Reincarnation of the strongest sword god-reincarnating once more

Chapter 106: Getting Scammed By The System! (2)

Radio silence after that, with no following messages. Feng could only give up seeing the Main God's System unwilling to compromise as not only could he do nothing about it, but, in truth, he also understood its reasoning.

If even a tenth of those Ghouls had dropped Bronze Mastery Books, any player would be able to ascend directly to the Advanced God Mastery standard of their chosen weapon type Mastery just by using them, let alone Feng with his high Luck, who'd easily gain enough Mastery Points to become an Advanced Sword God in One-handed Sword Mastery.

He could even choose to split them across multiple players and create powerhouses using just the Bronze Mastery Books.

With just two hundred of them, though, the amount of Mastery Points Feng could receive was very limited considering that the higher a player's Mastery standard over one type of weapon, the fewer points they received from lower ranking Mastery Books.

Feng, being a Basic Sword Saint in One-handed Sword Mastery at the moment, would only receive the minimal amount of five Mastery Points, if he could gain anything from them at all. Even his high Luck would not provide much help in this case since it's a direct restriction by the Main God's System to make the Mastery ascension harder.

Without such a limitation, any powerful organization could just gather a few hundred Mastery Books and allow one of their players, or multiple of them, to directly upgrade their Mastery to the God standard.

Hence, Feng's original plan completely fell through, and he could do nothing about it except settle for what he got. Storing the Bronze Mastery Books, Feng left them for another time, while he didn't bother much with the rest of the inconsequential items dropped by the Special Elites.

All that was left to do now was wait for the Ghost Tree to finish draining the Thunder Beast Guards' HP, which Feng still chose to do despite having long gained the qualifications to enter the Palace unhindered.

That didn't seem like it would be soon either, since even after around two hours of constant draining, by Feng's visual estimates since he could still not see the Level 200 Grand Lords' actual HP, their HP bar hadn't even decreased by 5%.

It took nearly an entire day before the Thunder Beast Guards' HP dropped to 1% and seemed close to dying.

During this time, the Grand Lords had become increasingly reactive as they sensed their approaching death, but continued to follow their commands and guard the gate after not being able to discover the cause of this situation.

Paying close attention to them, Feng had the Ghost Tree temporarily stop draining the mechanical guards' HP and restrict its presence whenever they became too bothered, simply leaving its roots where they are and using Possessing Roots to not allow any of them to recover their HP through natural regeneration.

Aside from keeping track of the Thunder Beast Guards' behavior, Feng also made sure the Ghost Tree could maintain its skill usage. Using Possessing Roots over a long period of time was already extremely taxing, not to mention when the multiple simultaneous targets were Level 200 creatures.

Such a thing consumed a huge amount of the Ghost Tree's Mana and Concentration, and even with it being a Level 109 Archaic Species Superior Mythic monster, the Ghost Tree could only keep it up for a few hours. That's where Feng stepped in, assisting the Ghost Tree by providing it with recovery items such as the Life Essences and Life Crystals.

Originally, Feng wasn't sure if the Ghost Tree would be capable of consuming the stuff created by the Blood Refining Crystal, and had considered the possibility of having to give up on killing the Thunder Beast Guards.

Surprisingly enough, though, there weren't any issues with the Ghost Tree consuming any of the Life Essences Feng offered to it, its ghostly form allowing the tree to simply absorb whatever Feng pressed against its trunk.

The boost to its Concentration recovery made it possible for the Ghost Tree to continue draining the Grand Lords' HP, while its lost Mana was replenished through Mana Recovery Potions Feng had brought along with him.

Between these two simple tasks, Feng didn't have much to do after having wiped out all the Ghouls from the ruins of the Imperial Capital, while he couldn't distance himself far from the Ghost Tree either, otherwise it would be forcibly recalled into the Wraithwood Sigil.

Being bored and having nothing better to do, Feng decided it was the perfect time to mess around with Celestina.

He'd normally be too busy to make time for the seduction of the Demon Empress and could only use whatever opportunities arose to implement his plans. The more he bullied her within certain limits, the easier it would be to mellow out the Demon Goddess and put ideas in her head thanks to the Seducer Subclass.

