Reincarnated as Ravel Phenex (DxD)

Chapter 21: I Want Rias and Her Peerage to Be My Slaves

THIRD POV—

Today was the day when Rias was going to engage with Riser. It was an auspicious day, that was what Ravel thought. The events occurred in the same order. Like cannon, Rias and her peerage lost in a very brutal way. Riser defeated them single-handedly. While Rias's team was getting decimated by him, Ravel was enjoying the match with popcorn in her hand.

Right now, Ravel was sitting on a sofa and watching the look on Rias's face.

Rias's face was submerged in sadness. She knew that if she married that bastard, not only her life would be destroyed but also, her peerage would suffer. Riser would treat the peerage girls as his personal property and the boys as mere servants. They were like her family, and she didn't want them to suffer that fate. Suddenly, her big brother came to her.

Sirzechs said, "Rias, can I talk with you for a second?" he turned towards Riser, "I am taking her away for some talk, hope you won't mind."

Riser said, "Of course, Lord Lucifer. I don't mind. You can take my fiancée."

Sirzechs smiled, and went to a secluded room with Rias following him. She asked, "What do you want to say brother?"

Sirzechs said, "Are you happy?" He was always against the marriage of his sister with that pervert. Despite being the direct descendant of Phenex clan, his behaviour is no different from a roadside ruffian. On top of that, he wanted his sister to marry someone that she loved. He didn't want her to be a political tool.

Rias smiled sadly. She said, "Do I have any choice? If I don't fake my happiness then, my peerage..."

Sirzechs sighed, "I have an idea. I can somehow stop this engagement. Do anyone would be alright apart from Riser?"

Rias scoffed, "Everyone is alright apart from Riser."

Sirzechs had a plan. He said, "Go and stand near that bastard. I will try my best." He got out of the room, and started heading towards Ravel.

Ravel was having the best time of her life. She was eating lots of food, from spicy to sweet; she was trying out everything. Suddenly, she spotted Sirzechs coming towards her. He had a smile bloomed on his face. Was he happy with this engagement? Nope, either he was acting or, he was scheming something. That sis-con bastard would go any length for his sister. But why was he heading to her direction?

Ravel glared at Sirzechs as he stood near her. He asked, "Is the food to your liking?" She didn't say anything, and just nodded her head. He continued, "Gremory house did spent a lot of money on the food department. My father handled everything personally."

Ravel narrowed her eyes at his words. What was he trying to achieve with those words? She said, "It's... good, I guess."

Sirzechs said, "Marry my sister."

Ravel chocked on her food. Sirzechs words shocked her. She quickly drank some water, and started coughing. After calming down, she asked, "What did you just say?!"

Sirzechs replied, "I want you to marry my sister. You two brothers won't marry Rias, and I am also not going to ask them."

Ravel asked "Why me?"

He said, "If my sister is engaged with you, she will be safe. Later on, when she finds her true love, you can break the contract." She scoffed at his words. Everything that he said now, would work only in Rias's favour. What did Sirzechs think her as? Was she a fool?

Sirzechs could tell that Ravel's patience would burst at any moment. Her face was red with anger. He believed that Ravel was a very strong individual. While she hadn't done anything to prove his belief, he believed his gut. And his gut was always right.

He said, "I am not ordering you. I am requesting you. Also, I am requesting you to do this for free. As, Lucifer's future sister-in-law, I would give you some benefits. I could give you a position at the council or, even a seat at the ministry. I could make you the owner of the industries that I own."

Seat? Ravel had no interest in any power. Being in council or, ministry would just be too taxing. She would be drowned in the paperwork. She died from overwork in her last life. This life, she would be staying far away from any paperwork.

After thinking for some time, just as she was about to refuse him, an idea entered her head. That was it. Ravel said, "I have no interest in joining your council, or ministry. I don't want to do any paperwork. So," Sirzechs face was full of anxiety, "I would accept it, but I have three conditions."

Sirzechs sighed in relief. He asked, "What are those?"

Ravel replied, "First, you would give those industries but I won't manage them. You would do that for me," He nodded, "I want your family's personal train. The train that connects Underworld and the human world. That's my second condition."

He nodded his head albeit, a bit reluctantly. He asked, "Third?"

Ravel smirked, "I want Rias and her peerage to be my slaves for two months."
