Chapter 11: Bloodbath.
Next morning.
"Do you know a place that we can stay other than town and city?"
"There is an abandoned cabin in the forest that I use to kill people."
"Where is it?" Levi ignored the latter part. He has checked Clara's, or the Blood Witch's, information in the town. Kidnapping, torture, and killing. But after gathering more information, she only targets evil people. They have done the same thing to innocent people. Because of that, she is a menace to the rich and powerful but an avenger to the normal civilian.
"Violet Forest, but it's almost winter and it’s not safe."
"Is there no other place?" Levi doesn’t want to stay in town. Since he has a serial killer and a monster companion.
"There is an abandoned fortress in Violet Forest."
"Good, let’s go."
"But the fortress is occupied by the Violet Viper Bandit."
"Can we kill them?"
"Yes, but let me enter to investigate first," Clara suggested.

At night, the Demon Lion Bandit lairs. The fortress is protected by half a cycle wall, and the other half is attached to a tall mountain cliff. With this, the enemy can only attack the front wall. To attack from behind, they might fall from the cliff, and the guard will be ready to kill them once they touch the ground. However, now the ones guarding it are undisciplined bandits, not soldiers.
"I need a woman."
"Be patient; once they have had their fun, it's our turn."
Both man don’t realize someone has already entered the fortress.
Clara doesn’t know why Levi needs this place. But she doesn’t care; there are many people similar to her. However, most of them are crazy. She saw her scarred body and face, which reminded her of her past. She wanted to kill Austin, the slave trader. But manages to control herself.
She stops and looks out the window at the upper floor of the building, and she can sense someone with strong vital energy. That means there is an Adept rank. The primitive magic user is sensitive to the element. For her, it's blood, and because of that, she can detect and gauge the opponent's strength.
‘Should I kill the adept first?' After thinking for a while, she decided to climb the building wall to enter through the window. Blood comes out of his fingers and creates a red claw to help her climb the stone wall.

Two armored men are guarding the door. Inside the room, there is a lot of screaming and moaning.
"It looks like the captain is rough tonight."
"Yes, at first he looked at us with disgust; now he is the same."
Suddenly, the noise stopped. "Why are they quiet?" The guards, feeling something was wrong, opened the door. But what greeted them was a two-red sword pierced through their stomach. They tried to scream for help, but it was too late, and their bodies began to shrivel and collapse.
On the bed are the naked corpses of a man and a woman. Both of them have sword wounds on their bodies. Clara has no choice but to kill both of them, when the man is on top of the woman. If she tried to avoid killing the woman, it was going to take time to kill the adept rank warrior. After that, she dragged the two guards inside the room and closed the door.
"Adept warrior blood is great." Her body feels warm, and her strength has increased.

Levi and Ben have been waiting outside the fortress. From the test that he has done for Clara, she doesn’t show any problems. However, he still needs to be careful. How many times has he thought everything was going well? And suddenly being backstabbed.
"Everything is done." Clara comes out of the woods.
"How was it?"
"Everything is fine." After she explains everything that happens inside, Levi begins to devise a plan.
Clara, when she reached the fortress wall, used her blood magic as a rope to latch on to the gap in the wall and pull herself up until she reached the top. The bandits that are standing guard are dozing off or drunk. She walks near the bandit, and a bloody sword materializes in her hand. Swinging her sword, a head will be decapitated. Most creatures can’t survive without a head.
Several bandits wake up to see a scarred-faced woman killing their comrade before dying. On top of the wall, the bandits scattered on the floor, not moving. With a missing head or a hole in their body. But there is no blood coming out of the corpses.
After waiting for 15 minutes, the wall gate makes a noise and begins to open. Levi and Ben enter. When Levi growls, the horned bear dashes inside the fortress while Levi waits at the gate. He doesn’t want any bandits to escape. At the same time, this is the last test for Clara to see if she can be trusted. This is a gamble for him, and the stake is his life. Sometimes he needs to take a risk to achieve something. He doesn’t want to always worry about his life.
A scarred woman walks toward Levi and stands beside him.
"How are the bandits at the wall?" Levi asked without changing his expression. He is ready to fight back to the death if she attacks.
"Dead, what to do now?"
"We wait for the bandit to come here." Levi is waiting for a sudden attack. But she just stands beside him. While looking around for any bandits.

"RAWRRRR!"
"What is that?"
"Maybe a monster in the forest." It is not unusual for them to hear a monster roar.
Some of the bandits wake up, but most of them go back to sleep. Only after the door of the room broke open and a large black creature entered. They all wake up from the bed. Because of the creature's large size, the wall holding the door collapsed.
Ben's mouth is covered with blood. With his nose, he can smell humans. In town, he was really tempted to eat a human. But Levi already gives him a warning of no food or honey if he kills humans without permission. Now, Ben can kill and eat as many people as he wants.
"Shit how a monster can enter the fortress." The bandit takes his weapon and brandishes it at the horned bear. However, nothing happens; the sword can’t penetrate the monster's skin.
The horned bear turns his head toward the attacker and snarls. Ben attacked by biting the bandit's head, and blood spurted from the empty neck. The bandits inside the room can only watch in horror as their friend is killed. After spitting out the bloody bandit’s head, the horned bear attacked the other bandit inside the room.
"Nooo!"
"Help!"
A bandit who is missing an arm manages to escape from the room. Along the passageway, he can see several bloody corpses. His only hope to survive is to go and find the leader or the young master. A few months ago, a man and his group killed the previous leader and took over the bandit group. To survive, he chooses to surrender, because among the young master guards is an Adept rank warrior.
The bandit's body became tired because of the blood loss. He can hear a loud roar and the screams of people. He is finally near the young master's room. Two armored guards guarding the door have heard the scream. But the scream inside the fortress is normal.
"Monster attack!"
"What happens?"
The bandit with the missing arm explained everything and then fainted.
"Quick, we need to tell the captain!"
"You guard the young master, and I will go to see the steward."
"What about him?" The armored guard pointed at the fainted bandit.
"Leave him, our priority is the young master."

At the gate, Levi is sitting while waiting for the bandits.
"They are slow." Said Levi.
"Ben might have killed them all."
"We wait for one more hour and close the gate."
"When are you going to start cooking?"
"Do you think this is the right time to cook, and I don’t bring anything with me? We need to return to the forest to get the stuff later."
While they are talking, several people come running toward them. Before Clara is ready to attack. Levi raises his hand to stop her. "Let me do it." He takes out his sword and practices swinging it a few times. He is not a great warrior like people in this world, but he has used a sword before in his past life.
"Bastard, who are you? Move aside!"
Levi ignored the threat and sprinted toward one of the bandits, swinging his sword.
"Ahhhh!" A long gash appears on the bandit's shoulder, and blood spurts. Before the blood hits him, Levi goes to the next bandit. Just like he predicted, humans here are only slightly stronger than humans on Earth because of mana. Only when they enter apprentice rank does their body begin to change. But how many people can become warriors and mages?
While thinking a few more bandits would die from his sword. "I still can’t infuse the sword with mana." Levi saw Nolan bisect the attacker's body after shrouding the sword with mana to make it sharper.