Thus, now that he had to wait around for the Ghost Tree to finish, Feng could put more effort into bothering Celestina. The Demon Empress was naturally annoyed by his very presence, becoming increasingly pissed as Feng talked with her during this time.

She couldn't do anything against him nor disobey his orders, while her master sexually harassing and annoying her was just barely preferable to being stuck inside the Spectral Animacell the entire time, feeling incredibly bored the entire time with nothing to do.

Staying in this Mana-rich place, she could at least relax a bit and recuperate from the dull environment of the current God's Domain.

Feng naturally ruined that momentary peace for her, but it was still better than simply spending the time in the darkness of the Spectral Animacell's soul storage.

Setting aside his normal bothersome nature, Celestina didn't mind getting a breath of fresh air in this manner even with Feng being there after a while since he wasn't doing anything wild or over the top this time around.

In fact, instead of using his normal methods, Feng was pretty much chilling the entire time with Celestina while waiting together for the Thunder Beast Guards to die. Aside from talking about various topics to get the Demon Empress in on the conversation and speaking with him, Feng had even brought out several games to play.

From playing cards, to chess, Feng used a variety of games and tactics that he had prepared beforehand to make their time together a bit entertaining, all the while getting close to the stone-hearted Primordial Demon Goddess.

It worked to some effect as Celestina seemed to detest him a bit less after a day of this, growing less wary of his intentions even if by just a minuscule amount, actually finding herself not bored while not doing anything particularly special for once in a very, very long time.

After spending several eons and eras trapped inside the Pandemonium Lashblade completely conscious following her death, Celestina had grown used to being completely and utterly alone. But even with the temperament of a being like herself, such an extensive period of time of loneliness in complete emptiness would begin to wear down on her mind, causing the Demon Empress to be slightly starved of physical and verbal contact; even if she herself wasn't completely aware of it.

Feng was the first and only person to truly converse with her, having spent the rest of her time after being freed mostly on gathering information and souls for recovering her strength, with even the things done alongside Zero Wing's restored members only being a part of her job or business with them.

Hence, she had started to genuinely feel a small sense of joy and fulfillment from finally doing something peaceful, even if it was with a bastard like Feng, and even if it was something simple like playing cards; now no longer hating her hateful master as much.

Little did Celestina know how much Feng's actions were prying into her mind and behavior.

It was only natural that Feng was aware of the Demon Goddess's mental state and that he was taking advantage of it to use her current undiscovered sense of loss towards manipulating Celestina into becoming attached to him, getting closer to the demon girl and her heart over time using such a method, while also implementing various ideas and habits into her mind.

The results spoke for themselves as their relationship had decently improved over such a quick and insignificant thing, proving its effects in manipulating and seducing Celestina to be great as her Sexual Attraction towards him had increased by an entire 5%, jumping to 17%.

Of course, such a high amount was only due to this being the first time Feng had tried such a simplistic and non-sexually stimulating application of the relationship-building plan, something like playing simple games unlikely to increase her Sexual Attraction by more than 1% or at all in the future, but it was a good start and Feng was laying the foundation for future plans.

Furthermore, there was a much greater and more devious purpose to Feng getting Celestina accustomed to playing games and doing that type of stuff with him, which will come into play later on.

After spending nearly an entire day like that with his demon maid, the first Thunder Beast Guardian finally fell.

Seeing their comrade fall to the ground, the other seven LEvel 200 Grand Lords were about to rush over and investigate what was happening, but in the next moment, they all began collapsing as well one after the other.

Meanwhile, endless EXP poured into Feng following the mechanical guards' deaths. Since the Ghost Tree was the one killing them and it counted as Feng's summon from an equipment skill, it was still considered as them dying by Feng's hands, hence he received the EXP reward for killing the Thunder Beast Guards.

As Level 200 Grand Lords, the amount of EXP provided by the Thunder Beast Guards was unimaginably stupefying compared to what creatures below Level 100 gave, being meant to allow players at close levels to reach Level 200.

Since Feng was only Level 99, even with the bullshit system decrease due to him using the Ghost Tree to kill them, utilizing such an underhanded and practically cheating method, as well as not directly killing the Thunder Beast Guards himself, the amount of EXP he received from the Level 200 Grand Lords was astronomical for him, and it was given an increase due to the level gap.

