Uchiha Ascendant: Rewriting the Ninja World

Within the Land of Grass, the air was damp and oppressive as countless ninja silhouettes darted swiftly through the dense forest. Suddenly, a glimmer of sunlight pierced through the shadows, revealing an expansive steel-and-concrete bridge ahead.

"That's the Bridge of Heaven and Earth."

Emerging from the gloom, the Konoha ninja gazed at the massive structure. The words Heaven and Earth Bridge were boldly inscribed on its crimson supports.

Beneath the bridge, a deep gorge plunged over a hundred meters, with turbulent waters roaring through the rocky chasm below, sending gusts of wind howling upward.

"Stay alert!"

Jiraiya's stern command snapped the thirty Konoha ninja into heightened vigilance. The group instinctively reached for their weapons, ready for an ambush.

Byakugan, activate!

Without hesitation, the Hyūga clan members activated their Byakugan, their temples bulging with veins as their all-seeing eyes scanned the surroundings.

"I've detected explosive tag traps on the bridge!" warned Hyūga Hizashi urgently. "And in the forest ahead, there are numerous chakra signatures!"

The report was enough to set everyone on edge. Weapons were drawn, and defensive stances taken.

Jiraiya, however, broke the tension with a boisterous laugh. Forming hand seals, he slammed his hands onto the ground.

Summoning Technique!

With a puff of smoke, a colossal toad with crimson skin and black markings appeared. Jiraiya perched confidently on its back, striking a dramatic pose.

"Hahaha! The great toad sage of Mount Myōboku has sniffed you all out!"

His antics earned exasperated looks from his comrades, but the humor was short-lived.

"Position?" barked Uchiha Yo, his tone sharp and focused.

"Ten o'clock direction! Largest concentration of chakra!" Hizashi shouted, pointing toward the forest.

Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!

Yo formed hand seals, releasing a volley of fireballs that rained toward the forest. Simultaneously, the other Konoha ninja unleashed their own techniques, hurling kunai laced with explosive tags into the trees.

"Damn it! We've been discovered!"

"Curse those Hyūga eyes!"

In the face of the sudden assault, shouts of anger and panic echoed from within the forest. The enemy scrambled to dodge or shield themselves from the explosions and flames.

Boom! Boom!

The forest erupted into chaos, trees splintering and flames spreading rapidly. Figures darted out of the inferno, only to be met by Jiraiya's chilling gaze.

"Time to end this," he muttered, completing his hand seals.

Fire Style: Toad Oil Flame Bullet!

With the help of his summoned toad, Jiraiya spewed a scorching mix of oil and fire across the battlefield. The fiery torrent engulfed the fleeing enemy, its intense heat and sticky flames wreaking havoc.

"Retreat!" came the desperate cries of the mercenaries, but their paths were cut off by the coordinated Konoha attack.

"Jiraiya-sama, those are the infamous mercenaries from the Land of Lightning!"

A Konoha jonin identified the enemy. Their dark skin and the word Loot carved into their forehead protectors confirmed their allegiance. Among their ranks were eighty fighters, though only thirty bore the insignia of the infamous mercenary group.

The rest were clearly hired thugs or rogue ninja.

Jiraiya smirked, his tone mocking.

"So, the infamous thugs of Lightning Country brought some amateurs to die with them, huh?"

His words only seemed to provoke the enemy further.

"Kill them all! Take their heads and claim the bounty!"

"These brats are from Konoha's noble clans—big rewards for their corpses!"

"Attack!"

With a roar, the mercenaries surged forward, closing the distance to the bridge.

"Kushina!"

Minato's voice rang out in alarm. Kushina stood frozen, her eyes wide and bloodshot, her body trembling with rage.

"It's them! They're the ones who destroyed my home and slaughtered my family!" she screamed.

Her words sent a chill through the Konoha ninja.

"Be cautious! Reinforcements have been requested!" Jiraiya called out, rallying his troops.

But the enemy mercenaries only sneered at the mention of reinforcements. They knew they had time to strike before backup arrived.

"Kill the Konoha ninja!"

"Leave no one alive!"

The battlefield descended into chaos as both sides clashed.

"Since they're your enemies, let's kill them all!" Yo shouted, his Sharingan activating with a crimson glow. Drawing his sword, he charged into the fray, his movements precise and calculated.

The battlefield erupted with the clash of weapons and the roar of jutsu. For Yo, the world seemed to slow as his Sharingan traced the trajectory of every kunai and shuriken in the air.

"Die!"

Kushina, meanwhile, was overcome with fury. Her voice was guttural, trembling with suppressed emotion.

"Give me back my family!"

Her rage ignited a surge of ominous red chakra. A chill ran through the battlefield as the oppressive energy of the Nine-Tails seeped out, tangible and malevolent.

"Not good!" Jiraiya muttered, his fight momentarily forgotten as he turned to see Kushina enveloped in a menacing crimson aura.

Nearby animals scattered in panic. Birds fled the treetops, and fish thrashed wildly in the river below.

"Kushina's chakra is leaking already?" Jiraiya thought, his brows furrowed in concern.

Kushina's eyes glowed blood-red, her pupils narrowing into slits. Her fangs elongated, and her voice turned guttural as she roared:

"Give me back my family!"

The sheer force of her rage rippled through the forest, creating a shockwave of killing intent.

Yo's Sharingan swirled as he stared at Kushina in awe. This was the power of a jinchūriki—raw, untamed, and terrifying.

For a brief moment, Yo felt a pang of unease. But then his grip on his sword tightened, and his determination returned.

"This is what it means to carry the Nine-Tails," he thought grimly.

The battlefield was alight with chaos, the roar of the Nine-Tails mixing with the screams of enemies and allies alike. The fight for survival had only just begun.
