"Whitey, you love meat right? I hunted this for you. It will be our food for tonight's dinner."

Shao Cheng just blinks his eyes while making sure that his clothes aren't messy before finally turning around to Ren Yuan that has come back with a knock out deer on his hands.

Tonight dinner huh?

Well, it's a good time to have a proper meal for tonight, and as for the reason of not lighting up a fire to keep their hideout difficult to find from before, well after killing those birds, one way or another their enemies will be able to use their disappearance as a lead to find the location of where they have been hiding the entire time.

Rather than letting the enemies found their whereabout quickly, Shao Cheng has decided to kill those birds in order to give them a bit more time.

Picking up the bunch of fish that he has caught from the river, Shao Cheng gazes turn a bit softer on Ren Yuan after his attention return to him in which he received a playful grin, somehow, there is this feeling that the two of them seemed to have gotten a bit more closely after they finish their talk.

"Yuan, you remember it? Thank you, I appreciate it."

As for calling the older man with his first name, Shao Cheng decided to stop using Big Brother Yu Yu for now when his biological brother is going to be with them in which he will definitely hear those words and from he was able to observe so far, Shao Yan will definitely get jealous.

Listening to the praise from the young man, Ren Yuan eyes light up while his heart seemed to swell up in pleasure before practically bouncing over to stand on Whitey side with a huge smile on his face.

"Great, make sure to cook my food tonight alright? I miss the taste of your dish."

When he didn't get a reply from the young man, Ren Yuan rolls his eyes, "Hey, I'm still mad at you for running away. If you cook my meal, I'll forgive you alright?"

"... Ok."

Shao Cheng inwardly sighs although he doesn't mind the request of Ren Yuan nonetheless he was just a bit worried about showing to much out of character of the original Shao Cheng but when he glanced on the glittering and exciting peach blossom grey eyes.

Well, he couldn't help but feel resign that he was being soft to this man then Shao Cheng could only surrender since he rather prefers Ren Yuan being happy.

"Let's go."

So with that, Shao Cheng and Ren Yuan has finally left the tiny river and has traveled to the hideout with prey on their hands.

"Pssttt…. What is the weird atmosphere? Isn't that the person that Yu Qin has spoken about being our reinforcement? So why does our Leader look so gloomy while giving a resentful glare to the other Leader of the new group that has arrive?"

In a great distance, a soldier asked the person sitting next to him while warily eyeing at the five people sitting together from afar.

"It seemed that the leader is a close friend of Young Master Cheng. And as you can see, that man was able to get close and even touch our Leader younger brother without any difficulty so he is being irritable right now."

"Oh… so Leader was just being jealous huh? Alright, I'll go back to what I have been doing. How about you?"

"Oh, I'll continue watching. It's rare to see our Leader become entertaining this way."

And so, just like the other people around them, the soldiers secretly watch the situation of their Leader well-known brother complex side to the third son of the Shao Family.

"... so… why is she with you?"

"She secretly followed me… I hate to admit it, but she's good at her stalking skill when she put her mind into it."

Shao Cheng has almost let out a long-suffering sigh of exasperated as his cousin Xixi basically gush out while sighing in a dreamy manner as she gazes at them with that weird glittering look on her eyes.

And when he gazes at his older brother that has been glaring dagger to Ren Yuan the entire time after the introduction was over, at least Shao Yan can control his personal problem and was reasonable enough to stop creating any conflict between them.

Although, Shao Cheng still inwardly raising his eyebrow every time that his older brother practically lit up every time he glances his way and wonders why he was reacting so weird right now.

He is quite sure that Ren Yuan's rather annoying self has probably the cause of his older brother having no good impression on the older man, nevertheless, Shao Cheng opens his mouth to make the atmosphere a bit more normal.

However, Shao Cheng stopped when he practically heard the unbelievable spoiled sound on Ren Yuan's voice along with the slight pull on his black long sleeves, causing him to turn around sideways and meeting the peach blossom grey eyes that brim with…. Is that attention he is seeing from him?

"Cheng~ I'm hungry. Your promise, don't forget it!"

Shao Cheng has basically given up pondering about why Ren Yuan is behaving like this right now and only just regarding it as just him being his usual unpredictable self, yet, he couldn't help but glance to his older brother when he heard the rather frustrated voice from him.

"The food will be done soon."

Don't bother Cheng is what the hidden meaning behind Shao Yan words in which Ren Yuan was able to easily understand, in which he responded with a raise of his eyebrow in a challenging manner before shamelessly sticking a bit more closer to the young man body causing Shao Yan to grit his teeth.

"Yan stop it."

Xixi has seen the way that her cousin seemed to be unable to hold it anymore and getting ready on starting a fight to the tempting young man, has only shaken her head before swiftly gripping her cousin's ear and twisting it in a painful manner that causes a vexatious cry of discomfort to be let out.