Unfortunately, the bonus EXP one could obtain through killing monsters of a higher level was not without limit, capping at 20 Levels. Hence, players' EXP would, at most, increase by 20 times.

Still, twenty times of what a Level 200 Grand Lord would normally give to him was heaven-defying at Feng's level.

He immediately leveled up Wordly Purification to Tier 4 Upper rank, and then to Tier 4 Peak rank, pouring enough EXP into the skill to upgrade it to Tier 5 from just the first Thunder Beast Guard.

Wordly Purification could not be promoted into a Tier 5 skill, though, as Feng had yet to fulfill its condition of mastering it at Tier 4.

However, doing something like that was currently impossible for Feng. It still had the same condition of needing him to execute Wordly Purification with a 100% Completion Rate, and while Feng had easily done that before, at Tier 4 the requirements to use a skill with such a high Completion Rate were too much for a mere Tier 1 player.

Actually, it was considered a miracle Feng could even accomplish such a thing with the Tier 3 Wordly Purification considering his current tier.

But he hadn't managed to do it using the Tier 4 Wordly Purification even after practicing with it for a bit, only executing it at around an 85% Completion Rate.

With Wordly Purification no longer having room to improve anymore at the moment, Feng switched to putting the rest of the EXP he was receiving into his Levellum Capsules. Having known in advance that he'd be facing this situation, Feng had contacted Melancholic, telling her to have all the Levellume Capsules previously created by Cocoa that still remained and all the ones created by another Forger who had learned the Levelume Capsules Design after Cocoa used Creator's Rights to make a copy delivered to him.

Despite the additional storages for EXP that he obtained, them numbering two to three hundred of various ranks, they were all filled up to their limits in mere moments.

Although this was incredibly good news in the sense that Feng had a lot of extra EXP that he could use at any time, he was now left without any more place to store it, and could only pour it all into the Seven Luminaries Ring's Auras.

Previously upgrading it to Fragmented Legendary Ring with a Sacred Stone, all of the Seven Luminaries Ring's Auras had been reset to Level 0, while Feng had later leveled up the Aura of Earth to Tier 3, leaving the rest in their default state.

Their levels now had the chance to skyrocket, each of the Auras increasing in tiers with every passing second. By the time Feng finally had no more EXP to upgrade the seven Auras with, the Aura of Earth, Aura of Fire, Aura of Wind, Aura of Time, and Aura of Space had all reached Tier 5, while the Aura of Water and Aura of Illusion were at Tier 4.

This was undoubtedly the largest increase Feng had ever done in his career, and his combat power had improved exponentially with these upgrades, leaving Feng feeling a bit lightheaded after being the transfer point of so much EXP.

With no more life force to absorb with Possessing Roots, the Ghost Tree returned to the Wraithwood Sigil immediately after the Thunder Beast Guards died.

Having dealt with the abounded EXP he had gained, Feng recalled Celestina into the Spectral Animacell and entered the 200-yard forbidden zone around the Imperial Palace.

Even if there were any guards remaining within the restricted area, they would still do nothing to Feng since his noble rank in the Thunder Beast Empire was high enough to grant him entry into the Palace, so he walked in without any worries and began collecting the items dropped by the Thunder Beast Guards.

There were only a couple of drops, and they weren't that impressive since they were still only Grand Lords, but the levels of the items dropped by the Thunder Beast Guards were exceptionally high, mostly being Level 190-200 Dark-Gold pieces of equipment and a couple of Level 60-200 Epic items.

Good haul considering Feng's current Level and how little effort he had to put in to get them.

After collecting all the drops, Feng went through the gates and entered the Palace, immediately being greeted by the sight of numerous mechanical guards patrolling the spacious hall.

[Thunder Beast Patrol] (Great Lord)

Level 200

HP ? ? ? ? ? ?/ ? ? ? ? ? ?

Although these Thunder Beast Patrols were not as strong as the Thunder Beast Guards, there were far more of them. Each squad had 20 Thunder Beast Patrols. Against such a force, even a Level 200 Tier 4 player would have to tuck tail and run.

If someone really tried to barge their way in, this would end up being their grave.

These Thunder Beast Patrols merely glanced at Feng before continuing with their duties.

Feng moved through the Palace unhindered.

