Chapter 70: Dungeon Part 10: Madness



She checks herself by the time she gets back into the fight. All her skills should have been refreshed by then. Rubbing her weary eye lifting her heavy shield Amalya sighs as the dragon with his cracked teeth stumbles towards her. They both start with their biggest skills a tiger rushing blast and a red hot fire blast clash producing a small explosion before they dissipate letting their owners go at it. 

The dragon spins whipping its tail at her. She blasts forward meeting the tail halfway numbing most of its damage. Amalya smiles launching a series of simple attacks. The dragon raises a hind leg blocking the shot. Just like she wanted she has to slow it down it has too many weapons wearing down the limbs has been her purpose the whole time. The dragon fights well using everything it has to defend and attack.

Standing on its hind leg for the last time as it gives under its massive weight. The dragon getting closer to Amalya follows its body and in a desperate attack rolls its whole body forward. Amalya snickers in anger this monsters reactions are too quick for its size. Still, she has an option blocking it. 

They smash into each other Amalya slides back the dragon spins into her. She keeps simple attacking. Short Bursts of and swinging of her cannon. The combatants fall at each other's feet each tired and weary. Scores of cuts and tears pools of blood. 

Amalya pulls back her spirit cannon an inkling within her makes her raise her shield. Somehow the dragon rips around slashing at her wildly each blow sapping life. She feels her arms ache she smiles at the pressure from the dragon.

Her life trickles away, slowly the unending dragon slashes pushing her to the brink. Pop! Her cannon goes off hit the dragon in a soft spot. The wail and reticent growl of the dragon. She peaks over her shield a massive gaping hole has appeared on its side. A waterfall of blood leaving the dragon. The dragon stumbles trying its hardest to stay on its feet. It starts growling, Amalya trying to catch her breath and watching as her health slowly climbs up. She plans to attack as soon as she has fifty per cent health. She knows it's risky but this is also her best opportunity so far.

The growling rumbles in her chest too, strange glowing lines appear around the dragon. Sounds of crystal shards pulling themselves together. The dragons' blood stiffens around the dragon its health rapidly returning. Amalyas' face pales with distraught, scrapping her poorly laid plans she has to wait for all her health to return. 

A few minutes later the blood coat begins to crack and fall to the ground. The dragon has become even more imposing. Its scales are now bloodshot red with an internal shine that gives them a shimmer. Its claws drip with life-giving blood. The strong smell of iron coming off its warm body. A mist of blood appears around the fully healed dragon. 

Nineth Immortal can't fathom how she is supposed to take down this monster. Its high level is one thing. She has not face a level of a creature so high. She is sure that she can use her tattoo like before to weaken the Dragon. It is clear to her that is the only way to pass this dungeon with all its dragons. 

The Leviathan is ignoring her commands not even responding. As an intelligent creature, she should be able to talk to it or at least taunt into releasing her friends. That thought was quickly dismissed as beyond feasible. The four pockets of air holding her friends at least let her rest easy that they won't drown. The loss of Magic power is bad though when a player reaches zero magic power for an extended period of time. They pass out similar to being fatigued after which they will suffer painful headaches until they rest. 

Nineth Immortal at the current rate of consumption she has about fifteen minutes to act and save her friends. The magic effects of magic power fatigue are truly detrimental to a player. Many players are already learning that besides death, magic power fatigue can also lose a player experience. As the in-game lore explains that when a player beats a most. They absorb their essence in a passive process which can be tracked as experience points. It is why most nobles send their children to massive parties when they are still young to gain free experience. 

"Free experience points!" says Styx talking to his team in chat. Styx has just killed another player that has been trying to hunt the team. 

Frey says, "Pretty much it's a shame they are not better coordinated." In truth, this is a blessing but after fighting as many players as they have a little bragging is normal. The jungle has turned into a cemetery for none Sunken Reef players. Frey and Styx attack with mercy all the players they come across. Under Freys' instruction, they are hunting all the players to give themselves a chance. 

She figures a focused campaign will whittle their appetite for them. Their small numbers and excellent support like Umbra, Eclipse and Shadow. Their teams is filled with high DPS dealers only players like Umbra and Shadow with the void element are extremely potent at hit and run tactics.

Eclipse says, "I have found another team no healers, One tank and one ranged and three warriors." The jungle is another level of interference. In their particular neck of the jungle, the players are all hunting them. She had moved them deeper to create distance between any random group of players. Yet players from Frost ridge, Arctic Dew, Snow Wave and Blizzard. Given the common theme, she figured it must be an alliance of some sort. The quick search she did showed no results. Most collectives of players be they alliances or High ranking professionals tend to advertise their association. The most famous of these is the international level power called the Sabra Guild. All their subordinate groups have names like Sabra-dragon and Sabra-jaguar. 

Shadow is the first to moves towards eclipse keeping an eye out for other players parties in the area. Three flames shaped like shuriken fly into the group from Iceland. This player guild is a new formation they also don't have a presence but SHadow would be a fool to not see. They are all connected how is question Frey has no interest in finding out who is hunting them. To her who cares more about role believes it will work out better for her overall gameplay experience. If she goes all out forcing the power behind what must be at least twenty small guilds, parties to work towards a common goal. 

The others attack as soon as they arrive. The players from Iceland guild couldn't react because of [Void Zone] which applies a zone of darkness around Shadow. This darkness makes sit impossible for them to see, feel, hear and taste anything outside of their bodies. To his allies, it marks the players out for them. 

They are moving deeper and deeper into the jungle with each engagement. Frey is also not content to let them fall behind so she is still following the general order from SKY Ocean Hunter that they need to clear all the encampments. It's also good that by doing so they also complete the mission given by the old pervert man. At Pike beach, Medium Bunz is plotting something though it has nothing to do with her mission at the moment. She is keeping an eye out because as warned by Styx she needs to be aware of this force working in the background to suppress them. 

In Styxs' estimation, they have caught the ire of some power. Styx has left the team in her control as he is talented in other areas. Plus her bright firey spicey personality gives her the right stuff for it. Plus this is only temporary as they will be forming the eight-man squad soon. Styx is excited the leaders and vice leaders are going to make a big splash. Tyr and SKY Ocean Hunter have different views on how to get it done but at least they plan to. 

Styx is excited to see if they can do it. Three rulership classes in one team is already mad. Styx is also impressed by the variations of classes available to players. He ventures that later on, they will have to form massive teams to raid the most valuable dungeons. Right now he is trying to build a profile for all the major players in the region. The kingdom of Asrugo sits on the western centre of the Dragon Jaw Mountain range. For now, he will focus on becoming familiar with western centre powers. They will have to stomp them out to secure their dominance in this part of the world. Which is the only they will experience a true Odyessy...
