, and the others were very shocked that their places were arranged like that.

 "Wait, what?" Rico commented.

Riolu was stunned, too.

 "Woah…" Adrian added.

His two cousins and Jonathan couldn't believe their eyes.

Adrian's uncle and aunt were thrilled that their nephew, children, and their friends had made it to the top 20, but not too prideful or boasting.

 So, the host called the participants' names that were placed in the top 20 first, then the others last. Rico and those whose works were listed in that top 20 did so, walking to the stage. Then, the host gave them a gold trophy each to the top 20 while congratulating each of them for their hard work. Rico, Adrian, and the rest of the top 20 Book Cover Artists were happy that they had made it, while the other participants not in the top 20 applauded while accepting their lower spots in the awards. Riolu, Starly, Absol, and other Pokémon of the top 20 were happy for them and cheering for them. The day at 10 o'clock was so good and full of cheering and fun times. Rico and those in the top 20 received a very good reward for their hard work in the contest.

 But at the same time, Shion was now on her way to Galen city after acquiring the badge from Kale when her phone rang with a notification. She picked it up and looked at the notification. "What the…?" she was stunned, before playing the short video taken by someone who had attended the event. The video shows that Rico was on the stage holding a gold trophy. Shion was shocked with mild anger. "Wha…? Rico?! Why…Why…?"

She was very frustrated, wanting to outdo him.

Her Absol saw her frustration and was confused by it.
