The Villainous Noble Who Kept Rewinding After Death: The Story Somehow Changed When I Committed Suicide

Chapter 55: The Fool’s Fate

As the harem party entered the Monster House, I immediately gave instructions to Fiera.

“Fiera. I’m going to synchronize my magic power with the dungeon’s magical energy. During that time, I won’t be able to respond to any enemies coming, so please protect me.”

“…Got it.”

Upon hearing that, Fiera seemed a bit surprised, but then her expression changed to one filled with unusual motivation, and she nodded.

After confirming that Fiera was on high alert behind me, I touched the dungeon wall, closed my eyes, and concentrated.

Normally, the doors to the Monster House within the dungeon won’t open until someone inside either dies or clears the room.

Therefore, even if those idiots are struggling and on the brink of death inside that room, we can’t go help them as per our plan.

However, there’s actually one technique—though not widely known—that allows us to open a closed door from the outside.

The dungeon is a space created using magic power by the dungeon core, with magic power flowing through each wall.

In other words, by flowing my own magic power into the dungeon and manipulating it precisely, I can temporarily align it with the dungeon’s unique wavelength and seize authority from the dungeon core.

The key point here is “temporarily.” It lasts only a mere minute. That’s how long I can steal authority from the dungeon.

The reason is that if I do seize authority from the dungeon, the dungeon core will recognize it as an emergency and immediately change the magical wavelength to counter it.

However, since the dungeon core must change all wavelengths within the dungeon when it does, that’s why the time limit is one minute.

Once the dungeon core senses the emergency, it will send a large number of monsters to eliminate the foreign object.

To hold them off, I’m going to need Fiera to step up this time.

(Sure enough, it’s an A-rank dungeon. The magical density is insane. The flow of magic power is way too intricate.)

As I concentrated further, I felt as if I had plunged into a sea of magic power.

Adjusting my own magic little by little, I sank deeper and deeper into the magic ocean, and after about 15 minutes, I was finally able to seize authority from the dungeon core.

“Fiera! Let’s go!”

“Mm.”

Fiera, having sensed the anomaly, punched the monsters sent by the dungeon core and followed me into the door.

“Hey, Fiera.”

“What?”

“Why are we going through all this trouble to deal with those guys?”

“…”

While we had been acting emotionally up to now, it made me think—why are we bothering to do something so pointless for them?

“…Well, whatever. For now, let’s go check on the fools who are about to get eaten over there.”

“Mm.”

With that, I looked at the fools surrounded by sirens, and just imagining what was about to happen filled me with joy, making me grin naturally.

“Hey there! The hero has come to save you!”

Thus began the time for Lewis to train the fools.

Once we entered the room, we approached the sirens as though nothing were amiss.

The four idiots seemed surprised at our arrival, staring at us blankly, while the sirens appeared bewildered by the impossible scenario of humans entering from the outside.

However, being monsters, they quickly determined that we were foes and launched attacks on us.

“Are you stupid? A siren alone can’t defeat us!”

Sirens are generally support-type monsters. If they charge at us head-on, it’s only natural for them to get cut down by me and Fiera.

Once the two sirens were defeated, three mermen joined the fray, and the buffed mermen, having received assistance from the sirens, posed with weapons to attack.

But these monsters, whom we had faced countless times before, were just mere fodder to us now.

“Fiera. I’ll take care of the mermen. You finish off the remaining sirens.”

“Understood.”

As I moved in first to engage the mermen, I swiftly decapitated one.

Taking advantage of that moment, Fiera approached the remaining sirens and sliced them in half with her hand.

The idiots on the ground seemed relieved, thinking they were saved, but the Monster House wasn’t going to be that easy.

Then, more monsters appeared—from sharks and turtles to spirit-type creatures like kelpies.

But none of them were our enemies, and as we killed every enemy that emerged, a blue minotaur made its entrance as the final foe.

“Looks like he’s the last one. Fiera, come back.”

“Mm.”

When I called out, Fiera, who had been guarding the idiots, returned to my side.

Our current positioning had us at the entrance, the four idiots in the middle of the room, with the minotaur standing beyond them.

The men seemed flustered by the situation, glancing back and forth between us and the minotaur, and to my surprise, they started shouting at us.

“Hey! Take him down already!”

“Yeah! Hurry up and save us!”

“Get on with it!”

“You said you hate waste! Hurry up!”

