Time Effect ( A Mass Effect Fanfiction)

WITH SAREN
 
' FUCK! ANOTHER DEAD END!'
 
Ever since receiving the file from the Shadow Broker, the one with a rumor about Prothean Beacons, I went on a hunt.
 
I spent a lot of time going after those rumors, sometimes going personally and others sending subordinates, but nothing bore fruit. Basically, all of them were literally rumors.
 
No Beacon on Earth, Tuchanka, Akuze, nor Eden Prime. All I did was waste my efforts on this.
 
I sighed as I looked at the last location. Thessia.
 
There were rumors about it before, but the Asari did its best to silence them. It also made sense, the existence of a Beacon would allow the Asari to stay at the top of the galaxy. It was also the reason I left this place for last... as it was literally going to be my last choice.

The chances of exiting a Beacon there were close to 70%. But, the problem remained the same. At the end of the day, it could still be a Rumor and I would risk it all by checking it.
 
Without a real reason, it would be suspicious. And, it seems people were already on the edge with me...
 
So, I had no choice but to talk with Sovereign about it. Maybe he has some kind of plan about it.

MINUTES LATER
 
'' We will attack the planet.'' The Reaper dropped a bomb without giving me time to prepare.
 
'' ... What?''
 
'' We've been hiding for too long. The others know about our existence and they will inevitably start to prepare. Of course, it will be futile but I want to show them our might. We will attack Thessia, to showcase our strength and to grab the Beacon.''
 
'' And if we don't we-''
 
'' We would still deal damage to the so-called leaders of this cycle.'' The Reaper clearly made up his mind already and nothing I said would change that, '' There's a Beacon there, no doubt about it. Prepare the Geth. We will attack Thessia... And prepare yourself for another session of enhancements.''
 
I trembled. This was worse than I thought ... but I had no choice.
 
'' I will do so.''
 
With a heavy heart, I left the place and went to prepare for the invasion. It would not be instant, as the Asari were too powerful to attack without full preparations.
 
So, it would take at least a month or two to prepare.
 
But, when we attack ... the galaxy will retaliate.
 
I just hope what I'm doing is right.

AN: Why Saren didn't find the Beacon on Eden Prime, when Samael never took it out of the planet? How could Sovereign be so sure there's a Prothean Beacon at Thessia, when it was supposed to be just a rumor?
