The Adventures of Rose Hood

Chapter 86: The Raid of Selethon

We rushed into the burning city and saw Jalad fighting someone. I saw his new vice-captain dead.

There were roughly 20 raiders.

“There she is!!!”

They looked at me and attacked.

I blocked, but they continued striking.

“You killed Grasel!”

That confirmed it. They were with the God Slayers.

“Analyze.”

This time I got information.

-----------------------

Sal

Race: Human

Level: 438

Prime Title: Subservient Ruler

----------------------

My skill couldn’t get much more but then.

[Your skill Analysis has reached 2]

He punched my gut, launching me into the wall.

Sal stood and shouted.

“Kill them all!!!”

He was another world ruler, but he submitted to the group and joined.

“You aren’t even in your triple digits yet, Kala. You’ll die here.”

Jalad leapt to defend me, but he was countered and thrown.

“Jalad!!”

I ran to heal him.

“Are you okay? Don’t do that, he’s out of our leagues.”

“I swear. I will always defend you. I promised Royce that.”

[The individual Jalad has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The skill Army has leveled to 2. Given the power difference between you and the individual Jalad, he has received a 50% stat efficiency boost. This will change as your skill levels.]

Jalad stood up with a new determination. His aura was now greater, and I realized that he had awakened the divine aspect.

“Jalad, hear my voice and grow in strength.”

Sal heard me and stopped to listen, then I used my new power.

[Hear my voice and evolve.]

Jalad began glowing, his power reached a new height.

[Because of the blessing, Jalad has leveled to 2.]

Jalad leapt at Sal with a new ferocity. Sal countered easily, but he was shocked by the sudden growth.

Jalad was thrown, but I charged Sal. I clashed with him and exerted my strength, but the level difference was too much.

He threw me and I launched into the castle.

“PROTECT ROSE!!!”

[The individual Dallel has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The skill Army has leveled to 2. Given the similar power level between you and the individual Dallel, he has gained a 10% stat efficiency boost.]

Then the system overloaded.

[The individual Amy has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The individual Mammon has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The individual Ausar has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The individual Celios has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The individual Nala has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The individual Asura has sworn loyalty to you.]

[The individual Thalia has sworn loyalty to you.]

Then, one I never expected appeared.

[The individual Dalis has sworn loyalty to you.]

Then more and more names appeared.

[The Army skill has been maxed out, to evolve it, fulfill the following requirements:]

[Head of a higher being. 0/1]

I smiled at how ridiculous the requirement was. I knew of only one higher being that I was near.

“What are you smiling at?!”

Sal smashed right where I was, and I realized that I needed to go all out.

I smiled, and my face melted into the shadow smile.

“The ****?!”

I charged him and slashed at him, but he dodged. He seemed unaware of this form.

[Weakling, I am greater.]

“How can you do that?!”

I spoke to him through the system.

[The individual, He*$)#9 has made the unique skill: System Override.

I smiled at him as he heard the announcement. He froze and backed up.

“What are you?”

[I’m human too. At least, I used to be.]

“Monster.”

He struck at me quickly, leaving a hole in my stomach and launching me back down.

Despite the appearance of it, all it could do at this point was talk through the system. And it cost a lot of mana, but it definitely scared him, and that was all I needed.

All I could do at this point was try to scare him into messing up.

“DIE!!!”

But he seemed far too careful. He kept slamming me around, not even giving me the chance to counter.

My Hp was descending rapidly, and I knew that this guy could actually kill me, so I was at a loss of how to continue.

He threw me and I crashed into a house. I was coughing out blood.

But I knew I couldn’t die there, or they would destroy everything. We were overwhelmed. Someone far greater in power was fighting us.

I would still win.

Sal launched at me again, but this time I was ready, I deflected him into the building and followed with arcane.

He slashed at me with a sword, but our swords were of equal quality as they clashed perfectly.

He was laughing as he saw my condition.

“Do you really think you can win?”

[The Supreme Faction wants access to your world. Their intention: Aid. Do you wish to grant access.]

“Yes.”

Sal laughed.

“Really? You really think you can beat me? I am a tra-“

The rest of his words were cut off, as his head went flying.

“THE SUPREME FACTION. RUN!!!”

The attackers fled as fast as they could, but they still lost over half of them while fleeing.

A powerful being landed in front of me.

“Heather, don’t worry, your world is safe. We will take our leave now.”

Then the being left.

[You have been credited with the killing of Level 438 Sal with the aid of Level 983 Gabriel. Due to the level difference, you have gained all of the experience.]

[You have reached Level 38, your health is restored.]

[You have 3 unread notifications.]

“Tell me them.”

[Your subordinate Thalia is in critical condition]

[Your subordinate Asura is in critical condition]

[Your subordinate Dalis has died]
