Alice poured a little of the liquid from the bottle into her cup and handed it to Sui.
Sui glanced at the dark, murky contents and sighed, already feeling a headache. "What is this strange concoction?"
"Just drink it!" Alice urged with excitement.
The liquid was black and slightly turbid, emitting a fresh rice aroma. Sui cast a skeptical look at Alice, sensing something was off about the drink.
"Why are you staring at me? Hurry up and drink!" Alice puffed her cheeks, clearly annoyed by his hesitation, and tugged at his arm playfully.
With a resigned sigh, Sui finally relented and took a sip.
"Well? How is it? Is it good?" Alice asked eagerly, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Mm, it's not bad," Sui responded after smacking his lips. The taste was sweet, light, and fragrant with rice—a pleasant surprise for a drink.
"Right?" Alice beamed proudly.
But then Sui had a thought and asked suspiciously, "Wait... this wine, could it be your..."
"Yes! It's my homemade 'Kuchikamizake'!" Alice stuck out her tongue, playfully embarrassed.
Sui could only shake his head in exasperation. He had suspected as much. The whole situation with Rindō's similar sake had clearly gotten under Alice's skin, so now she was determined to try making her own.
"So, which one's better—mine or Rindō-senpai's?" Alice asked, her cheeks flushed but still pressing for an answer.
Sui hesitated, once again realizing how girls loved to compare the most trivial things. After a moment's thought, he answered truthfully, "Yours is better. It's richer in aroma and sweeter. But... you made this with jet-black rice, didn't you?"
"Of course!" Alice puffed out her chest with pride. "I even had some help from my mom!"
"Your... mother?" Sui blinked, surprised. "So your mom helped you make this?"
"Yup! She caught me making 'Kuchikamizake' in the kitchen and got curious, so she lent me a hand." Alice's blush deepened, her gaze shy.
Sui's mind raced. "Wait... does your mom know you made this for me?"
"Nope!" Alice stuck out her tongue mischievously. "She thought I was just making it for fun. But next time, I'll make some for you all by myself. You have to drink it, okay?"
Her tone suddenly became serious as she patted his shoulder with authority, her cheeks puffed in determination.
Sui couldn't help but feel awkward. 'Does that mean I've just had an indirect kiss with my mother-in-law?!' he thought, feeling a bit queasy at the thought.
"Enough about that. Come on, have some more!" Alice said with a grin as she poured more of the wine into Sui's cup.
Sui sighed inwardly, but before he could object, Alice pouted and scolded, "Why did you drink all of Rindō-senpai's wine, but now you're hesitating with mine?"
"That's because I didn't know what it was at first," Sui muttered defensively.
"I don't care! You have to drink it, now!" Alice playfully swatted him with her fists, demanding he drink.
Resigned, Sui took another sip, even though he was reluctant.
Two hours passed before Sui finally left Alice's room.
"Sui, are you leaving already? Won't you stay and hang out a bit longer?" Leonora asked as she walked him to the door. She gently brushed her fingers across her cheek, her tone tinged with regret.
"Yes, I have to go." Sui nodded, though his thoughts were still occupied with the realization that the sake he drank earlier meant an indirect kiss with his mother-in-law, which left him feeling strange.
"Well, make sure to come and visit again soon!" Leonora waved warmly as Sui left, smiling as she watched him go.

A few days later, the Moon Banquet Festival was about to begin. Sui received a new task from the system.
"Host, please use the reputation of your research society to open a mock store during the Moon Banquet Festival, featuring fantasy ingredients, and aim to become the most popular.
Mission Reward: A-grade food gift package."
"Looks like I'll need to open a booth as well?" Sui rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
After school, Sui walked alongside Megumi and Sōma.
"Oh yeah, I've decided!" Sōma declared, suddenly animated. "I'm going to surpass Kuga-senpai in the Moon Banquet Festival! That way, he'll agree to a shokugeki with me!"
"Sui-kun, are you planning to open a booth during the festival?" Megumi asked hesitantly, lowering her head shyly.
"Yes, I think I will," Sui nodded.
"So... have you already found someone to help you?" Megumi asked, her voice soft.
"Not yet," Sui replied before smiling at her. "Actually, I was hoping you could help me, Megumi. Would that be okay?"
"Yes!" Megumi beamed, clearly overjoyed to hear his request.
However, just one person wouldn't be enough to run the entire operation. Sui decided to find Miyoko to help as well.
When they found her, Miyoko was in the middle of her physical education class, dominating the basketball court with ease. Her tall, athletic frame and powerful moves made her untouchable as she effortlessly dribbled past the boys and finished with a commanding dunk, sending them sprawling.
Both Megumi and Sōma couldn't help but swallow nervously at the sight.
After finishing her game, Miyoko noticed Sui standing nearby. Her face brightened, and she confidently walked over to him.
"By the way, Sui, are you doing anything for the festival? If you're planning to open a booth, I'd love to help out." Miyoko suddenly turned shy, glancing at her sneakers as she asked timidly.