Due to the Thunder Beast Patrols, not a single monster was present in the Palace. Feng easily reached the Palace's heart—the Thunder Beast Courtyard.

The map indicated that the Thunder Beast Courtyard was where Thunder Emperor Kaiser lived. Hence, along with his past-life knowledge, Feng had made his way there.

The density of Mana here is almost triple that of the outside world. Before Feng even entered the Thunder Beast Courtyard, he could feel his mind clearing. This was a phenomenon that would only occur when the Mana reached a certain density.

A curse that could plague the Imperial Capital would require an immense amount of Mana to sustain.

Hence, places with high Mana density had a higher likelihood of holding the curse's source.

Feng entered the Thunder Beast Courtyard. At this point, the once splendid courtyard had become a dilapidated ruin. Meanwhile, a fivefold Magic Array enveloped something in the courtyard's center.

Feng could faintly see a bottomless pit in the center of the courtyard.

This pit released a continuous stream of Mana. However, unlike the Mana one usually saw, this felt violent and cold. Just looking at it could send chills down one's back.

If not for the fivefold Magic Array before Feng suppressing the Mana, this violent Mana would undoubtedly surge and flood the Imperial Capital in the blink of an eye.

In reality, this was a path to the Endless Abyss.

The Endless Abyss had a vile environment, yet its Mana density was astounding. With the combination of these two aspects, it birthed many horrifying monsters. There were some monsters that even Gods feared. Hence, the Gods had sealed the Endless Abyss.

These frightening monsters wanted to claim God's Domain as their own. Hence, the war between the human race and the Endless Abyss had never ceased.

Rumors had it that Emperor Kaiser had reached the pinnacle of Tier 5 and was only a thread away from becoming a Tier 6 God.

Although there was only a difference of one Tier between Tier 5 and Tier 6, the power gap was like the difference between heaven and earth. One side was doomed to be devoured by the river of time, while the other was free of any bindings.

To an Emperor like Kaiser, nothing was more tempting than eternal life.

Hence, there was nothing surprising about Emperor Kaiser trying to open a path to the Endless Abyss in search of a breakthrough.

As Feng approached the bottomless abyss and was about to take a closer look at it, a chilling aura bound him, preventing him from moving.

"Who are you? Why have you come here?"

A cold voice dripping with power echoed from the bottomless pit. The voice was void of any emotion.

"I am an adventurer. A Great Mage called Carrian Walker sent me here to lift the curse on the imperial capital, saving the suffering people within the city," Feng said slowly and truthfully, showing no resistance towards the person questioning him. Even with his strength, resisting a being like this was currently impossible for Feng.

"Carrian Walker?" the voice said with a hint of surprise. "I never imagined that little fellow would escape the capital with his life. He really is impressive.

"If I had not been swayed by my own feelings and my wish to improve myself, such a terrible disaster would never have occurred."

"Could you be the Thunder Emperor Kaiser?" Feng unceremoniously questioned the person behind the origin of the voice.

"Thunder Emperor Kaiser... I wonder how many years it has been since I last heard that name? That's right; I am Kaiser." However, Kaiser sighed and said, "It is unfortunate, but you have wasted your time by coming here. It is impossible to lift the curse on the city. You are simply too weak right now, and you cannot help me seal this abyss."

"May I know how to seal it?" Feng probed, wanting Kaiser to say the words needed for him to carry on with the Quest.

"To seal this abyss, someone needs to suppress the Mana temporarily. That way, I can form a new Magic Array to close off the Endless Abyss."

"May I know how powerful I need to be to suppress this Mana temporarily?"

"You must be a Demigod!" Kaiser said straightforwardly.

In God's Domain, Tier 5 classes were considered Saints, whereas Tier 6 classes were considered Gods.

Meanwhile, Demigods existed between the ranks of Tier 5 and Tier 6 creatures.

The difficulty of crossing the threshold of Tier 5 and becoming a Tier 6 God is much greater than someone unaware could imagine

A Demigod is someone who has reached the Tier 6 standard in life order[5] but does not possess Tier 6 Concentration[5], failing to construct a Divine Mana Body and ascend to godhood, being limited as a Demigod.

In order for Feng to assist Kaiser in this Quest, not only must he be a Tier 5 class, but his life order must also be at Tier 6.