"Xixi! Stop treating me like this!"

"Behave then, or else I'll spank your shiny butt right before everyone eyes to witness at this instance."

Shao Yan has instantly shut his mouth and grudgingly become obedient when he heard the threat that his cousin has spoken, he still remembers the humiliation he experiences in his teenage years when he was a bit rebellious and was stupid enough to go against the most insane cousin of his entire relatives.

While Yu Qin that has been eyeing in a skeptical way to Ren Yuan the entire time has also tried to keep the atmosphere in a much friendlier mood while wincing at the pain on his stomach after receiving that punch from his Leader and also his childhood friend for years now.

"Ren… just…can you please behave yourself nicely?"

And why are you being so clingy to Shao Yan's younger brother? When did the two of you even become friends? Or more likely how did you even manage to get close to the young master known for his coldness, indifference, and basically uncaring attitude to other people?

Besides that though, I don't remember you acting like this to another person before! That childish actions… spoiling look… and rather he says it, a possessiveness of attention to another person… It was something that Yu Qin is only witnessing for the first time of knowing Ren Yuan.

Basically, so completely different from the Ren Yuan that he knows, because even Yu Qin can see that his complicated acquaintance treat Shao Cheng so different in a rather abnormal attached manner. 

He is not the usual Ren Yuan that is ruthlessly indifferent to other people behind that regularly mask on his face in which he was known for in their inner group.

How though? That was the most important question, but then, the flash of the young man's breathtaking smile that even manages to stun them in a dazed manner appear on Yu Qin's mind, making him to quickly shoot a weird look to Ren Yuan before glancing at the abnormal reactions of the woman before them.

Ren… were you… captivated by Shao Cheng smile? You have fallen? And Yu Qin has believed that it was impossible for this man to feel such a thing to another person...

Unbeknown to the weird thought of Yu Qin, Ren Yuan's entire attention was focus on the young man that has acknowledged his words in which he gave a winning smile to the seething man that has introduced himself as Shao Yan.

What is wrong with these two men?

Shao Cheng inwardly shaking his head at the antics of Shao Yan and Ren Yuan before standing up to cook the food that he has promised and has left them to handle themselves, after all, he has already given up on making the two of them have a rather nice impression with each other.

Since its hopeless, Shao Cheng will just abort the task he planned from the start, one way or another, the two of them will get along, or he will just become stubborn and continue having an association with the supposed bad Ren Yuan despite his family objection.

Because even if he is going to be called terrible and cruel but between Ren Yuan and Shao Family, Shao Cheng already knows which one will he choose first.

"Brother Yan, I'll go cook and I'll also let you have a taste of it."

Shao Cheng still acknowledged that he should not keep giving so much extraordinary special attitude to Ren Yuan so openly, or he might hurt his older brother's feelings.

It seemed that having more people in his life cause Shao Cheng to worry and consider more on watching out of unconsciously hurting the people that care about him with his actions.

Seeing that the young man has left, Ren Yuan couldn't help but murmur those words in a questioning manner while feeling entirely uncomfortable that someone else has gotten the title of a Brother from Whitey, somehow, he felt extremely disappointed since Ren Yuan thought that he was a bit more special.

He doesn't really want to share Whitey's attention in that part...its great if he is the only one that is going to be treated as Big Brother from him.

While Shao Yan chest practically puffs up as he let out a loud snort before proudly proclaiming his right to be called as a Brother.

"Of course! Cheng is my Third Brother! So, I'm his Brother Yan! After all, we are real brothers!"

We have the same blood running on our veins! Which means that we are closer than you who is only his friend!

Ren Yuan showed an absolutely surprise expression after hearing those words causing Yu Qin and Shao Yan to become confused at the reaction that they have gotten.

While only Xixi seemed to have figured out and remembered that Shao Cheng hasn't spoken about his family name yet so Ren Yuan didn't have any idea that Shao Yan was her cousin's older brother even after their introduction before.

Suddenly, Ren Yuan has stood up and with a thick face has shamelessly shown a bright smiling face and acting in a friendly manner after finally figuring out everything.

"Oh! I see! You are Little Cheng real Brother huh? Ok, I got it! By the way, Brother Yan! I'm Ren Yuan! Cheng Cheng usually calls me Big Brother Yu Yu and his first-ever friend! Please take care of me from now on Brother Yan!"

"..."

Shao Yan and Yu Qin that has figured out that the young man didn't have any idea of Shao Yan and Shao Cheng being real brother can only remain speechless, while Xixi let out a crazy delightful laugh and Shao Cheng that can hear the sudden loud commotion in the distance has just ignored them for his peace of mind.

"... Damn, I like your brazen style! I'm so blessed to have an alluring younger brother like you!"
