The Married Life Of Immortals

Chapter 9: Dirty and Foul Mouth Women

Bane had never expected to see such detailed information for a race option before. "Are really the best options for Zerynthia?" Bane asked aloud.

"Oh? Are you seriously going to go through with your promise? I think you should just let her be reborn into the world at random. I wouldn't put it past her to try and drive you insane if you keep your promise," Elexis warned from behind him, and Eve nodded her head.

"She is right. According to your memories, this Zerynthia is nothing more than a self-serving monster looking for a way out of the mess that she constantly creates herself. It should be warning enough when not even a person like Ragna, who seems to be the kindest demon you have met, was willing to keep her around," Eve said, and Nia frowned.

"You both aren't wrong, but I want to see how this plays out. I also agree that Zerynthia is a wild card, but I feel like there should be a reason for the way she acts," Nia said, then turned her attention back to the screen. "I like the phoenix dragon and elemental dragon options, but I don't know if they are the best choices. While very good picks, I almost feel like that is too much power, and will not help shape her personality positively in the future."

Bane smiled briefly, and then stabbed a finger at the vampire and glowing woman.

"Do you two ditz not get why we are here? Give me helpful insight, or kindly shut the fuck up," Bane demanded, and turned his attention to Nia. "The two options you chose are indeed too powerful to give to someone with Zerythias current personality, but I don't just want to make her into a phoenix. I mean, it would probably be the best choice, but I would be lying if I wasn't drawn to the Harpy choices out of spite."

Elexis shook her head as she watched Bane look over the options again. "Well, it is your decision, but remember that you aren't just choosing what you want. She is still a living being that can grow in different ways."

Bane sighed, and started to select each choice to see what the different options looked like.

The first was the Harpy Phoenix, and Bane was actually surprised at the form displayed in front of him on the floating screen. Bane was nearly clueless about monsters, but he has seen pictures of Harpies in the past. From what he knew, they were nothing but dirty and foul mouth women with wings for arms and chicken like bird feet, but the image before him was not what he had expected.

Instead of being ugly and vile, the Harpy Phoenix before him was actually quite beautiful, with a shapely body that was just like any other woman. The only difference was the red and green feathered wings protruding from her back, and ring of soft white feathers that circled her neck. Her skin was a red tan color, while her hair was long and fiery red, and her eyes were a piercing emerald green.

Bane could see that this creature was quite attractive, and had no idea what to think of it, but rather than ruminating over it, he moved to the next option. Arch Phoenix. After only a couple seconds, Bane switched to the next race. This was simply because there was almost no change to how Zerynthia looked before in the demon world.

The next choice was the Arch Harpy, and Banes' eyes widened as he looked over the information displayed on the screen.

"Is this really what a Harpy looks like?" Bane asked as he stared at the image before him.

Elexis gave the body an appraising look, but then shrugged. "You must be thinking of feral or low grade harpies. Some might think of harpies as disgusting creatures, but that is not true. There are many harpies who have lived for hundreds of years and have reached an evolved state."

"Really?" Bane asked as he looked over the angelic body of the Arch Harpy. "She looks more like a fallen or bloody angel if I had to guess. Not that I know anything about either of them, but I had just assumed they were whorish birds with foul mouths."

Elexis shrugged. "While you normally wouldn't be wrong, that type of Harpy is more monster then something like this. A feral Harpy is more like an animal, and makes up a good number of their race, an Arch Harpy is a highly evolved version of the Harpy species."

"I see," Bane said as he looked over the Arch Harpy option again. "I'm surprised that she looks so human-like. If anything, I would have thought that she would be more like a bird with a human face and saggy tits."

"I think she looks quite beautiful," Nia said as she blushed, and then turned around to avoid looking at the body. "Not that I am judging, but it would seem that your mind has a thing for women with wings."

Bane smirked. "You might be onto something. I have never thought about it before, but now that you mention it, it does seem to be a thing I like."

"Well, it doesn't matter to me," Eve said as she crossed her arms. "You can keep looking over these useless women, but I think I will take my leave."