There was naturally no such player in God's Domain right now. As for the NPCs, one could probably count them on one hand. Feng could not simply meet with one because he wanted to, not to mention getting their help.

When considering NPCs that might be Demigods, Feng could think of a few candidates in his God's Domain.

One of which was Faust, whom he had met in Star River Valley. Faust had once managed to seal a Tier 5 Great Demon King. He had also survived an exchange with a God. He was a mythical character who had lived for over 300 years.

Another candidate would be the City Lord of Blackwing City. Even Kingdoms and Empires feared the City Lord. He was not an ordinary Tier 5 NPC.

There was also Hell's Gatekeeper, Christie. That NPC guarded the most dangerous God Mode Regional Dungeon throughout God's Domain. The Final Boss of the God Mode Regional Dungeon was a Tier 6 God. One could just imagine how powerful Christie was. The NPC was not a simple Tier 5 class either.

However, none of these NPCs were easy to contact.

Aside from these human NPCs, Feng had also encountered several monsters with the strength of a Demigod.

The Fallen Angel Serena being one of them.

Fallen Angels' life order was very high. They were only inferior to Gods. At Tier 5, they should be as powerful as a Demigod.

There was also potentially Lancelot, but he was still at Tier 4 right now.

For another person, it would be basically impossible to complete this Quest, but Feng had done it in his previous life while being a mere Tier 1 player, and could naturally do it now as well since he possessed the original version of the Bible of Darkness. Even though it was only a fragment, it could still summon a Tier 5 Great Demon King. A Great Demon King was much stronger than a Tier 5 human. The only problem was that Feng wasn't strong enough to summon a Great Demon King. Kaiser, on the other hand, could.

The Bible of Darkness was a treasure created by the Lord of Destruction. It possessed the power to rule over all Demons, allowing one to become the Lord of Demons.

Since ancient times, Abyssal Demons were one of the top races in the Endless Abyss and were one of the human races' greatest enemies.

Even Tier 6 Demons wandered in the Endless Abyss, not to mention Tier 5 Demons.

Through the power of spacetime, the Bible of Darkness could summon a Demon from the Endless Abyss.

However, the Bible of Darkness had already been destroyed, so it could not exert its true power. Summoning a Tier 5 Great Demon King was its limit.

"Your Imperial Majesty, may I know if this will be of some help?" Feng took out the thick, heavy Bible of Darkness. The dense Power of Darkness that radiated off the Bible was more than enough to instill fear.

NPCs that were not quest-related could not steal items from players at this stage of the game. Hence, Feng was not worried about Kaiser snatching the Bible of Darkness. Although NPCs could not steal a player's items, they could use them.

"The Bible of Darkness?!" Kaiser recognized the thick book immediately, shock appearing on his face. "I had never expected a little guy like you to have such a treasure. It's unfortunate that the Bible has been destroyed and cannot exert its true power. Otherwise, with this book's original strength, it could seal the passage to the Endless Abyss easily."

The passage to the Endless Abyss could not be opened and closed as one wished. Otherwise, the War God Temple would not have tried so hard to search for the Seven Treasures to suppress the passage between the two worlds.

However, the Bible of Darkness actually possessed the power to open and close the passage.

In other words, the completed form of the Bible of Darkness was as powerful as the Seven Treasures. This was the power of the book which had created the demon race.

"Although the Bible of Darkness has been damaged, it could be of some help," Kaiser said. In the next moment, the Bible of Darkness flew out of Feng's hand and fell into the bottomless pit. "Little guy, back away."

At Kaiser's warning, Feng did not dare remain where he stood. Immediately, he turned and ran out of the Thunder Beast Courtyard.

The pressure exuded by a Demigod-level existence was no laughing matter. Previously, Kaiser had used his aura to bind and render Feng immobile. If a Demigod like Kaiser flicked his finger, Feng would likely turn to dust.

After Feng fled the Thunder Beast Courtyard, the Mana density begin to rise rapidly. In the next moment, a massive pair of gates made of bone appeared above the courtyard. Compared to the Demon Gates that appeared when Feng summoned the Tier 2 Evil Spirit, this Demon Gate was colossal. The Demon Gate loomed like a mountain, and the pressure it radiated warped the courtyard's atmosphere.

