The Strongest Quirk in My Hero Academia

Chapter 58: Chapter 53

During this time, Akira allowed Inoue Ying to stay at his place. He was worried about her safety, especially after the fire incident. It wasn't just an accident; the locked door and the arsonist's quirk confirmed it was deliberate.

Akira realized that Ying wasn't the true target—it was him. This was a test, a warning. Had the arsonist been serious, Ying wouldn't have survived.

The thought angered Akira. Villains were becoming bolder, blatantly defying the law. This wasn't just about a personal attack—it was a challenge to the system itself.

### Meeting with Midoriya

"Midoriya…"

"Akira-san? I didn't expect you to call me!" Midoriya's excitement was clear over the phone.

"Don't get too excited. I want to take you somewhere that might help you grow, but it's not a pleasant place. It's violent and dangerous. You can decide if you want to go or not."

Midoriya paused. "Where are you planning to take me?"

"We'll talk in person," Akira replied. They agreed on a meeting spot and ended the call.

Half an hour later, Akira was waiting in a café when Midoriya walked in, smiling and holding his school bag.

"Akira-san!"

Akira handed him a cup of milk tea and smiled. "Sit down. Let's talk."

Midoriya sipped his drink. "This is the first time you've invited me out. Is something wrong?"

Akira leaned in. "Have you heard of underground heroes?"

Midoriya shook his head, looking puzzled.

"They operate in the shadows, far from the public eye. The place I want to show you is connected to them. It's dangerous but full of opportunities. It's where the rules don't apply. People fight in underground arenas—illegal matches, known as black boxing."

Midoriya was shocked. "Illegal? And you want me to go there?"

"It's a harsh environment," Akira admitted. "But it will teach you things no classroom ever can. You'll face real opponents, push your limits, and come out stronger. I'll be there to protect you. Trust me, Midoriya. This is what you need."

Midoriya hesitated. The Villain Alliance incident had left him shaken. He was still recovering, and now Akira was suggesting something even more dangerous.

Akira noticed his hesitation and added, "Do you want to become stronger?"

"Yes!" Midoriya said without a second thought.

Akira smiled. "Then follow me. This will be tough, but I promise, it'll be worth it."

Midoriya seemed to wrestle with his decision, but eventually, he nodded. "Alright, Akira-san. I trust you."

On the way, Akira explained more about underground heroes. Midoriya listened in awe, learning about a side of heroism he hadn't imagined.

When they reached their destination, Akira pulled Midoriya aside.

"Before we go further, I need you to promise me something," Akira said, lowering his voice.

"What is it?"

"Keep this a secret," Akira said. "One of the underground heroes is an ally of mine. His name is Eraser Night. He'll guide and protect you in this world."

"Eraser Night?" Midoriya's eyes widened. "You mean the hero who works in the shadows?"

"That's right," Akira confirmed. "He's a trusted friend. With his help, you'll gain the skills you need to face any challenge."

Midoriya nodded firmly. "I understand. I'll do my best, Akira-san."

Akira patted him on the shoulder. "Good. Let's get started."
