Rabbit Goddess: REVAMPED

Kaguya stared at the humans milling around the streets with a manic grin on her face, but soon the look on her face turned completely neutral. Kaguya knew that she could travel to other worlds, but what now? From what she could feel, all of these humans were weak, much weaker than even the civilians in her past world. There wasn’t much she could gain from a world like this except for maybe technology.

However, instead of going down there right away, Kaguya decided to find someone to do her bidding. After all, thanks to the memories she took from Janet, she knew that it would be annoying if she revealed herself to the humans. It wasn’t like she was scared of them, but they could be annoying as hell. They would accost her and keep accosting her until she killed them.

No… Kaguya did not want to do that as it would be a huge waste of time. She could do more research on the worlds she was planning to visit. For example, Janet did not know much about Marvel, DC, or the DXD Universe. Janet quickly gave up on Marvel since it lacked any happy endings and it was the same for the DC. However, Janet gave up on DXD because she hated the main character.

Kaguya wasn’t going to lie, from what little she had seen of DXD, she hated him too. If she ever went to the DXD world to collect more power, then she would simply take the Boosted Gear from him before killing the pathetic fool… The power to kill Gods was wasted on a pervert like him. However, now was not the time to think about killing someone who was worlds away from her.

Kaguya needed to leave this place before she could get noticed and find some fool to do her bidding… Maybe, she could help that Riley person since she had already killed Janet. At that time, Kaguya was not happy that someone had tried to take over her body and had killed Janet without thinking much. If it wasn’t for Janet then she would have been sealed again.

Maybe, she could pay back the girl by saving this Riley person…

Kaguya opened another portal and stepped through, arriving over the S. M. Nursing Home in New Jersey. Even though Kaguya was completely new to this planet, she had the memories of Janet to help her along. Kaguya scanned the building and spotted a man smoking a cigarette on the roof. She couldn’t understand why a man working in a place like this would smoke, considering smoking caused cancer.

However, Kaguya quickly dismissed the thought. After all, humans were very good at killing themselves…

Kaguya moved and appeared in front of the man… The man slowly turned toward her and his eyes grew wide when he noticed her looks, but before he could scream or do anything foolish, she cast a Genjutsu on him. She did not want to waste her time dealing with humans. She simply wanted to take care of her business and move along.

“Take me to Riley” Kaguya ordered.

“Which Riley?” The man asked in return.

Kaguya froze for a moment as she recalled the memories she took from Janet to look for more details. “Riley Sanderson” Kaguya answered.

“Alright, follow me” The man directed with a blank look on his face before he tossed away the cigarette in his hand and started to lead her inside the building like it was the most normal thing to do. Kaguya came across a few more humans on the way and every time she used Genjutsu to make them ignore her. Kaguya also noticed the CCTV cameras but decided not to do anything about them.

If anybody came to accost her then she could simply kill them and leave this place…

“She is in there” The man pointed at a room and Kaguya simply ordered him to leave. There were two people inside the room along with a lot of electronics. Kaguya entered the room and for a moment her eyes grew slightly wide when she noticed Janet lying on the bed while Riley was sitting on the chair, feeling some fruits. Janet was still alive, then who did she kill?

“Ahhhh!!” Janet screamed loudly followed by Riley at the sight of Kaguya. She no longer looked anything like she looked in the anime, so it was kind of understandable why the two of them failed to recognize her. However, Kaguya pursed her lips in displeasure… They were loud and smelly and even though they were probably afraid of her, they shouldn’t be screaming like that.

After all, she was the pinnacle of beauty and not a monster!!

“If you two don’t shut u then I am going to kill you and then bring you back so that I can kill you again” Kaguya declared in a cold tone and even though she was speaking loudly, both Janet and Riley clearly heard her words over the screaming. The two of them immediately closed their mouths with their own hands in fear. They did not know what was happening, but neither of them wanted to be killed.

“Good” Kaguya nodded her head in satisfaction before raising her hand in the air. Both Janet and Riley flinched back in fear… However, Kaguya ignored them and engraved a Fuinjutsu seal on the door with her extremely sharp nails. The seal flashed for a moment before the walls shimmered. Kaguya could already see a couple of cars arrive outside the hospital.

Kaguya wasn’t expecting the security to call the cops this soon and the seal was to make sure that no one would interrupt them…

“Mother, who are these people?” Zetsu asked as he creeped out of her sleeve. Her mother came looking for these specific people, which meant they were at least a bit important, but how did her mother know them? After all, they couldn’t have been alive for a thousand years, right?

“Z-Zetsu?” Janet ended up mumbling in pure horror and Zetsu’s eyes immediately focused on the girl. Zetsu was pretty sure that he had never been to another world, so how did the girl know him?

“Calm down, my son. This girl is my benefactor even though she probably knows nothing about it” Kaguya stroked her sleeve lovingly and Zetsu seemed to calm down.