One could only fully realize the power represented by the Bible of Darkness once one witnessed it being used by someone powerful enough. It was no wonder why so many NPCs in God's Domain were so keen to obtain it. The power someone like Feng could currently exert with the Bible was just the tip of the iceberg.

If the wielder could summon an army of Demons during battle, who could stand against them?

It was uncertain whether a Tier 5 player could even defeat a Tier 5 Great Demon King, not to mention a group of them. Moreover, said player would also have to face the summoner, who was also a Tier 5 class.

This alone allowed the Bible's wielder to defeat Tier 5 classes.

If the Bible were complete, even at Tier 5, one could challenge Tier 6 God-ranked players and Tier 6 Gods.

As the gates slowly opened, a one-horned Demon that was over 30 meters tall emerged. The Demon's body was pitch-black, and it wielded a sword covered in emerald fire. Feng felt his breathing slow slightly as the Demon's dark eyes swept over him.

Feng tried to appraise this one-horned Demon's statistics. However, all he found was "Unknown." Since the Demon's information was hidden from normal observation, he would have to move closer to use the Eyes of Truth.

"Despicable human! You have the gall to summon me, the Great Demon King Andros?! Prepare to die!" Andros bellowed, glaring at the bottomless pit. The fire devouring his massive sword suddenly blossomed into a raging inferno. One swing was all it would take to destroy the Thunder Beast Courtyard.

Just as the emerald fire was about to descend, countless blue chains suddenly shot out of the bottomless pit, binding Andros and his emerald fire.

"Andros, don't try to resist. I have the Bible of Darkness. Even if you are as strong as I am, under the power of the Bible, you cannot strike against me," the Thunder Emperor threatened the Demon in a low growl. Andros moaned painfully. "You Demons are born with a higher life order than humans. However, there are also constraints on your power. If you submit now, I can allow you to retain your will. Otherwise, I will turn you into a puppet."

"I... submit." In the end, the Great Demon King Andros agreed reluctantly.

Demons originated from the Bible of Darkness. They were born without the ability to resist the Bible. Although the Bible had been damaged, it contained enough power to compel a Great Demon King. Currently, only Tier 6 Demon Gods had the power to resist the Bible's restrictions.

"Suppress the Mana from the Abyss for me," Kaiser ordered, not wasting any time with nonsense.

Having no other choice, Andros controlled his endless emerald fire to seal the bottomless pit. Suddenly, the Mana from the Abyss was contained.

The Thunder Emperor Kaiser then flew out of the pit.

Feng could finally see the true Thunder Emperor Kaiser. The Emperor wore a suit of golden armor with a set of white robes. Electric arcs were faintly visible as they surrounded Kaiser. Two Sacred Swords hung from the Emperor's waist, one red and one blue. His smooth golden hair and young face left one speechless. Female players would consider this man to be a god of male beauty.

[Kaiser (Thunder Emperor)] (Human, Sword Saint)

HP ? ? ? ? ? ?/ ? ? ? ? ? ?

After Kaiser emerged from the pit, he unsheathed his two Sacred Swords. As the blades left their scabbards, the surrounding space froze. It was as if the connections between the space around the swords and the outside world had been severed.

Kaiser then used the twin swords to draw divine runes in the air before him.

Divine runes of the highest quality formed, line after line.

A short moment later, the Emperor had drawn over a hundred lines of runes.

"Seal! God Banishing Domain!"

With a shout, Kaiser brandished his two swords. A golden, sixfold Magic Array appeared above the Palace. This Magic Array wrapped around the Palace, sucking in the Mana of the Abyss like a hungry beast.

The God Banishing Domain very quickly spread beyond the Palace.

As the mist began to gather above the Thunder Beast Courtyard, the fog in the Imperial Capital gradually cleared.

After a dozen or so minutes, the mist covering the Thunder Beast Imperial Capital had disappeared.

As the fog faded, the power of the curse that plagued the imperial capital began to weaken. The Suffering Souls wandering about the streets had started to die. Meanwhile, the humans, who had been petrified for hundreds of years now, recovered from their stone-like state.

System: Epic Quest "Empire's Past" completed.

Quest reward: 50,000,000 EXP.

To ordinary players, 50,000,000 EXP might be a lot, but to Feng, it didn't even qualify as a drop in the ocean.

