ALL NOVEL Chapter 8: A Promise Made
When the heart shattered, the world around Bane seemed to freeze as a bright light flashed, and then disappeared in an instant. Bane blinked at the suddenness, but didn't get a chance to look around before he felt something slam into his chest. Bane was knocked off his feet as he saw the large woman fall onto him with her arms wrapped around his neck.
Bane groaned as he tried to get up, but was surprised when he was unable to move.
"You really kept your promise! Gods! I am finally free from that forsaken realm!" Elexis squealed, nearly suffocating Bane with her sizable breast, before pulling back to look at her body. "Pale white skin?" She asked, then flapped the two little red wings on her back and swished her thin tail that had a spade on the end before putting a hand to her mouth as her face broke out into a wide smile.
"I will take it that you like the new body?" Bane asked, and then shoved the pale skinned woman off him as he tried to get back up, but Elexis tackled him to the ground again, trying to kiss him.
In the next instant, Nia grabbed Elexis by the shoulder, and sent her flying out into the white never ending expanse before squeezing her fist together and shouting, "You have to wait and ask Lysia first!"
Elexis flew in the air for 100 meters before the small red wings on her back burst and she caught herself. "Oh? Nia? Is that you?"
"You have to wait until we get permission before you can kiss him!" Nia declared as she stood in front of Bane as he stood up.
Eve snickered on the side. "See? I said this one is the better of the three."
Bane snorted, and patted Nia on the head as he walked past her. "Don't worry about the pale winged bat. I made her this way, so I will deal with her."
With a single pulling motion with his fingers, Elexis's body was forcibly pulled in front of him. "While I like that your personality hasn't changed much, don't push your luck. Try any funny moves on me, and the cute four winged pigeon is going to be the least of your problems, got it?"
"Does that mean you are going to hold true to your word? You, as a godlike existence, will still be willing to take me as your wife? This isn't just some game to you, right?" Elexis asked as she hung in the air in front of him.
Bane snorted. "I never said anything about being a god, but yes, I do plan to take you as my wife, but only if you can convince Lysia. Don't you dare make me regret this decision."
Elexis's face blossomed into a beautiful smile as she nodded her head rapidly. "Of course! I will never do anything that would jeopardize my chances! I am willing to do anything for you! Just tell me what to do!"
Bane raised an eyebrow, and then turned around with a wave of his hand. "To be quiet for now. There are still two more bodies to reform."
As he did, Demonic energy flowed from his ring into the character building screen, and the Demon Phoenix, Zerythia's avatar appeared.
"Oh, you still have that annoying whore to create? Are you seriously going to keep your promise to her? You would be much better off letting her join the rebirth cycle," Elexis sighed as she walked behind Bane, trying to peek at the screen, and Eve nodded on his left side.
"While I still don't like you, that is the most important thing that has come out of your mouth so far," Eve agreed.
"Hey!" Nia growled, stabbing a finger into Elexis's porcelain white cheek. "He only brought us back because of the promise that he made to all of us! Don't get greedy and think that you are worth any more than Zerynthia!"
"Oh?" Elexis said, turning her face while grabbing Nia by the finger, only to start licking it. "My, My! The shy little demon has turned into an angel and grown a spine? How romantic!"
Nia blushed furiously, and yanked her hand away. "D-don't lick me!"
Bane chuckled at the two women bickering, but stopped when he looked at the character creation screen for Zerynthia. "Why is the race selection glowing?"
After selecting the option for race, Bane could only blink at the five very detailed race options.
- Harpy Phoenix
Description: This creature combines the attributes of a harpy and a phoenix, embodying both the raw, aerial ferocity of a harpy and the regenerative, fiery essence of a phoenix.
Appearance: She has a bird-like lower body with talons and feathered wings, while her upper body is human-like but wreathed in flames. Her feathers shimmer in reds, oranges, and golds, with fire trailing off her wings as she flies.
Abilities: She possesses powerful aerial combat skills, with sharp talons and the ability to call upon firestorms. Her phoenix lineage allows her to regenerate, rising anew if defeated, becoming more formidable each time.
Personality: Often temperamental and proud, she embodies the fierce independence and unpredictability of both harpies and phoenixes. She may be territorial and hard to befriend but is fiercely loyal to those she respects.
- Arch Phoenix
Description: A regal and more powerful variant of the traditional phoenix, the Arch Phoenix is a high-ranking, ancient bird of fire, often revered by other fire-based creatures and elemental spirits.
Appearance: She resembles a massive phoenix with resplendent, iridescent feathers that shift colors with each movement. Her wingspan is vast, and her plumage blazes with intense, purifying flames.
Abilities: In addition to regeneration, she has control over powerful fire-based magic. She can cleanse areas of darkness, heal allies through her flames, and even manipulate magma. Her fire can also purify the souls of her foes, burning away evil.
Personality: Wise and noble, the Arch Phoenix has a dignified, sometimes aloof nature. She may serve as a guardian of sacred lands and takes her duties very seriously, only offering her aid to those she deems worthy.
- Arch Harpy
Description: An evolved and highly intelligent version of a typical harpy, the Arch Harpy is a powerful aerial warrior and leader among her kin. She represents the apex of harpy evolution.
Appearance: She has a human-like upper body with powerful wings that appear storm-gray, and her lower body is bird-like, equipped with razor-sharp talons. She may have feathers with metallic hues, suggesting her enhanced status.
Abilities: She can summon and control powerful wind currents, whipping up tornadoes and storms with ease. She may also have some control over thunder and lightning, using them to disorient foes. Her cries are capable of breaking through enemy defenses.
Personality: Proud and cunning, she is a natural strategist, leading her kind in aerial battles. She tends to be ambitious and enjoys testing her skills against strong opponents, often underestimating those who challenge her.
- Phoenix Dragon
Description: This creature is a hybrid between a phoenix and a dragon, possessing both the fiery rebirth of a phoenix and the raw, overwhelming power of a dragon.
Appearance: She has a dragon's form with a phoenix’s vibrant plumage, with scales that shimmer like burning embers and feathered wings that blaze with fire. Her body is large and serpentine, with scales that can change colors like fire.
Abilities: She wields dragon-level strength and ferocity along with fire-based abilities. She can unleash devastating fire breath and regenerate like a phoenix, rising stronger each time she is brought down. She also has the ability to engulf her body in flames, creating a blazing storm around her.

- Elemental Dragon
Description: An ancient dragon who has mastered control over multiple elements, the Elemental Dragon is a being of immense power, embodying various elemental forces like fire, water, earth, air, and possibly even lightning.
Appearance: Her scales change colors depending on the element she is using, shifting between hues of fiery red, ocean blue, earthy brown, stormy gray, and electric purple. She is massive and adorned with horns or crests that resonate with each element.
Abilities: She can harness elemental attacks, summon storms, cause earthquakes, ignite infernos, and command tidal waves. She can combine elements to create unique and devastating attacks, such as magma eruptions or electric whirlwinds. She can also adapt her defenses, becoming immune to attacks associated with the elements she controls.
Personality: Wise and patient, the Elemental Dragon has a keen sense of balance and harmony. She acts as a guardian of natural order and typically avoids unnecessary conflict but is a devastating force when provoked. She respects those who live in harmony with nature and harshly punishes those who disrespect it.
