Pokemon The Mirage Of Illusions

As Girafarig crumples to the ground both Whitney and Amelia have no words and the only sound that cuts through the silence is breathing and the sound of Girafarig being returned to their Pokeball.

Relaxing my overworked muscles, I slowly start to trot back over towards Amelia's side of the field without giving the unconscious giraffe a second look. 'Damn that was stressful! Thankfully the guy wasn't that smart and let me get my Taunt off without any issues. Though using so many Quick Attack's was more straining than I thought. I guess you can't just spam priority moves without drawback.'

Walking back to Amelia's side of the field I curl up and lay down on the nice kept and warm grass, trying to soothe my muscles before my next battle. 'Thankfully I learned Taunt easily enough. I need to go back and learn some more from Houndoom, she was actually a good teacher all things considered...Though maybe I should try to learn a Fighting Type move first? Or maybe an actual Ghost Type move since I still haven't even learn Astonish yet..'

Both Whitney and Amelia are still frozen at my nonchalant demeanor at my victory before Whitney shouts out. "That was great! How long have you been training him!? Your other Pokemon was strong but that little guy is so crafty! How'd you train him? I just have to know!?"

Across the field Whitney jumps up and down excitedly and it seems like she almosts runs onto the field before holding herself back and restraining herself to just shouting out questions. While Amelia has the same giddiness at by victory and acts nearly the exact same. "I trained him with my cousin! Though even I'm surprised! I ddin't think he'd be this good after only a month or so!"

Whitney's mouth gapes at that and she stomps one of her feet in disbelief. "What?? Only a month!? That's amazing! Your cousin has got to give me their training regimen, I've been trying to raise an Eevee for over 3 months now!"

As Whitney and Amelia converse the sounds of shouting can be heard at the sidelines as on the bleachers Gold and Pibu are having a heated argument about me??? Either way it's loud enough for everyone on the battlefield to hear it.

"I'm telling you they just got lucky! Besides, I've never seen her use a Girafarig before! She must still be using her normal Gym team!"

"Pichu!! (You take that back! And for your information luck is a skill you just haven't mastered it! Also if you payed any attention when you "researched" her team you'd know that she doesn't use a Girafarig in any of her Gym teams!)"

While Pibu and Gold argue it doesn't take longer than thirty seconds before a shadow forms over them as Miltank drives her hooves into the back of the two idiots heads, which thanks to my enhanced sight I can see instantly knockes out both Pibu and Gold, knocking them behind the bleachers and out of sight.

"Mooo (When will you two learn...)"

I decide that that is the right time to focus back on the task at hand and looking at the previously gossiping girls they also agree.

"Alright! You can choose to make a substitution or you can stay in with your cutie pie!" Whitney once again makes the rules clear while readying her her next Pokemon which so happens to be in a pink Pokeball.

Before Amelia responds she glances over at my resting figure and nods to herself and then speaks. "We'll stay in!"

And at the respond Whitney gives a smile and then throws out her pink Pokeball that can now be easily identified as a Love Ball, that releases a large pink Pokemon with sparkle and accompanying noise.

"Go Furret!" The large weasel lands with a decent thump on the ground and fully stretches out to around 7 feet long and its cotton candy colored fur starts to glisten in the sunlight. As it is released it looks down at me with a...Sparkle in it's eye? And they immediately dash over to and coil around me.

though strangely there is nothing harmful about their actions in fact they seem very careful and in a split second the Furret already has me coiled up with it as it stares me into my eyes before opening their mouth.

"Fur, Ret! (Oh! My! Arceus! You are adorable!!!)" And with that it...No, She pulls me into a tight coil and starts nuzzling into me with all her might.
