Transmigrated into a Noble’s beaten son

Chapter 149

It had already been weeks since the triumphant victory against the invasion of Lucile. The news had spread far and wide, making the allied nations celebrate.

Likewise, since the sea king Leviathan’s defeat, uproar erupted among all hailing the might of Awdita, the Kingdom of Elves.

Songs were made to honor the glory of the valiant elven knights and adventurers who participated in the battle. Praises were thrown especially towards Queen Selve D’ialim and her cousin, the Green Witch, Duchess Fle Mistaya.

Yet for the queen, the duchess, and all within the elven nation, all honor they bestowed upon the duo, Naell and Owly who made their triumph possible.

None of the elves present at that time could forget how strong Leviathan was, or even how formidable the pieces of Lucille are.

Even the awakened monsters who tried to ambush the reinforcements had left an impact on them. The battle would have been prolonged If it weren't for the early warning they got from Sead and the adventurers who escaped.,

And since the green witch was leading the army, under her command, the remaining monsters were all defeated.

Nevertheless, all that transpired was likely to haunt their memories from then on. Even as weeks had already passed, just remembering the berserk of Leviathan who in the last moments proved to be hard to defeat, weighed on everyone’s mind.

It even took Fle Mistaya by surprise as she thought her magic would surely hold the sea king. Yet who would have thought it could still pounce, decimating several of the branches that extended from the Tree of Life.

Caught off guard, Fle Mistaya was unable to respond to the sudden speed, and had not anticipated the sea king’s next move.

Sure enough, Leviathan targeted her, launching himself in her direction. His vicious aura rushed to devour anything in his path. It was as if the power exuded by the Tree of Life challenged him and made him desire nothing but their utter defeat.

Luckily, Naell who was used to Leviathan’s erratic movement, was able to respond. He uses his remaining stamina to make a giant snow crystal to parry the chaotic aura of the rampaging sea king.

That lasted for a whole a minute before Leviathan was pushed back, when all else failed, he then berserked and pounced once more, only this time towards everyone within reach. He roared and vehemently declared that he would take many before he was defeated.

And sure enough, none expected that the army of elves who fought alongside Fle Mistaya at its core needed half an hour to finally subdue Leviathan.

If it weren’t for the help of Owly strengthening the green witch’s magic, it is likely they would take even more time before all of them could even breath a sigh of relief.

“How exhausting…”

At that moment, Selve and Fle were having their tea, all the while sighing from the memory. The awarding ceremony had just ended. It was to recognize the people who fought during the fierce battle.

The elven knights who were present from the very beginning of the war were all promoted and adventurer Sead was also assigned as one of the cabinet members, the minister in the forthcoming explorations of the sea.

Even all the awardees were also heavily sighing, as the duo who should have received the highest honor were already miles away from Awdita.

“They could have stayed for one more day…” Sead said, earning him nods from the elven knights.

On the other hand, the queen and the duchess smiled wryly, as they may or may not have been the ones who drove the duo away.

They recalled how after recuperating in the castle, the queen and the duchess urged the duo to partake in the ceremony as the main heroes of the war.

They argued that sooner or later, Owly would have to declare that he was more than just a “beast companion” but was actually one of the pupils of the Guardians of Mundo. As for Naell, they pleaded that such achievements should be normal to him already.

Yet both the duo declined as Naell truly infected Owly with his fear of being known.

Nevertheless, news of Owly also spread, especially in Awdita. Since the duo at the moment couldn’t really hide it, they simply went silent, neither confirming nor denying if the young owl was actually an awakened one or a descendant of the Guardian of Wisdom.

Luckily for them, the outcome of Leviathan’s loss was more important as it meant that the vast ocean of Mundo had become tranquil.

That resulted in more accessible pathways to the sea and expeditions that have been impossible with Leviathan’s presence.

Now in his absence, some kingdoms were even planning on voyaging to the center of the sea.

A location that has been rumored to be either the place of the demon king, a rich unconquered land, or the burial place of the legendary Pegasus.

Nonetheless, it would still take them months to actually make it work as the ocean was still, after all, a dangerous place filled with monsters and grave treacherous weather.

Despite this, some were still occupied in celebrating the victory of the kingdom of Awdita. Especially the two elven cousins, the queen and the green witch who could not help but giggle. They afterall had failed to mention to their people (deliberately) not to spread what had really happened.

And so since Naell and Owly didn’t “technically” say the knights and adventurers who were with them could not share the truth, the queen used that loophole making the duo’s achievement discreetly known far and wide.

“It’s not like they could come back to complain now since they are on their way to the south.” Said Selve. To which Fle Mistaya took a cheeky knowing sip in response.