Bane chuckled at her words as Eve absorbed into his body, but then paused when he looked at the dragon options. The more he looked over the image of the Elemental and Phoenix Dragon, the less he liked it. While Bane thought dragons were cool, it would just give Zerynthia more reason to give him attitude in the future.

"I don't think I will be using either of those choices," Bane said as he scrolled back up to the Arch Harpy. "While I am sure she is going to be angry about this, I think I have spent enough time on this."

With that Bane summoned the cherry red demon heart from his ring and popped it into his mouth. After a couple of seconds, the strawberry flavored crystal burst in his mouth, and Zerynthia's spark rushed into the avatar that burst with light. Bane had considered making some more changes, but after seeing that they would likely just be changed, he just went with the current form.

"How dare you put me in the body of an inferior being!" Zerynthia screamed the moment her body formed.

Bane put a hand to his chin and gave the freaking woman an appraising look. "Not too shabby."

"Not too shabby?!" She snapped as she glared down at her body. "I am a Pheonix! How can I return to the heavens for my revenge looking like this?! I will be nothing more than a laughing stock in this lower being's body!"

Bane shrugged. "Meh. I will have to deal with that place at some point, so don't get your panties worked up. You're no longer immortal, so don't piss me off, or you won't be coming back the next time I toss you into a volcano. Just shut your trap and go stand with the other two."

Zerynthia's face became contorted as the blood vessel on her forehead stood out and pulsed. It looked like she was about to start screaming at him again, but before she could, Nia appeared beside her.

"Don't cause any trouble for him," Nia warned, and Zerynthia turned to her with a look of pure hatred, then looked at Bane.

"Did you really make her an angel? Am I just a joke to you?" Zerynthia snapped, but Bane wasn't even paying attention as he quickly worked on Ragna's body.

"Just think of this as punishment for being so annoying," Elexis laughed with a sound like wind chimes. "You were the one who wanted to be reborn, so enjoy it."

Zerynthia let out a screeching noise, like a bird squawking, and stormed off towards the Bane. "You will regret this! You hear me, Bane! I will make you pay for what you have done to me!"

"Oh, I know you will," Bane said with a smile. "I'm not even going to try and stop you from plotting against me. Just give me a reason to send you packing, and you can go get your stupid revenge. I have no plans on stopping you if you just want to leave without forcing my hand, but I will let you know this. Fuck around, and next just over two and a half years will be some of the worst of your life. We are all stuck on this island until then."

Zerynthia glared at Bane, and he just smiled in response. They stared each other down for nearly a minute, but then Zerynthia just turned around with a huff and stomped off towards the others.

'She is just as bad as your memories revealed, but you are also to blame for part of her attitude. You could have just made her a phoenix and called it a day,' Eve said from within Bane's mind, but he only mentally shrugged as he retrieved Ragna's clear demon heart from his ring, popping it into his mouth.

'True, but the bitch annoyed the piss out of me. Call it being spiteful, but I don't actually want this one to stay around. I still can't figure out why I even let her come along," Bane mused internally until the demon heart that seemed to have the flavor of prideful joy cracked in his mouth.

After confirming, light burst forth from the floating screen, and Bane smirked. Before him was a half cat man, and half Viking with gray fur with several black patches; the most notable being the one that covered one eye.

"Really? You can just make me look however?" Ragna asked with a bit of wonder as he flexed and stretched his new feline body a few times before dancing from one foot to another. "Not that I am complaining. While nothing like my old body, just from moving around I can tell this body will be able to pass my old form tenfold! I feel so light and nibble, even with this dense and thick muscle that is covering my body! We should have a spar!"

Bane nodded, but not to the fight, even if it did sound like a lot of fun. "Glad you like the body, but we will have to put that on hold for now." Turning, Bane gestured for Ragna to join the girls who were bickering, and he did so as Bane pulled out a demon heart that was different from all the rest. This one was red and black with a strange waving divide. "Time to bring out the last one."
