Seeing Gu Kai Xuan with his head down, Su Ling felt a moment of panic, but quickly composed herself.

Liu Yu pushed up the glasses with only one lens remaining.

With a smile, he said, "But he's a useful child. Miss Su, how about joining us? Whatever Sheng Hongye can offer you, I can offer you tenfold. With my ability and your skills, we can create an invincible fortress."

Su Ling reached for the shotgun placed beside the door, which Sheng Hongye had taken from Xin Zan's hands.

Calmly, she asked, "What do you really know?"

Seeing the child on the ground, Su Ling immediately shouted, "Professor Bai, use your ability to save the child."

As she spoke, Gu Kai Xuan flew back into the base.

Professor Bai had used his ability to pull Gu Kai Xuan to safety.

Er Lei had already pulled the trigger, and one of the sedan's tires instantly deflated, emitting a harsh screeching sound as the car spun in place.

Just as Su Ling was about to meet her doom, her body suddenly flew towards the door, crashing heavily into the iron-plated door.

Professor Bai quickly opened the door and pulled Su Ling inside.

His face, with its deep wrinkles, was covered in sweat.

With a muffled bang, a hole was blown through the car's windshield.
