Chapter 60: I Really Haven't Seen A Scene Like This Before
On the sea to their east, a dark figure was rapidly swimming toward them.
Moments later, a young female from the Aquatic Dagons, dressed in a blue swimsuit and appearing to be in her early twenties, emerged onto the beach in front of them. She quickly rushed toward where Eriri and the others were standing.
This woman had the same emerald green hair as Myu and a beautiful face that resembled what Myu might look like when she grew up. It was clear that she was Myu's biological mother, Remia.
"Mommy!"
"Myu!"
Seeing Remia, Eriri put Myu down, and Myu immediately ran toward her. As she approached, Myu pushed off the ground with her feet and leaped directly into her mother's arms.
Clinging to Remia's chest, Myu, pretending to be a little adult, playfully said, "Mommy, don't get lost again, okay? I've been looking for you for a long time."
"Yes, yes, it was Mommy's fault. I won't leave your side ever again," Remia tightly hugged Myu's small body, wiping away the tears that welled up in her eyes.
When Remia had discovered that Myu was missing from her sight, she had been terrified. Although the Aquatic Dagons were under the protection of the Heiligh Kingdom, there were still criminals who tried to kidnap Aquatic Dagons children. Cases of missing children occurred occasionally, so now that she was holding her daughter again, Remia finally felt at ease.
Remembering Eriri and Arifureta behind her, Myu quickly lifted her head from Remia's embrace and excitedly said, "Mommy, I just met two wonderful big sisters. Let me introduce you to them."
With that, Myu jumped down from Remia's arms, pulling her by the hand over to Eriri and Arifureta. "Mommy, this is Eriri-neechan, and this is Arifureta-neechan."
Earlier, Remia's attention had been focused entirely on Myu, and she hadn't noticed Eriri and Arifureta. But now, upon seeing Eriri's appearance, Remia reacted just as others had—she froze on the spot, completely stunned by Eriri's beauty.
After a moment, Remia recovered and, with a gentle smile, said, "Hello, I'm Myu's mother, Remia. Thank you for keeping Myu company."
"It's nothing. We adore Myu," Eriri replied.
Remia covered her mouth with her hand and chuckled softly, "Hehe, it seems Myu is quite charming to even be liked by such beautiful girls as you."
"Of course, Myu is very adorable," Eriri responded with a smile, then turned serious as she addressed Remia, "Miss Remia, you should take better care of Myu. If something were to happen, it would be too late for regrets."
Eriri's words caused Remia's expression to turn solemn. "I will. It was my fault this time. I won't let Myu out of my sight again."
"Since Myu is back with you, it's time for us to leave."
Upon hearing this, Myu was startled. "Eh? Eriri-neechan, are you leaving? Won't you stay and play with Myu?"
Remia also chimed in, "Yes, why don't you two stay at our home? It's just Myu and me, and our house is quite spacious. You can rest there if you're tired from playing."
Eriri's expression became slightly awkward. "Ah, um... No need, we still have other places to visit."
"I see..." Hearing Eriri's response, Remia didn't insist further, understanding that it wouldn't be right to delay them.
Seeing Myu's downcast expression, Eriri gently picked her up. "Myu, Arifureta and I have other things to take care of, so we can't stay and play. But we'll come back to see you when we get the chance."
"Okay, it's a promise, Eriri-neechan, Arifureta-neechan. Be safe on your journey."
"Alright."
Eriri put Myu down, and then she and Arifureta both patted Myu on the head before taking off into the sky, flying back in the direction they had come from. Soon, they were out of sight.
"Kashiwagi Eri: The trip to the Coastal City of Erisen is officially over. On to the next destination."
"Chika Fujiwara: Eriri, did you deal with the kidnappers?"
"Kashiwagi Eri: Of course. Want to see? It's a pretty gruesome scene."
"Chika Fujiwara: Gruesome? Who do you think you're talking to? I'm Chika Fujiwara—there's nothing I haven't seen. I won't be scared."
"Kashiwagi Eri: Okay, you said it. Don't blame me later."
[Ding, Kashiwagi Eri has uploaded the memory clip 'The Fate of the Kidnappers']
In the first-year class B of Shuchi'in Academy, Chika Fujiwara, who had been eagerly waiting for Eriri to upload the memory, couldn't resist opening it immediately. At first, when the group of kidnappers appeared, she didn't react much, but when the first kidnapper was cut in half, she involuntarily screamed, and her face turned pale.
Watching a memory clip is nothing like watching a movie. It's as if you're experiencing it firsthand, observing everything as a bystander.
Moreover, Chika had never watched a gory movie before. Seeing such a horrifying scene up close, it's surprising she didn't wet herself then and there.
Chika Fujiwara's scream immediately drew the attention of all her classmates and the teacher.
The middle-aged female teacher at the podium looked at Fujiwara with concern and said, "Fujiwara-san, are you alright? You look pale. Do you need to go to the nurse's office?"
"Ah, I'm fine. I'll be okay in a little while. Thank you for your concern, Sensei. Please continue with the lesson."
She quickly shut off the memory clip still playing in her mind and opened the chat window.
"Chika Fujiwara: Ah... Help! I've never seen anything like that before! Scared.jpg"
"Flower Hashira: It's not that bad. Demons are much more brutal."
"Iron-Blooded Hot-Blooded Cold-Blooded Vampire: Haha, small stuff, small stuff."
"Arche Eeb Rile Furt: I've seen things like that before, but it's still unsettling."
"Chika Fujiwara: That scene is stuck in my head now. I can't focus on class at all. Eriri, how are you going to make this up to me?"
"Kashiwagi Eri: I won't make it up to you, but I might keep you company. Besides, you wanted to see it, and I warned you not to blame me."
"Chika Fujiwara: Ugh... I regret it. I probably won't be able to eat for days."
"Arifureta (Group Leader): Perfect! Take this opportunity to lose some weight and reduce that shameless chest of yours."
"Arche Eeb Rile Furt: Agreed!"
"Ashen Witch: Agreed!"
"Archangel Gabriel: Agreed!"
"Chika Fujiwara: You guys... Damn it!"
