The Wandering Last Boss

Chapter 7: Bandit Leader

When a group of players took on a quest to defeat a group of bandits, they were pretty confident that they could take them. They knew the risks but were confident with their level and training. All of them were around rank 40 to 68, meaning they were pretty powerful. With twelve members in their party known as Ferrow's Blade, an inside joke for them, they went on their way. When they arrived at the path where the latest bandit patrol was spotted, they instantly found a small group of them. The bandits, while tough and experienced, were no match against the players. They spared only one of them if they told them where his base was. Of course, he agreed. Who wouldn't?

"Is it just me or was this easier than expected? Why are there no other bandit patrols?"

The question brought worry to the players' minds. They were not like other players. They were terrible fighters at the beginning. They got this far because they weren't overconfident. Even now, they made sure they were totally prepared to fight the bandits before going after them. While they know that this is still a game, it is a game they can't leave. This game is also much more...realistic and darker. If you got captured and raped, you would feel it all. If you were tortured, while the pain won't be as great as in real life, it would still hurt and be pretty traumatic. So getting defeated by the bandits was the last thing on their mind.

One of the players grabbed the bandit roughly and lifted him into the air.

"If you are leading us to a trap, I will give you a painful death," the player growled, and he meant it too. He had an accident in the past that resulted in a mental scar. He was one of the players that wanted out of this world as soon as possible. There was currently a debate going on about how they could lave this game. Many of them think if they complete the story and beat the final boss that they would be able to leave. The problem with that theory is that the storyline, if they can ever find it, is extremely hard to follow and there is no clear evil in the world. No demon lord or Evil God that wants to destroy the world. Nothing of the sort.

"I-I s-swear I don't know anything. P-please d-don't kill me." The bandit weekly said, sweat pouring down his face. The player let him down with a huff.

"Well continue walking. At the first sign of danger, we run."

The bandit couldn't help but think low of the so-called brave adventures everyone praises. Well, he could also see where they are coming from. Most of them were attractive females and they knew what would happen to them if they get captured by the bandits.

However, when the players finally reached the camp, which was more of a crude wooden fort, the place was totally unguarded. The players, after a brief look at each other, went into the camp. They already had their weapons drawn so they were ready for any threat...or so they thought. They made their way up the slope but stopped when they heard singing. Before they could do anything, something heavy landed behind them. The players spun around to see two inhuman glowing blue and golden yellow eyes through the dust cloud. Above the eyes was an orange healthbar. When the dust cleared, a strange girl was in front of them, only this girl was a boss...and a legendary world raid boss at that. Something the players have no chance of beating. They all knew that even if she had an orange healthbar, she probably had some horrible trick up her sleeve that made her a world raid boss in the first place.

The worse was yet to come. A bright blue light flashed behind her and out came about seventy bandits, all armed and all around level eighty. Some of the players dropped their weapons. Even the ones that didn't lowered them slightly. They knew they had no chance of winning or even escaping now.

Elsaline took it all in before standing on her two legs and put her oversized hands on her hips and,

"Mwu ah hah hah hah! Foolish Fools! You've entered the wrong fort!"

....

........

..........

....Elsaline talked like a cheesy villain in a kids anime. Even the bandits behind her were embarrassed.

"Now, I shall give you two choices. Become my subordinates by blood pact or die...hey, that's pretty good, right?" Elsaline turned and asked the highest leveled bandit, a guy with a black eyepatch over his left eye and a scruffy black mustache. The bandit leader? looked confused before nodding. Elsaline beamed at him and let out a giggle.

"Thank you!"

Elsaline then turned around to face the players, a smile still on her face as always. She cocked her head and narrowed her eyes, a dangerous glint in them

"So...what shall it be?"

Despite the cheery tune in her voice, there was clear malice in those words. There was no room for negotiations. Only a simple choice. Live or die. The players all chose the first option.

"Oh good! Then follow me to my tent and we'll get you situated. Oh. You," Elsaline pointed at the bandit the players had captured, "your group was taken over by me so I'm your new boss now....unless you have something to say otherwise?"

The bandit quickly shook his head. Elsaline gave him a thumbs up and went back to sitting on all fours.

"Okay, you follow the players into my tent. I have big plans and I can tell we're going to have so much fun!"

Now one might be wondering what is happening here. Well, the answer is rather simple. Elsaline and Rose decided on a mission, or more of Elsaline discovered a strange new energy source that might help her case. However, if she were to rush in blazing, the enemies might destroy it. Rose learned that the people holding the energy were her enemies so she gave Elsaline the idea of raiding the illegal auction with bandits. The people there are more likely to fight bandits than if she brings soldiers. So Elsaline and Rose found a large group of bandits and Elsaline promptly...cough cough, accidentally killed one hundred of them before they all gave up, especially after their leader realized he stood no chance against her.

After a bit, Elsaline got the bright idea to give away their location so adventures would come and she can force them to work for her. So for it was looking great! Now all she has to do is wait a couple, four she thinks, days and she'll be one step closer to getting her connection back. What could possibly go wrong with her and Rose's plan?

Sorry for the late and short chapter. I have been busy with other things in real life. LoL. Expect another chapter soon...hopefully.