After Kaiser finished sealing the passage to the Endless Abyss, he sent the Great Demon King Andros back as well. Meanwhile, Kaiser stood quietly alone beside the bottomless pit.

"Adventurer, here is your Bible of Darkness." In the blink of an eye, Kaiser appeared before Feng and passed the Bible of Darkness back to him carefully. "Thank you for helping me. Without your help, the curse would still have its grip on the capital's citizens. I don't have much to give you as thanks, so here; I will give you this sword that I had used during my younger days."

Saying so, Kaiser took out an immaculate long sword and handed it to Feng.

The longsword the Thunder Emperor offered him looked extraordinary. The hilt was snow-white, while the blade was an emerald green. Divine, golden runes were etched on the emerald blade. Overall, the sword looked as if it were made of clear gemstone. One could also see blue arcs of electricity appear around the sword.

"I happened to come across this Sacred Sword while exploring an ancient ruin. The sword's name is Killing Ray. I ask that you cherish it," Kaiser said. The Thunder Emperor could not help but reminisce about his youth when he looked at the emerald longsword.

His Thunder Emperor title was largely due to this Sacred Sword, Killing Ray.

Killing Ray was one of the thirty-six Famed Swords in God's Domain, and it was one of the fragments of Solomon's Sword that he was searching for.

Feng then called up the Attribute Panel of the emerald sword.

This Sacred Sword had been forged by the Godsmith Arnold using a fragment from a mysterious sword. Killing Ray is one of the thirty-six Famed Swords of God's Domain, ranking 20th. It was once used by the Thunder Emperor Kaiser. This weapon allows the user to move with the speed of lightning. When fighting darkness-type creatures, damage increases by 100%. Can be evolved. Cannot be destroyed.

As an Epic Weapon, Killing Ray was very impressive and definitely ranked among the best.

However, the Sacred Sword's Attributes were not its most amazing aspect, nor was it the fact that it could not be destroyed and thus, did not possess a Durability limit or require repairs, nor the 100% damage increase towards darkness-type creatures.

To players who loved to PvP, its speed was the Killing Ray's most impressive feature.

The Passive Skill Lightning allowed one's initial Attack Speed to start at 50% rather than zero. This meant that while attacking, players would not take as long to accelerate to a maximum speed. A player's sword draw would be much faster than normal.

Unfortunately, Killing Ray was currently useless to Feng, the weapons he was wielding at the moment being much more powerful.

After completing the Epic Quest and obtaining the Sacred Sword, Killing Ray, Feng returned through the transfer passage to the Dragon's Maw's lowest underground floor.

After leaving the special map, Feng used the Activatable Skill of the Aura of Space, Space Movement, to appear before Carrian Walker.

Upon returning to Carrian Walker and the other NPCs, Feng noticed that these NPCs had grown significantly older.

Although the petrification had allowed them to live for hundreds of years, once the curse lifted, time had begun to erode their bodies, causing them to age rapidly.

At the end of the day, they were mortals, not Gods. They could never break free from the shackles of time.

If Feng had not hurried back so quickly, Carrian Walker and the others would have passed away.

"Young adventurer, thank you. I can already feel the curse in my body vanishing. With this, we can leave this world without regret." Carrian Walker looked at Feng and bowed deeply. He then took out a golden book and passed it on to Feng, saying, "This is our Thunder Beast Empire's prided Magic Array, the Nine-star Polar Domain. Hopefully, it will be of help to you someday."

Feng accepted the immensely heavy Magic Array Illustration.

Magic Array Illustrations were extremely rare in God's Domain.

The various Kingdoms and Empires were extremely secretive about Magic Arrays, each conducting their own research in the field. Naturally, any results were kept secret.

Normally, when ordinary people used Magic Arrays, they relied on Magic Scrolls. The same was true for players.

Meanwhile, these Magic Scrolls were created from Magic Array Illustrations.

There were various types of Magic Arrays such as enhancement, suppression, and binding.

Regardless of the type of Magic Array, they were all exceedingly rare.

Normally, players could only obtain Magic Array Scrolls through quests or Treasure Chests. Although the Stoneclaw Mountains had introduced players to the Barrier Crystal Balls, they were not very convenient. They took a long time to activate. Moreover, the Barrier Crystal Balls were not nearly as strong as the Magic Scrolls. Their capabilities were also limited. They were unlike Magic Scrolls, which could be activated swiftly with little to no restriction.

