Chapter 137: Dome
As soon as they finished their rest, Albert brought his group to hunt for more Dryads. The guild and the adventurers were taken by surprise.
Albert and his group continuously brought people without a problem to the point they doubted Albert's rank.
Some even tried to sneak around them to see what was happening, but they were ambushed by Shella and thrown away so as to prevent the secret from going out.
Those who had seen his power were trustworthy since they were directly related to Lilith. So, he never paid attention to them.
But it was different for these people. They wouldn't hesitate to tell the others about this power. Sooner or later, the news about their power would spread.
Although he wanted to form a legion, his situation would become extremely dangerous when all the people knew about his power.
He would be surrounded from all directions without the power to protect himself. The only thing he could do at that moment would be seeking refuge from Lilith. But that meant he would become Lilith's subordinate.
He had promised himself to be free, so this wasn't something he wished for.
Hence, Albert pushed away all those that were spying on him while making his way to the center of the forest, where the mother tree resided.
Before arriving at the main area, his group brought back a total of 120 people from the forest. This was a shocking phenomenon since the combined efforts from the adventurers could only get 30 people alive and 5 people dead, including another few adventurers that died in order to resist the tree spirits.
Unfortunately, Albert had no intention of getting along with them since he didn't have any good opinions about them after the previous conflict.
Instead of talking to them, they chose to dive into the forest and bring back more people.
After a long 12 hours of work, Albert finally cleared most of the monsters in the surroundings and found their nest.
What he met inside the forest's main area was truly beyond his imagination.
There were around thirty dryads making a huge circle to protect a single tree. Instead of one, this mother tree made a total of four dryads.
The branches from the thirty dryads formed a dome that blocked any form of attack from coming through. At the same time, the dryads were looking in their own direction to spot any assassins or rangers, not allowing them to sneak inside.
Still, Albert's focus remained on the four dryads attached to the mother tree. With four dryads attached in all directions, the mother tree couldn't be ambushed.
With the addition of the dome, he believed it would be extremely hard to rescue all of them.
Next to him, Shella said in a low voice. "I believe it's hard to penetrate their defense. Although it's true that destroying the dome is easy with our Bonk Bats, we still can't defeat a dryad within one minute.
"At that time, the other dryads will be coming at us. There's also a chance that the mother tree is controlling all these dryads." Shella explained her observation.
Albert fell silent and nodded his head. He first took a look at his current status.

After that, he took a look at the dryad, including the mother tree.

Albert was impressed by the power of the dryads. Still, the most amazing one was the mother tree.
"Well, I have no doubt that we can defeat the mother tree, but the problem will be how to divert their attention." Albert frowned.
"Yes. We also don't have much time."
"Well, saving them is the secondary goal. The primary objective is to survive. Losing your life when saving them is not worth it… Or at least, in my eyes. You all are more important than them." Albert shrugged.
"Thank you, Milord." Shella bowed to him before reminding the problem. "Still, what should we do?"
Albert fell silent for a moment and looked at the Horny Jail.
"Hmm… I think I have an idea."
"What is that?"
"Horny Jail. We trap the trees there and defeat the mother tree. 72 hours later, they'll be back, but without anyone here. I believe it's possible to prevent anyone from entering this forest for 72 hours.
"This way, we will have no problem in eliminating 20 of them in one instant. As for the remaining ten dryads, you will lead Yale and the others to eliminate them. I'll handle the mother tree myself."
Shella opened her mouth but decided to close it again. She was a bit doubtful that Albert had the ability to fight the mother tree, but Albert wasn't a rash person.
He must have calculated their difference first before releasing that statement. Instead of that, she should focus on her objective so that everyone can help him.
"Still, shouldn't we trap the mother tree inside the Horny Jail too? I've heard from Yale that you used this method to deal with a slime king."
"I can do that, but I'm still considering my choice. On the one hand, the moment we send these trees to Horny Jails, we can rescue those people since only the tree will be transported. On the other hand, the time is too much. I can't release the prisoner unless they have served their sentence." Albert sighed.
"I see. In that case, we should allow other adventurers to go around for another two days and ask the fox to vacate this place by making up an excuse like a sudden outbreak. This way, no one will suspect us." Shella explained.
"Oh. That's a good idea." Albert nodded. "Alright. Let's do that. Killing the mother tree is the priority, so we won't send it to the Horny Jail. There's a chance that the tree spirits will die too…"
"Understood. When will we attack?"
"Twelve hours from now.. Let's go back."
