Ron’s Journey Through Remnant

Chapter 3: 3- Welcome to Detro..., Vale

Gaster listened intently to Ron as they walked through the forest under the moonlight.

[Ron]: So, as I was saying, the world of Remnant is divided into kingdoms. The four Kingdoms of Remnant are Vale (center), Vacuo (west), Atlas (north), and Mistral (east). Each of the Kingdoms has its own distinct culture. For example, Atlas is known for its martial nature and technological advancement, while Vacuo is famous for its rough-and-tumble lifestyle. Vale is located on the continent called Sanus, with Vacuo on its opposite end. Mistral is on the continent of Anima, and Atlas is on the continent of Solitas. Vytal is the name of the island to the north of Vale. Other known landmasses include Menagerie.

[Gaster]: Interesting how this world was created and how mankind survived two extinctions. The appearance of the Faunus race is intriguing. Are they another group of humans that evolved differently or something else, Was the god of darkness that angry to destroy the moon, I also want to visit Atlas and see the technical of this world.

[Ron]: You want to go to Atlas so you can start a revolution by helping the Faunus there and destroy The SDC.

[Gaster]: Mostly that, but I also want to find out if I can rebuild my "Determination" extractor with this world's technology.

Ron raised an eyebrow and said

[Ron]: Wasn't the "Determination" extractor one of the main reasons for your death, Also The SDC, the Schnee Dust Company, has a notorious reputation for exploiting Faunus labor and hoarding Dust, the primary source of energy and power in Remnant. Overthrowing them would certainly shake things up, but it won't be easy.

[Gaster]: The "Determination" extractor was indeed a factor in my downfall, but it also held great potential. If we can rebuild it with the advanced technology in Atlas, we might be able to harness its power more safely and effectively.

[Ron]: Keep dreaming. The technology is only available to the nobles, and with how many xenophobes live there, it will be a miracle to even enter one port without being shot for looking suspicious.

[Gaster]: So what do you propose we do? According to my research, the human body needs to eat, rest, and sleep. It also needs to release waste. We're in the middle of a forest with nothing but our clothes and your black staff.

Ron waved his hand in the air, and two bottles appeared in his hands—one filled with water and the other with blood.

[Ron]: I have an inventory with enough food and water to keep you alive for a month. As for me, my food source is infinite in there.

Gaster looked at the bottles with a mix of surprise and curiosity.

[Gaster]: An inventory... That's a handy ability. But we'll still need to find shelter and a way to rest. My human body will need time to adjust and recover, especially after the fighting we've been through.

[Ron]: Well, there's a city not far from here.

[Gaster]: And how do you know that?

[Ron]: Look at the big wall and lights a few meters away.

Ron pointed at the wall in front of them. Gaster squinted and saw the faint outline of a wall with lights flickering above it.

[Gaster]: How did I miss that? Let's head there. Maybe we can find some shelter and supplies.

[Ron]: But let's be cautious. We don't know what kind of reception we'll get.

They approached the city cautiously, sticking to the shadows and staying alert. As they got closer, they could see the large gates and the guards patrolling the perimeter.

[Gaster]: We'll need a good trick to get past those guards. Any ideas?

[Ron]: Leave it to me. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve.

Ron Started to Sing the Hydra Song and passed the guards who seemed to not Sense them, Gaster watched in amazement as they walked past the guards without being noticed.

Once inside the city walls, Ron stopped singing and turned to Gaster with a grin.

[Ron]: There, that should do it. They won't even remember seeing us.

[Gaster]: Impressive. I didn't know you had that kind of power.

[Ron]: I always have tricks up my sleeve. Now, is there something you want to do since I've stolen the guards' money from their wallets?

[Gaster]: Hmm, I want to study Dust and the magic power that is within it. It seems to be a crucial element in this world, and understanding it could be very beneficial.

