Reincarnated to Bonk in Another World

Chapter 136: Return

"Irena!" Yale's shout resounded inside the forest.

"Got it!" Irena leaped to the front and struck a few branches, opening up a path for Albert. After that, she tilted her body to the left, allowing Albert to aim at the tree.

Bonkbolt.

The tree immediately spun a bit, exposing the human it had caught earlier.

The human immediately raised its hands and multiple roots came out of the ground to catch Albert instead of protecting the body.

Seeing this, Albert leaped forward.

Bonk Dash.

Anti-Horny Shield.

He used the two skills in rapid succession. When the branches struck the shield, they snapped with the splinters getting blown away.

Then, the five Bonk Bats struck the tree, launching it to the ground.

The dryad seemed to have no intention of stopping as it was already prepared to send its roots. The branches even moved toward Irena and Yale.

Fortunately, another wave of Bonkbolt hit the dryad down, knocking the hands and body. Yet, the roots didn't seem to stop. They continued to rise to prevent Albert from coming.

It was the time for Jessie to make his appearance.

"Bonk Projection!"

Multiple Bonk Bats appeared in the air. Albert hurriedly stepped on them, climbing up while avoiding the roots. Even if the roots tried to destroy the stairs made of Bonk Bats, they would only be shattered, so these were the best stairs Albert could get.

He landed right on top of the dryad and hit her multiple times before striking the trunk to get the crystal.

As soon as he removed the crystal from its body with his hand, he crushed it.

Without the tree spirit, the trunk wouldn't have enough strength to bind the dryad.

Shella appeared out of thin air and skillfully struck the branches that were connected to the human body.

Bepe then took a blanket from the bag and wrapped the girl's body.

"This is already the fourth one…" Albert frowned. "How many tree spirits do we need to eliminate?"

"According to the druid, there are approximately a thousand tree spirits. We've crushed a hundred of them as of now with four of them becoming a dryad. Three of these people are druids, while the last one seems to have been captured recently. In other words, an adventurer." Yale answered like usual.

"I see. I don't know how other adventurers are doing, but I guess we've done pretty well." Albert nodded. "Well, we've saved four of them, and they are not that injured."

"Yes. I hope there's no case that we need to kill them just because the enemy is too strong." Yale agreed with what Albert said, hoping for the best.

"Indeed. The deeper we are, the more dryads, no?"

"Yeah. They're supposed to be protecting the mother tree. So, we should expect around two hundred dryads in total."

"In that case, let's take at least ten of them out of the forest one time. I, Bepe, Irena, and Shella can carry two of them."

"Understood."

As soon as they came to an agreement, Shella and Bepe picked up all four bodies and followed Albert going deeper.

They met another dryad pretty soon and continued that way. As Albert expected earlier, the deeper they went, the more dryads they met.

Albert didn't care much about it and eliminated all the tree spirits.

As soon as they had ten people, they immediately headed back to the adventurer camp.

Unexpectedly, once they came out, the atmosphere that met them was heavy. There were two people lying on the ground. Their skin was pale and a few people were crying around them.

"Hmm? They've fallen?" Albert squinted his eyes.

"Apparently." Yale acknowledged it.

"I guess the dryad is stronger than our imagination…" Albert sighed while scratching the back of his head.

Irena was the first to agree with her statement. She completely realized that without the bonk power, they would have a hard time dealing with the tree spirit and the dryad.

After all, the branches would be able to injure or grasp them. And when they were captured, the situation would become messy, considering they would be intoxicated for days.

On the other hand, those, who had accepted bonk, wouldn't need to worry about being horny anymore unless they had received Albert's License to be Horny, albeit even Albert hadn't acquired that yet.

So, their group wouldn't be intoxicated and couldn't be captured, making them a perfect group to hunt these tree spirits and dryads.

Obviously, carrying ten people immediately grabbed the attention of every single person in the area.

After all, no one had ever brought so many of them out.

The people from the Adventurer Guild rushed to them, and one of them was the receptionist that registered them.

"They are…" The receptionist sucked a cold breath. The incident a few hours prior was still planted in his mind, so he recognized them.

"We've done our job. After resting for ten minutes, we're going back there." Albert nodded while glancing at the forest.

Meanwhile, Yale asked, "Where should we put them down?"

"Ah! Please come this way!" Another staff member extended her hand and led them to one of the tents.

There was no bed inside the tent. They only had a thin layer of cloth to separate the people from the ground. Still, they could find two druids who were lying down on those clothes.

"Please put them down here."

"Alright." Albert and the others carefully put them down in succession.

"Thank you very much." The staff politely thanked them because this was the first time a group could bring this many people. "Do you want to drink some water or eat some jerky?"

"No, we're good." Albert waved his hand. "We'll only be resting for a moment before going in again."

"I understand. I wish you luck."

Albert nodded and took an empty spot on the grass, talking about their next plan to make sure they had enough time to deal with the mother tree.

Meanwhile, the staff who registered them thought it would be better to remind the adventurers that mocked Albert before to apologize.