“Yo-You are Kaguya?” Riley asked in a fearful tone as she slowly placed herself in front of Janet. According to the memories she took from Janet, Riley always treated Janet as her own daughter so Kaguya could appreciate the fact that a mother was trying to protect her daughter even though she knew just how dire her situation was. “How are you here?” Riley asked in a trembling tone.

“When I am supposed to be just a character in an anime, right?” Kaguya asked and once again, both Janet and Riley trembled in fear.

“It was just like any other day when all of a sudden, a human Soul tried to possess me. After being sealed for so long, I decided to humor myself and inspect the memories of the Soul… Color me surprised, when I saw myself in that Soul’s memories as a simple villain who was supposed to lose against the main characters. To say, the memories opened my eyes to all of my faults” Kaguya explained indifferently.

“Those memories are what allowed me to change my fate and there is only one person I have to thank for that” Kaguya explained softly before her gaze focused on Janet. “Janet, you are the one who set me free” Kaguya revealed and Janet felt her whole world collapse at those words.

First of all, anime worlds were real and all the characters were real… Wasn’t that a shocker? Janet and Riley both were already having a hard time wrapping their heads around that fact and now, they just discovered that Janet was the reason why Kaguya was able to change her fate and win against the main characters. How were they supposed to react to that?

After all, Kaguya was a villain… Riley might have tried to take her side in arguments, but she never expected Kaguya to be real…

“No… No… This can’t be happening. You are not real! You are not real!!” Janet screamed as she started to shake her head in denial. It was simply impossible for her to accept the fact that someone like Kaguya was set free by her. Kaguya was an evil monster and she was the reason why the humans in the Naruto world were dead. How could she accept something like that?

“Woman, tell her to get a grip” Kaguya said coldly, snapping Riley out of her attempts to calm Janet. “I am here because I am grateful. She helped me even though unwillingly and in exchange, I am willing to heal both you and her, but I have other things to do instead of wasting my time here” Kaguya explained indifferently, making Riley shudder.

Riley seemed to frantically look around for a moment before she stabbed Janet with an injection. Janet seemed to become sleepy before she slumped down in the bed… Kaguya was impressed at the woman’s decisiveness… The woman did not try to argue or anything, but she decided to choose the best course of action considering their situation.

Riley took a few deep breaths “Can you take us out of here? If you heal us and leave us here then we are never going to see the light of the day ever again. They are going to take us to some lab and imprison us there to run tests on us” Riley requested before explaining her situation. She was still scared out of her mind and she still couldn’t wrap her head around what was happening, but Riley knew that now was not the time to lose her mind.

“Am I not doing you a boon already by healing the two of you and you want more? Hmph! Just what I expect from humans. You are quite the greedy lot” Kaguya snorted in derision.

Riley clutched her hands and her mind started to race… “I will help you. You said you have other things to do, right? I will help you with anything you want if you help us” Riley proposed.

“Aren’t you just a sick woman?” Kaguya asked.

“I have my ways. Just trust me” Riley practically begged.

Kaguya narrowed her eyes. “Fine, but if I realize that you were simply using me then I will make your death painful beyond your imagination” Kaguya declared and her Tenseigan flashed eerily. “Where do you want me to take you?” Kaguya asked.

“To the parking lot outside. That would do it” Riley quickly answered and picked up Janet in her arms after disconnecting all the wires from the younger girl. Kaguya opened a Portal leading to the parking lot outside. Without wasting any time, Riley entered the Portal while carrying Janet in her arms and Kaguya followed the duo. The unlikely trio arrived at the parking lot and Riley started to look around for a moment before she placed Janet on the ground.

At first, she wanted to ask Kaguya to hold Janet, but she did not dare to take any more chances… Riley pulled out a key from her purse and held it between her middle finger and ring finger before curling her fist in such a way that the pointed end of the key was sticking out of her fist. Then she walked up to one of the cars and punched the window breaking it.

The car alarm started to blare but Riley did not look worried… She quickly pulled out some wires from under the steering wheel and started to mess around with them. Moments later, the alarm stopped and the engine started to purr. “Get in” Riley said and Kaguya stared at the woman for a moment before she climbed into the back seat.

From what she could deduce from the memories what Riley did was called carjacking and it was not a piece of common knowledge. Kaguya smiled slightly as she realized that there was more to Riley than what met the eyes… Riley quickly put Janet in the passenger seat before securing the girl with a seatbelt and then she hopped into the driver’s seat.

“Give me your phone” Kaguya demanded before Riley could get the car moving. Riley pulled out her phone from the purse and unlocked it before handing it over to Kaguya.

“What are you going to do with that?” Unable to hold back her curiosity, Riley asked.

“Business” Kaguya answered coldly as she opened the browser and glared at Riley with her Rinne Sharingan. The woman got the message and started to drive without wasting any more time, leaving Kaguya to her own devices, which was the best course of action for anyone in Riley’s shoes…
