Chapter 329: Chapter 327: I Feel Like I've Become a Mother-in-Law~
Seeing so many eager eyes staring at him, Sui felt a little exasperated. If it were just the girls looking at him like this, it might have been a pleasant experience both physically and mentally. However, there were also people like Kuga and Eishi among them, which made the situation a bit awkward.
Alice, on the other hand, didn't rush to grab the rice, as Sui had already given her two bags last time. Now, she ate it every day, and her mother constantly praised Sui for being so filial, often remarking how perfect it would be if Sui became her son-in-law.
Though, technically, that was already the case.
Sōma, Takumi, and the others also wanted some, but it wasn't easy for them to compete with their senpais.
"Kohai, can I have this bag?" Rindō asked, batting her eyes sweetly.
"You can't just let Rindō have it all to herself," Eishi added with a smile.
"Yeah, monopolizing it isn't fair, Senpai," Isshiki chimed in, also smiling.
The bag of black rice Sui brought wasn't large—maybe about ten kilograms. It was only half the size of the typical twenty-kilogram bags sold in the food market.
"How about this: everyone brings over their food containers, and I'll divide it up," Sui suggested.
As soon as he spoke, several food containers were immediately handed over.
"Kohai, you're being so stingy!" Rindō huffed, clearly upset she hadn't made the dish herself this time.
"Rindō, that's rude. According to tradition, senpais in the Red Leaf Hunting Tournament are supposed to let their kohai try their food. You're the one not following custom," Eishi said, shaking his head with a playful grin.
Rindō pouted, clearly not happy with the situation.
"Once I divide it up, whatever's left in the bag is yours," Sui finally relented.
"Really?"
Her eyes brightened as she snatched the bag from Sui and began sharing with the others.
However, to everyone's frustration, she only gave each person a tiny portion—barely enough for a single bowl.
"Rindō, hand over the bag," Momo said expressionlessly, holding out her hand.
"No way!" Rindō quickly hid the bag behind her back.
In the end, Sui had to step in and take the bag from her to properly divide the rice among everyone.
Each of the Ten Elites got some, except for Eizan. It wasn't that Sui didn't want to give him any, but after the last confrontation, Eizan didn't feel comfortable enough to ask for any.
Even though Rindō wasn't entirely happy, when she saw there was still over four pounds left in the bag—meaning she had kept half for herself—she reluctantly nodded in satisfaction.
"This is too little," Kuga grumbled, eyeing the small portion in his container. "Sui, you're being way too stingy."
"Well, we've already shared a French kiss, so I guess I can let it slide," Rindō said smugly, puffing out her chest.
"What?! Rindō-senpai, you keep bringing that up! Are you showing off?" Alice shouted in annoyance.
"She's right!" Erina added, equally irritated.
At that moment, Sōma sauntered over, grinning shamelessly. "Hey, Senpai, how about sharing some of your rice with me?"
"Get lost! There's no rice for you," Rindō barked, kicking him away.
With that, the group resumed enjoying the autumn leaves and the food.
"Hey, senpai! How about a shokugeki with me? I want to become one of the Ten Elites," Sōma declared, raising his hand eagerly.
The Ten Elites ignored him completely.
"If you can outmatch me, maybe I'll consider it," Kuga teased, leaning in close to Soma's face.
Nene added from the side, "You already lost, you know."
"You little...! I meant the food, not my height!" Kuga shouted in frustration.
After finishing the meal and admiring the red leaves, it was time to head back.
Overall, everyone was satisfied—especially with Sui's black rice—except for the few first-year students like Sōma, who didn't get any. It was a bit disappointing for them.
---
Before they parted ways, Sui suddenly called out, "Megumi!"
"Eh? Sui-kun, what is it?" Megumi turned around in surprise, her face full of curiosity.
"This is for you," Sui said, handing her a small bag of black rice.
"Wow! Is this the black rice earlier?" Tadokoro exclaimed as she opened the bag to peek inside.
Sui smiled and nodded. This small portion was specially set aside for her; he had always felt a little bad for her.
Blushing slightly, Tadokoro thanked him in a soft voice. "Thank you, Sui-kun."
——
A few days later, Sui visited Alice's home again.
Leonora hadn't left yet, wanting to spend more time with her daughter after returning from her travels. Sōe had already returned to Northern Europe a few days earlier to take care of business.
"Sui, are you here to visit us ladies again?" Leonora asked warmly, greeting him in a vibrant red dress. She looked as stunning as ever, her smile full of grace.
"Yes," Sui replied with a nod. "By the way, Alice told me you're fond of the black rice, so I brought some more. I also brought honey and milk—they're great for your skin."
With the high production of milk and honey from his farm, Sui had plenty of stock to spare.
"Oh, Sui, you're too kind! Always bringing us such delicious things," Leonora said happily. Then, with a teasing smile, she leaned over and kissed Sui on the cheek. "I feel like I've become a mother-in-law, being so well taken care of by you."
Sui touched his now-wet cheek, feeling a bit speechless. Aren't I already your son-in-law? It's just that you don't know it yet.
Alice watched the scene unfold with a smile. Then, excitedly grabbing Sui's hand, she pulled him upstairs. "Come on, let's hang out for a while!"
"Make sure you stay and play a little longer today," Leonora called out with a wave, sipping the milk Sui had brought. Her eyes widened in surprise at its rich flavor. "Delicious! This milk is amazing!"
Even though Northern Europe was home to many high-quality dairy farms, none of them produced milk quite like this.
Upstairs, Alice led Sui into her room. The moment they entered, she gave him a quick kiss on the opposite cheek, giggling playfully.
Sui touched both of his cheeks and sighed.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" Alice said suddenly, rushing to her closet and pulling out a small bottle. She handed it to Sui with a bright smile.
