"I have someone to choose," Norton said and then looked at Miles beside him.
"No!" This decision was immediately opposed by everyone. In their eyes, Miles was just a kid with the Awakening Ability, and fighting against the super villain would only lead to his death.
"Why? Don't you know what will happen to you?" Miles protested, feeling underestimated.
"Don't know what?" Penny asked.
In the next second, except for Miles and the Meiben couple, everyone felt a flicker in their bodies and fell to the ground in pain. The sensation was as if the space was constantly squeezing and tearing at them, draining all their strength. It was certainly not a pleasant feeling.
"You can't stay here; you will die if you stay. Norton is right; I should turn off that damn machine."
"I will wait for you to return before doing anything. I am also one of you." In his heart, Peter in this universe was killed by him, and he felt compelled to do something to atone for the guilt.
The Shadow Spider-Man stood up, crossed his arms, and asked, "Who are you?"
"His name is Miles. He will save the parallel world, and he can become invisible now." Peter came to his favorite disciple and introduced Miles to the Spider-Men, trying to be as persuasive as possible.
"Hmm!" Miles made a sound similar to constipation, but the invisibility was never activated.
"I can't just hide it."
"Though he can't just hide it, it's still cool to show them the electric shock, Miles," Peter tried to cover the embarrassment for himself and Miles.
"Hmm," Miles said with a helpless expression, "I can't come just as I say."
"Did you hear? He can't just come, but he has other skills, like, like what?" Peter was still trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Only these two things."
"Ahaha, only these two things." Peter was smiling, but his confidence had been shaken. "I believe in Miles; he can send us home," Norton maintained his point of view, because only he could.
Except for Miles, all of them had their own universes and families, and the only option left was to wait for death if they stayed. Therefore, it seemed like the best choice for Miles to step up.
"Norton, are you sure? He's still a child."
"Although I am also a child, I have been trained." Gwen and Rosa had doubts about Norton's choice, but they respected his decision.
"I'm pretty sure he's the most critical part."
Shadow Spider-Man was still skeptical. He stepped forward and said, "Well, young man, Kim will send a lot of people to find you. All of them are difficult to deal with, real big guys. Can you handle them all at once?"
"Well, actually, I haven't fought anyone else yet." "Surprise!" The shadow Spider-Man swept Miles to the ground with a swift leg move. "Can you reassemble the motherboard during the fight?" Penny tossed the motherboard to Miles, who was on the ground. "Can you cut off your humanity and not feel guilty for your violent behavior?" The shadow Spider-Man continued to approach, questioning Miles. "Can you help Aunt Mei and Uncle Ben decide on some tourist attractions?" Aunt Mei interjected at this moment. "Are you strong enough?" "Are you ruthless enough?" "Is it self-disciplined enough?" "As Spider-Man, can you stand up again when you fall down?" Peter tried to dissuade them from their verbal attacks, feeling for Miles, the kid who had just become Spider-Man.
After everyone finished speaking, they surrounded Norton, planning to convince him not to take Miles. The shadow Spider-Man said, "My buddy, you can't deceive yourself like this, he's not ready yet, it's too obvious." "It won't work, he's just a kid. We have to stay and complete the task for him." "Look at his appearance... hmmm?" "Miles?" they called out, noticing that Miles had disappeared, having taken the elevator back to the ground while invisible. "See, he's really invisible."
The weather outside brightened as Norton stood alone at the door, waiting for Miles. After a few hours, Miles's hurried figure appeared in Norton's sight. "Norton, my uncle! My uncle is a prowler! He works for Jin and he wants to kill me!" Miles breathlessly explained all he had learned. "Calm down, Miles, is someone following you?" "I don't think... probably not." But in the next second, Norton's keen Spider Telepathy reacted. He suddenly pushed Miles away, and an explosion erupted where they had stood. Norton was blown away, crashing into a car. "Tsk, I thought I could take two," remarked a young man on a nearby roof, somewhat dissatisfied as he carried RPG rockets. "Dawn!" Miles yelled. The commotion outside drew the attention of the Spider-Men, who ran out to confront the emerging villains.
