The Overlord, The Automata, and The Silver

Chapter 8: Slice of Life, part two (66)

There, the four girls stood on the sixth floor of the tomb. Albedo was just about to summon her bicorn. As she did so, Aeskell looked at Shalltear. The floor guardian had seemed distressed the day prior, when they had announced Ainz’s not-plan to subjugate the world.

She was in the middle of thinking about Ainz and what names she should give her two children, when Shalltear glanced at her and flinched. Aeskell tilted her head at this. That flinch was rather unlike what she would normally do when the two of them looked at each other.

Shalltear would usually give her a somewhat polite, yet hungry smile and turn away. However, now she seemed rather afraid of Aeskell. Aeskell looked away from the small vampire and back at Albedo who was talking to Aura about what to call her bicorn.

“I’m not quite sure that this is even the same bicorn I summon each time I was the spell. Though, he does look impressive, again though, all level one hundred bicorns look like this,” she said to Aura.

“I still think it needs a name,” Aura said, “after all, all pets need a name.”

“He’s not really a pet though. He’s more like a weapon than anything. However, if I was going to name him, it would have to be impressive,” she said while turning to thew bicorn and away from Aura.

“I would have to name it after something suitably impressive. Like Lord Ainz,” she said.

It was then that Shalltear opened her mouth. It appeared as though she was going to speak, but then her expression changed to something akin to realization, and she closed her mouth. Aeskell and Aura noticed this and looked at the vampire.

She seemed really dejected all of a sudden. It the two other girls looked at each other then, as if asking each other, silently, if they knew anything wrong with Shalltear.

Then, Albedo got on her bicorn and rode it around the other three women with a rather smug smile on her face. Shalltear still seemed to be in her own little world though. It was then that Aeskell asked what was wrong.

“Shalltear, what’s wrong. Ever since Albedo and I got pregnant you’ve been sad. I also keep hearing how you have started going to the bar again and keep trying to get drunk. What’s wrong?” she asked with a deep solemness.

Shalltear looked up from her twiddling thumbs and stared, wide eyed, at Aeskell. It seemed to Aeskell that Shalltear hadn’t even thought that she would care about her mental health.

Also, Aeskell wasn’t blind. She had an inkling of what Shalltear was feeling. It was also obvious that she also loved Ainz. She also had no idea what to do with that.

Ainz would no doubt only look at Shalltear as one of his friend’s children. That feeling would probably be reinforced by the fact that she looked much younger than she canonically was. It was strange and somewhat annoying, to say the least.

“I just was thinking, it must be heavenly to have what you have with Lord Ainz. I simply wish that I had what you have with him. I want to carry his child, I want to be held by him,” her ears and cheeks then flushed as she nearly spoke something rather lewd, but Aeskell covered her mouth.

“Shalltear, could you not say any lewd things when children are around?” Aeskell said, and Shalltear nodded her head while the blush on her cheeks spread.

Aeskell then removed her hand from Shalltear’s mouth and stood up straight as she had to bend over to cover it. Then, she spoke to Shalltear in a rather happy tone, as if she had spontaneously come up with an idea.

“You know, why don’t we connect? On the ninth floor there are some rather nice, public baths. We can try and wash each other,” she offered and Shalltear looked at her with even wider eyes than before.

“I would like that my lady, I would like that very much,” she said with a breath of relief.

Shalltear had thought that Aeskell would hate her. After all, she had just confessed to loving the man that she herself would have children with. It didn’t make much sense at all really, that Aeskell would seemingly let it slide.

However, Aeskell was thinking about Ainz in this instance. Ainz needed someone who would help him vent his frustrations with. of course, it wasn’t healthy to yell at your loved ones when mad, but he didn’t really get that mad at all.

She was also thinking about sex in this instance, Shalltear liked to be dominated. If Ainz let out minor frustrations by being dominant during sex, then it probably would be fine.

“I’m just shocked that you’re not mad at me,” Shalltear confessed.

“Oh, don’t be. I’ve already partially fallen for Albedo, so if you join, I’m sure we can get along if we know each other enough,” Aeskell waved off Shalltear’s concern with a wave of her hand.

Aura, Shalltear, and even Albedo blanched at that casual confession of love. Albedo especially because she didn’t fully realize that Aeskell was serious when she had mentioned that she had fallen for her as well those couple of days ago.

Shalltear walked down the halls and she was fairly certain that this was going to be rather fun! After all, she was about to go to the communal bath. She was going to learn some things about lady Aeskell and Albedo.

Though, it was a bit strange, having Lady Aeskell be the one to suggest this. She herself had never been to these baths before. She had heard that Ainz had been here before, but that was in the men’s bath.

Come to think of it, why had her Lord done so? After all, he was undead like her. she didn’t produce sweat. But then-then again, there was more than one’s body getting a person dirty, if that line made sense.

The four of them made their way to the bath, they then entered the girls’ changing room. That was the first time she had ever seen Lady Aeskell naked. It was strange, to say the least.

Lady Aeskell had only been pregnant for about a day, maybe two now. Although, she had expected the woman to have a baby bump, but that was just her being silly. After all, after seeing her naked, she could now safely say that she liked both men and women.

Her curves were all in the right places, her chest was the perfect size for her body type, and her eyes were simply divine looking. Sure, her Lord Ainz was the only truly divine being, but she saw why her Lord Ainz had decided that lady Aeskell was worthy of being a supreme being.

After they were done changing out of their clothes, and had rinsed themselves, they went out of the changing room and made their way to the bath itself. It was then that she spotted her Lord Ainz.

He was only wearing a towel when she spotted him, and his divine, undead body made her head light for a second. She then looked at the rest of the girls going to the bath to make sure that they saw him as well. However, the sight of Lady Aeskell blushing at his visage made her nose bleed and she blacked out.
