Chapter 85: The D84! Mind
Rose hadn’t actually fully tried before, but she realized that this fusion would be too great to go half out on.
“Mutation. Ultimatum.”
Her body also began to mutate, but her’s was smaller.
Of course, it was also much more terrifying. Her face seemed to droop, and her eyes and mouth became pitch black.
Amy yelled.
“HOLY ****, SHE’S A CREEPYP*STA CHARACTER.”
Rose charged. Her movements were almost animalistic. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that while her exterior only had the black smile, her interior had fully mutated.
“She is rather terrifying when fighting like that.”
Then I heard the system.
[The individual Heather has become a level 16.]
We all knew that Amy called her Heather, but the system doing it too was odd. Then another sound.
[System error: The individual Heather should not have leveled due to not slaying any opponents. Analyzing issue.]
Those of us with access to the system realized that this form also causes the system to mess up.
Rose only smiled more. Then Amy and Ausar used a combination of Life magic and Nature.
The combination of the two struck Rose directly, but she tanked it and charged again. This time she was faster, and we realized just the amount of strength that comes with a single level.
[The individual Heather has been awarded the title, Monarch. Effects of this title include: Anyone who declares loyalty to the bearer will gain a 30% bonus when fighting with her.]
[The individual Heather has been awarded the skill, Royal’s words. Abilities include: Any power that she rules is now subservient to her. She can now speak the fate of the World she created.]
[Due to the ascendance of the individual Heather, the world has evolved and leveled to 6.]
[This world has gained 5 levels in less than a year, the ruler of this world has gained the title of Ascender. Effects of this title include: 50% increase in strength of all skills. New Skill: Army. A Debuff of 10% to any intruders on the capital world.]
[Error, there is no faction, therefore, no capital world. Using current world as default.]
[The individual Heather has gained the skill, Army. Abilities of this skill include: If the user is sworn loyalty to, an unbreakable contract is formed. It allows a share of both experience and power depending on the power difference.]
[The individuals Amy and Ausar have fulfilled the requirements. They now have access to the system.]
[The individuals Amy and Ausar have created the unique skill: Divine Union, for 3 minutes, the users can fuse their powers and escalate to a power up to 300% of their base stats. Cooldown: 1 month.]
[Due to creating a unique skill, the individuals Amy and Ausar have both leveled to 2.]
Following the massive burst of the system speaking, Amy launched at Rose, who battled fiercely.
Then Rose spoke. Her voice like the system’s
[You cannot stand against me.]
Sheer power echoed through her words, and Amy collapsed.
With a slash, Rose attempted to end it, but Amy leapt back and struck with a massive amount of power.
Rose countered it with arcane, but Amy knew how to react.
“OBLIVION.”
The arcane was nullified, but Rose leapt forward and struck her stomach.
Amy and Ausar amplified their aura and struck.
Rose blocked and launched them back.
She appeared next to them and kicked Amy’s back and we heard a crack.
Due to life magic, her back healed, but Rose hadn’t finished the assault. She slashed and cut wildly and then used a high-power assault.
“SMITE!”
We were shocked, but Celios reassured us.
“She’s only using it because Ausar’s presence protects Amy from the instant death.”
Amy didn’t seem to get the memo as a massive hole appeared in her stomach.
“Amy calm down!”
Ausar was trying to calm her, but the shock of pain that no mortal could sustain normally shocked her.
Ausar healed the wound.
Then the time limit ran out, and they split.
Rose didn’t stop, Amy was still in a state of shock, but Ausar was readying a final move.
“Animal Obli-“
[Cease and Fall.]
With Rose’s command, Ausar froze and keeled over. Then after 10 seconds he slackened again, but Rose already had her blade at his throat.
“Rose WINS!!!”
We were silent. Both groups got wildly stronger in that duel alone.
Rose’s face returned to normal, and she rubbed her cheeks cutely.
“Gah, that is hard to hold. Are you two okay?”
Amy groaned first.
“I’m good, just in a bit of pain.”
“I could be better, but hey, we actually managed to hit you.”
Rose smiled as she helped Ausar up.
“You did, and you reached level 2 from that unique attack. Good job.”
Amy and Ausar celebrated despite getting crushed.
Rose looked at her hand.
“That move is almost too strong.”
“Any side effects?”
“It uses half of my mana.”
“Half?!”
Given how big her mana pool was that was a shock.
“The two. A single cast is only a quarter.”
“That’s still a crap ton of mana.”
“I guess.”
“By the way, how did you do that to your body?”
“I combined the divine aspect with Draconic shift. It allows me to use an empowered version that even changes the inside.”
“Was the creepy smile a symptom of that?”
“No, I don’t actually know how that activates.”
“It certainly is spooky.”
“Though Amy…”
Amy looked at Ausar.
“Yes?”
“What’s a cre*pypasta?”
“It’s like a category of horror stories, and the smile looks like it came straight out of one.”
Rose smirked.
“Your right it does.”
“All it needs to be a creepypasta is black goo dripping from the eyes and mouth.”
“That would be uncomfortable.”
“Yeah… but it would look cool, and who the heck would want to mess with that.”
“Hm… fair…”
We all were chatting when we returned to the capital city to find something that shocked us.
The city was on fire.
