Chapter 52: Dealing With Choi II-Kwon
"Did Choi Il-Kwon contact you?" I asked. Jung Da-Jung looked surprised but tried to brush it off. "You don't need to worry about adult matters. I'll take care of it."
I knew she was hiding something. "Be careful with him," I warned. "He's not a good person."
Jung Da-Jung smiled softly. "Okay, I'll be fine. Don't worry about your aunt."
Changing the topic, I said, "I enjoyed watching you on the TV show today. You were amazing." Her face lit up at the compliment.
After a while, she decided to go back home. She said goodbye and walked out of the café. I watched her leave, remembering that in the plot, she was harassed on her way home late at night. I quickly activated my invisibility and followed her.
My instincts proved right. I saw two men, drunk and recognizing her from the news show, approaching her. One of them reached out to grab her wrist. I deactivated my invisibility, rushed towards her, and pulled her behind me.
I grabbed the man's hand and broke it swiftly. He screamed in pain. Jung Da-Jung was shocked by my actions but also felt a sense of relief. "Vlad, that's enough. Let go of them," she pleaded.
The man kept screaming, "Call the police! Someone is going to kill me!"
I looked at him, thinking it was his lucky day not to face worse. Soon, someone actually called the police. Jung Da-Jung looked at me with tears in her eyes, just like her daughter had earlier. I wiped her tears away and reassured her, "Don't worry about me. I'll be totally fine." I took out my phone and called Vladena, asking her to come.
Vladena arrived with the police. The man whose hand I had broken laughed and said, "Police are here! Quickly arrest that person. He's the one who broke my hands!"
The police ignored his pleas and took him and his friends directly to jail. Everyone watched in astonishment. Jung Da-Jung was shocked, and I looked at her, flicking her forehead playfully. "Look what you were worried about. They were begging for me to send them to jail, so I fulfilled their wish."
Vladena smiled, looking at Jung Da-Jung, who seemed both relieved and bewildered. I looked at Vladena and asked " Sister, how come you came with the police " I was really curious how Vladena knew about my situation and how come she had contact with the police.
Vladena smiled at Jung Da-Jung and explained, "Your sister has contacts in high places, even the president pays attention to the company that gave them huge donations. Plus, the police and JBC have a collaborative relationship, so they essentially work for me."
I looked at Vladena, impressed. "You're really awesome."
Jung Da-Jung listened to our conversation, her eyes wide with shock. I turned to her and said to Vladena, "Sister, I'll walk Jung Da-Jung home. It's not safe at night."
Vladena nodded. "Let's go together. I'll come with you."
As we walked towards Jung Da-Jung's home, she told Vladena about the fighting incident at school and my involvement. The conversation flowed naturally, and despite the day's events, the atmosphere felt more relaxed.
Jung Da-Jung glanced at Vladena, expecting her to be angry. After all, it was because of her that Vladena's brother had gotten into these situations.
Vladena looked at Jung Da-Jung and said, "Don't worry about any of that. Didn't you see what happened earlier? Anyone who messes with my brother won't have a good ending."
After sending her home I took Vladena and flew back to the villa and Ok Hye-In was already here. We played our adult games and slept until morning.
In the morning, I took Ok Hye-In to school and saw Hong Shi-Ah standing outside the classroom. I walked over to her and greeted her warmly. The school was abuzz with whispers about yesterday's incident involving me and Goo Ju-Sung.
Soon, Choi Il-Kwon approached our class with other teachers and called me out. Ok Hye-In quickly joined me, standing by my side. Choi Il-Kwon looked at me sternly and said, "Vlad, you should leave the school. We don't accept gangster students here. Goo Ju-Sung's dad will be here soon, and you should apologize to him and beg him not to send you to jail for the rest of your life."
I smiled at Choi Il-Kwon and replied, "Really? We'll see about that."
Ok Hye-In leaned in and whispered, "I've already contacted Vladena. She'll be here soon." Hearing this, I felt happy.
Goo Ju-Sung's dad arrived, his expression furious. He lunged at me, attempting to slap me, but I caught his hand and pushed him back. He noticed the police and demanded, "Arrest that kid! He's the one who harmed my child!"
The police, however, didn't move. Goo Ju-Sung's dad yelled at them, "What are you doing? Quickly arrest him!"
Just then, Vladena walked in with Jung Da-Jung, exuding an air of authority. She stood beside me and declared, "Yes, people will be arrested, but it won't be my brother. It will be you two."
A team of cameras and reporters entered, and Jung Da-Jung stepped in front of the camera to begin a live report looking at Choi II-Kwon. "We have already sent evidence of you accepting bribes," she announced. "Your bar will be closed soon, and you, Goo Ju-Sung's dad, gave a bribe to the teacher to secure your son a place on the basketball team. You will also be sent to jail for harming the future of other students who could have made the team but couldn't because of your actions."
The police quickly moved to arrest them and took them away. As Choi Il-Kwon was being led out, I used my telekinesis to make him fall, breaking his neck instantly.
Soon, the police sent him to the ambulance, where he was declared dead. Hong Shi-Ah came up to me and hugged me tightly in front of Jung Da-Jung. "I was really worried about you," she admitted.
Vladena looked at me with a smile, and Hong Shi-Ah snapped back to her senses, noticing her mom's gaze. Blushing, she said softly, "Mom," and I took the opportunity to introduce her to my sister.
Hong Shi-Ah, still shy, quickly excused herself and left, leaving me alone with Jung Da-Jung and Vladena. I turned to Jung Da-Jung and said reassuringly, "I told you not to worry. Everything will be fine."
