The Lazy Loli is Actually Quite Active

11 – Bad kitty

The big kitty brought his hands together and large fireball was formed in his palms. And in the next moment, he fired it at me.

"Now die!!"

"That's not a nice thing to say. And who would even die from something like this?"

I extended my hand. The moment the fireball collided with my ball it froze instantly into a giant snowball.

"What the…!?"

I then tossed it back and hit the kitty straight in his face. He was pushed back a little.

"Playing with snowballs is more fun than fireballs."

"Why you little… I'll crush you!"

He slammed all 4 of his fists into the ground. Large dust was raised, but when it cleared up…

"No way!!"

I was standing in the same spot. I lifted Kaa and Laa above my head and blocked his assault. I didn't have a single scratch.

"You pack a good punch, but it still only feels like a tickle. Here, let me show you how it's done."

I brushed his hands away, took a large leap and clenched my fist. I punched him straight in the chest. The moment I made contact he was sent flying and crashed into the wall.

"Guuahh!!"

Oops. I overdid it. I made small hole in his chest and he was coughing blood.

"Such a thing… what the hell are you?"

"Me? I'm just a loli."

"Don't screw with me!! Haaa!!"

With that scream he let out a large amount of mana. His wound closed up. Various dark laser beams were being fired from his hands. I didn't feel like brushing these off, so I dodged them instead.

"Hey, you actually got a little stronger. Not bad."

"Fool, you fell for it!"

When I dodged his attack, in the next moment various red strings wrapped around my body. These definitely aren't spider strings that's for sure.

"Grand Thread! The ability that only I possess. There's no escape from you. Those strings will dissect you. You'll become just a pile of flesh."

What kind of game is this. It's almost like he is trying to hurt me.

"Excuse me, but what's this supposed to be. I can't feel anything. Should I give it more time?"

"Nani!? Just get sliced already!!"

I flexed my body a bit and all those strings broke in an instant as if they were glass. Well that was useless.

"I had enough! I'll give you my all. The ultimate skill known!"

Huh!? This time he was charging up a powerful blast. Much stronger than before. Ugh… this is troublesome a bit.

"Don't think you can dodge this! If you do, your friends will die!!"

For an instant I froze. This guy… is actually a monster, not a kitty. He wants to kill my friends? Fat chance I'll let that happen. I never killed up until now, but that sentence just pissed me off.

"Eat this!! Abyss Destroyer!!!"

I raised my hand in a karate chop manner and wrapped it in pure light. And then. I lowered it.

"Divine Sword."

~Lina's point of view~

"Moo! I can't believe what my eyes are seeing. Is she for real?"

Shera who was standing next to me was surprised. I can't blame her. Anyone would be shocked if they saw a display of force like that. Ayaka is simply toying with him. For a second I was worried. After all, a superior demonic being is known for being able to kill armies. Even for me, it would take most of skill to fend one off.

But that was my mistake. I appraised the opponent from my perspective. Given the extreme power gap between me and Ayaka, I should have known she would be able to deal with this quite easy.

"Miss Lina, is the child perhaps a Goddess or something? It's not just her staff that's giving her power. She herself has a ridiculous amount of mana."

"I understand your feelings, Shera. Anyone would probably think that. But I can assure you, she's mortal, just like you and me. Her origins are a mystery, but to be honest, I don't care where she came from. I'm just happy I met her and serve her."

"Serve?"

"I'm her slave. But we're practically family at this point."

"Divine Sword."

Our conversation was interrupted by a bright light. Ayaka wrapped mana around her palm and swung it like a sword. The power behind that completely obliterated the guardian's attack and sliced him clean in two. He couldn't even speak a single word. He just fell down in a puddle of blood.

I looked up once again. The wave also left a crater into the wall, but it was so precise, that it didn't collapse. The integrity of this room is still the same. Honestly speaking, at times like this I wonder what would happen if Ayaka were to actually get serious? Regardless, I can never picture her losing.

"Hey girls, I'm done. You okay?"

"Yes!"

"Yup. Me too!"

"Sweet. Shera, do you think the minotaurs will mind if I leave that corpse here? I'm not fond of cleaning all that mess. I wasted enough time already."

"No, no. You can rest at ease. They will be extremely grateful that you provided access to this room, so there won't be any objections, sweetie."

And there she goes again. Just when I think this airhead cow gets serious, in the next second she shifts back to her ditzy personality. It's like she has a motherly feeling, but at the same time lacks some common sense. But I'm in no position to talk about common sense, given Ayaka. I mean seriously, who would mistake a demonic being for a kitty?

"Okay. So are we finally done here? Can we return. I'm starting to hate this cave."

"I have gathered everything I need. From my point of view it's ok."

"Shera, are you sure it's okay for us to take these?"

"Whatever do you mean? I feel it's only fair after fighting that guardian. And it's not like we minotaurs own this place. It's your hard work so sure, you can keep them."

I had to make sure. Ayaka is trying to keep a low profile. The last thing she will want is people roaming around her asking "how did you get this" or "that doesn't belong to you". Up till now I mostly managed to take it upon me whatever miracle Ayaka performed. Of course there were exceptions, that also led to the incident with the adventurers that were looking for my cutie mistress.

If miss Shera is this odd, I can't imagine how odd this blacksmith is going to be. After this adventure I really want that katana mistress was talking about. I just hope everything goes alright. If Ayaka doesn't get her way, I'm afraid she might resort to force. Maybe I should try teaching her some common sense? If she'll listen to me that is.

"Anyway, let's go then. We have no more business here."

And so, the 3 of us left this dungeon and we slowly returned to town.