I thought they were begging for help, but I was momentarily dumbfounded by their unexpected attitude, only to burst out laughing at how ridiculous it was.

“Ahahaha! You can still say that in this situation? That’s seriously funny! Hahaha!”

“Bumooooooo!!”

Perhaps irritated that we weren’t attacking, or maybe it understood it was being laughed at, the minotaur let out a loud bellow and readied its massive axe.

“Shut up. Just be quiet, you cow.”

“B-bumo…”

This minotaur seemed to possess some intelligence; when I glared at it with enough killing intent, it immediately quieted down.

“Since you made me laugh, I’ll give you all a chance.”

I said this as I gave them a light wave of my hand.

Then, the guys who had been battered mere moments ago appeared completely healed as if nothing had happened.

“Now you’re going to fight him.”

“…Huh?”

“Didn’t you hear? I said fight.”

“Why do we have to…”

“You all can win, right? You said that when you came in. Or is it that you can’t? Were you just talk?”

“Tch! Don’t get cocky, you punk! I’ll take him down! And after that, I’ll kill you too!”

Having said that, the man pulled a spare sword from his bag and took his stance.

The others, probably feeling insulted that I had mocked them, picked up their weapons and faced the minotaur.

And thus, the fierce battle began between the men and the minotaur.

…Without any semblance of reason, the man failed to land even a scratch on the minotaur’s skin and was blown away by its axe, while magic and arrows felt less than a mere bug bite and went unnoticed, as the scout’s sneak attack was completely squashed by the minotaur’s muscles.

And now, the four idiots were once again happily rolling on the ground.

“Damn it! Why! Why can’t I use my strength like before!”

“Why is my magic power depleting so fast!”

Seeing the men confused that they couldn’t muster the strength they had before, I decided to reveal the punchline.

“Hey. When did you feel stronger than before?”

“Huh? It was when we fought the boss at the tenth floor. Just shut up and let us fight!”

“Hehe. You know what? It’s because I gave you buffs.”

“…Huh?”

“Muscle enhancement for you, the swordsman; magic power increase and damage boost for the female mage; damage boost for the archer; and enhanced detection and speed for the scout.”

Realizing what I meant by the buff effects, the men stared at me in silence.

“How about it? You should’ve had a good time, right?”

I said with a smile, and the men began glaring at me with eyes filled with hatred.

“I’ll kill you… I’ll definitely kill you!”

“Fufufu. Ahahaha! You think you can kill me? You lot? Ahahahaha! …Ha. You’d better save the bedtime stories for sleep. You can’t kill me.”

After laughing heartily at the man’s words, I returned a serious response.

Then, as I slowly walked towards the men while emanating thick killing intent, I crouched down before one of them and grabbed their hair.

“You have mistaken the person you’ve picked a fight with. I buy every fight offered to me. And I won’t hold back in showing the difference in our standing. Do you know why? Because if I show mercy, the one I showed mercy to might stab me in the back, right? I’d get dragged into a troublesome situation later? That’s why I won’t show mercy. I’ll crush every enemy that picks a fight with me.”

With that, I released my grip on his hair, severed his dominant arm, and sliced the tendons in the arms of the archer and the legs of the scout, one by one. Finally, I interfered with and destroyed the magical circuits of all of them.

“Gwaaaaaaa!!”

The men screamed in agony, but I cauterized the severed arm to stop the bleeding and directed Fiera, who was some distance away.

“Fiera. Take him out.”

“Mm.”

As I signaled to Fiera, she finished off the minotaur that had been unable to move due to my killing intent, and retrieved the items from the treasure chest that had appeared in the center of the room.

“Hope you manage to crawl out of here alive.”

With those final words, I stepped out through the door that opened as we cleared the room.

As for what happened afterward, Rigur and the others who barely managed to escape from the dungeon were reported to be nearly on the brink of death.

Rigur’s arm was beyond recovery, and while Helen and Giselle’s muscle tendons might heal, their functionality was still in question.

And the most severe case was the magical circuits, which no one could repair.

Other adventurers and guild officials tried to inquire about what had happened, but whether it was due to the sirens’ mental attacks or something truly horrifying occurring, as soon as they attempted to ask, they went mad, and so were unable to provide any details.

In the end, they wouldn’t be able to continue their lives as adventurers, destined instead to spend their days in a psychiatric ward.