Hence, Magic Array Illustrations were rare and precious.

If players wanted to research their own Magic Arrays, they would require a massive amount of time, energy, and resources. It was already exceedingly difficult for an ordinary large Guild to obtain a Magic Array Illustration, not to mention researching one from scratch.

With the Magic Array Illustration, Zero Wing could produce Magic Array Scrolls without limit at the cost of a few materials.

Feng clicked on the Magic Array illustration in his hand, wanting to make sure everything was the same as he remembered it.

[Nine-star Polar Domain] (Intermediate Magic Array)

Suppress all enemies within an area of 100*100 yards.

Requires nine people to cast. Only usable by magical classes.

Required materials: 3 Magic Crystals, 1 Intermediate Scroll, 9 Starlight Stones, and 1 bottle of Elemental Water.

Magic Arrays were also organized into several ranks: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Master, Grandmaster, Craftsman.

Currently, the majority of the Magic Arrays players encountered were Basic Magic Arrays. However, even Basic Magic Arrays could be immensely helpful in various ways, such as suppressing monsters that were of Grand Lord rank or below.

Magic arrays above Basic rank were extremely rare.

This was because Intermediate Magic Arrays were capable of suppressing monsters of Mythic rank and below.

The Final Bosses of the current 100-man Hell Mode Team Dungeons were merely Grand Lords. With an Intermediate Magic Array, players could easily suppress such a Boss, reducing the Dungeon's difficulty tremendously.

However, the best part was that the Intermediate Magic Array Carrian Walker had given him was a top-tier Suppression-type Magic Array.

Such a wide-area Magic Array requires only nine magic classes to cast. Moreover, there aren't any specific classes required. It's no wonder why Carrian Walker said that it is the Thunder Beast Empire's prided Magic Array.

It was much more valuable than an Epic item.

It was common knowledge that a limited number of players could enter a Dungeon at a single time. If a team used a Magic Array to suppress a Boss, the players maintaining the array would not be able to attack or defend.

The more people a Magic Array required, the greater the effect it would have on the team's combat power.

Hence, the fewer people required, the better.

Generally, Magic Arrays that could suppress Bosses required more than ten people to maintain. For example, the Demon Suppressing Barrier Blue Frost and the others had used against the Great Lord Noya required twelve people. Even so, it was considered a very powerful Magic Array. Yet, the Nine-star Polar Domain only required nine people.

Moreover, the Nine-star Polar Domain's class requirement was not too specific, requiring only nine magical classes to cast. On the other hand, the Demon Suppressing Array specifically required twelve Elementalists.

The difference between these two requirements might seem small, but for those who had researched Magic Arrays before, they would know that the more advanced a Magic Array was, the more people it would require to maintain and the more specific it would be with its class requirement. It was extremely difficult to reduce the requirement by even one person, not to mention reducing the restriction on classes. That was twice as difficult.

Only after the Thunder Beast Empire had gathered all of its talents had it managed to construct such a streamlined and practical Intermediate Magic Array. It would most likely be impossible for any other Empire to produce such a Magic Array.

Although the Nine-star Polar Domain was an Intermediate Magic Array, the materials required to produce it were not especially rare, and Zero Wing could easily support their creation.

After Feng stored the Nine-star Polar Domain Magic Array Illustration, he bid Carrian Walker and the others farewell and used a Return Scroll to teleport back to White River City.

1. LOC never gave the name for what a Tier 4 Shield Warrior is, so I just made one up.

2. Not sure if this is really the Tier 4 for Guardian Knights, since it was said in chapter 510 that a Sky Knight was a Tier 4 Hidden Class, but in chapter 2815 a seemingly regular NPC, who was apparently a Guardian Knight, was also called a Sky Knight, so idk.

3. Similar case to the Sky Knight.

4. Not sure if this is Life Rating or something else, LOC never quite clarified.

5. This was originally Immortal Brilliance in the OG novel, but considering it doesn't actually exist later down the line, I'm assuming LOC just came up with it at the time and later changed the requirements for needing to reach Tier 6, so I've changed it to Tier 6 Concentration.