[Ron]: OK, Look there is a store around the corner that is still open this late

Ron and Gaster made their way to the store, which had a sign that read "From Dust Till Dawn." As they entered, they were greeted by the sight of various Dust crystals and products neatly arranged on shelves. The store was well-lit, and the air was filled with a faint, metallic scent. Gaster's attention was immediately drawn to a collection of magazines and books on Dust.

[Gaster]: These samples are fascinating. The way each type of Dust can be used to enhance abilities or power machinery is impressive. I wonder if there's any research material available. Also, did you know that Dust is highly reactive when refined and can be dangerous if mishandled?

Gaster said this while perusing the books his other hands were carrying, each volume filled with detailed studies and articles on Dust.

Ron watched Gaster, amused by the sight of the man holding six or seven books at once, deeply engrossed in his research. he also made meticulous notes in a notebook that Ron had given him, documenting his findings and insights.

[Ron]: It's impressive how absorbed you are. I didn't expect you to be so dedicated to understanding Dust.

[Gaster]: (without looking up) There's a wealth of knowledge here. Understanding Dust could significantly impact my research on souls. Now, if only I could unlock Aura—the manifestation of the soul—and discover my own "Semblance." It seems that one's Aura can be used to 'unlock' the Aura of someone else, but it appears to take a toll on the user.

Gaster continued to jot down notes, reflecting on the complexity of Aura and its potential applications. The idea of unlocking and understanding both his own and others' Auras intrigued him, but he was aware of the challenges and risks involved.

[Ron]: Okay, you do you. I'll take a look around and see if there's anything else we might need.

Ron wandered through the store, examining various Dust-related products and items that caught his interest. He kept an eye out for anything that could be useful for their current situation.

Meanwhile, Gaster continued to study and take notes, immersed in information about Dust and Aura.

Ron stopped when he saw a girl she was wearing a black dress consisting of a long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining and a red petticoat. She also wears a pair of thick black tights that fade to red near the bottom, and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles. Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips at an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets.

She was engrossed in reading a magazine about weapons while listening to music through her headphones.

As Ron approached the girl with the striking outfit, ready to engage in conversation, a man in a black suit and red tie suddenly aimed his sword at them.

[Thug 1]: (shouting) Hands in the air! You got a death wish or something?

Before Ron or the girl could react, she calmly took off her headphones and glanced at the thug.

[Girl]: (with a nonchalant tone)Yes.

[Henchman 1]: I said put your hands in the air, now!

[Girl]: Are you... robbing me?

[Henchman 1]: Yes.

[Girl]: Oh

With a swift, practiced motion, the girl punched the Henchman, sending him flying across the room. As the other henchman rushed towards her, she effortlessly kicked him out of the window, sending him crashing onto the street below.

The girl then turned her attention to the broken window, where the remaining henchmen had regrouped. she deployed her weapon—a mechanical red scythe—drawing it from its compact form into its full length. She swung the scythe through the air, the blade gleaming menacingly, and shut off her headphones.

Unfortunately for the henchmen, their troubles were far from over. A second henchman was thrown through the wall, crashing into the room and breaking through it, as an angry Gaster appeared behind him. His notebook, now dripping with ink and ruined, only added to his frustration.

[Gaster]: (seething) I was in the middle of documenting something important! Do you realize how hard it is to replace that?

He glared at the henchmen, his irritation evident.

[Gaster]: (raising his voice) Now, could you please tell me why it's always when I'm busy that these kinds of disturbances happen?

[Henchmen Boss]: Okayyy..., Get them

Ron, who had been observing the chaos, stepped forward with a sly grin.

[Ron]: Why not release your anger on those punching bags?

Ron gestured toward the henchmen and their boss, Gaster, seizing the opportunity, summoned several ethereal hands that began to engage the henchmen. His frustration was channeled into each attack, as he used the opportunity to blow off some steam.

Meanwhile, Ron sheathed his staff and summoned a sword, ready to join the fray.
