YIN-YANG DEVOURER

Prologue (0.5)

Svarnas Family, Vylas Empire

It was a sunny afternoon in a huge and colorful valley where peace and harmony could be breathed everywhere, enormous castles could be seen in the surroundings while the concentration of spiritual energy was extremely dense.

Sitting under a huge tree in a meditative position was an Elder. Although his hair was white as snow, his skin features looked like someone in his prime. The Elder had a carefully trimmed beard that made him look quite elegant, his clothes were of a simple but elegant design.

"Great Elder"

At that moment three people appeared in front of the Elder while bowing respectfully. The three of them waited patiently for the Elder's permission to get u. It was evident the degree of respect that these people had for the Elder.

"Get up" the Elder said without bothering to open his eyes, after all he could see what was around him thanks to his wide spiritual sense.

"Thank you, Great Elder," thanked one of the men who seemed to be responsible for the three newcomers.

This man appeared to be middle-aged; his hair was still black as night while his face was quite elegant. anyone present would realize that this man was a descendant of the Elder due to the similarity of their features.

"What's going on? I thought I was clear when I said that I didn't want anyone to bother me unless something important happened" the Elder said in a calm tone, however an oppressive feeling invaded the three newcomers, making it impossible for them to move, their backs quickly began to sweat as they felt the oppressive energy emerging from the Elder in front of them.

"I'm sorry father… But we need your instructions" said the middle-aged man who had been speaking until now. Although he referred to him as his father, there was never a family atmosphere between them.

"Phew~ Well? What is so important that you require my permission after all you are right now the head of the family" the Elder said as he eased the pressure on the newcomers.

"It's about Ruvan" the head of the family said with a bitter smile.

"There is one year left before the young people of our Family take the Academy entrance tests… I was wondering if my father intends to lift the exile imposed on my son." The head of the family asked with a solemn expression.

"Hmmm So it's about that brat…" the Elder said as he stroked his beard however for the first time in many years a slight smile appeared on his face.

"How has he's been doing these years?" The Elder asked with quite interest.

"He's still doing his thing… At least when it comes to women and alcohol…" the Head of the Family said with a bitter expression, before revealing a much more complete account of his son's activities over the past few years.

"However, he has been working as a mercenary in recent years, and has even been promoted to captain of one of the most respected mercenary bands on the small continent where he is located... From what my spies say, he has a much respected position among his soldiers."

"Furthermore, he is currently at the Golden Core Realm, specifically the third stage," the Family Head said with a serious look. His son's cultivation level was quite good for his age, but it would not be something extremely outstanding compared to the celestial geniuses in the empire.

"Ohhh I see… Third stage"

"The fact that he has reached the Third Stage in a place so scarce in spiritual energy like that is an impressive achievement…" the Elder said with a look of astonishment. He himself knew that the place where Ruvan was a piece of shit. That place was completely sterile compared to the richness of the lands of the Vylas Empire.

"Excuse me for interrupting, Elder…"

"But being in the Third stage is not a big deal… Also don't forget that Ruvan looted a lot of the treasures in our vault"

"Compared to Rodras who is already in the ninth stage, Ruvan's talent is clearly insignificant." said one of the men who was present, it was evident that he did not think so highly of this Ruvan fellow.

"You say it's no big deal…"

"You, like everyone else here, know about Ruvan's particularity…"

"If we brought Ruvan back tomorrow, I'm sure he would kill Rodras without much difficulty…" The Elder said with a stern tone.

'This is why Families end up falling...'

'This idiot cannot even hide that he fears that his grandson's position as a young heir may falter in the event of Ruvan's return...'

Although the Elder despised most of his descendants he had to maintain a calm facade to avoid conflicts within his family.

"This…" Although the man tried to answer the truth is that he had no way to argue against what the Elder had said. He himself knew about Ruvan's terrifying talent, this without considering his tyrannical and ruthless personality. A personality that even himself fears.

"Sigh, in order for the family to continue its stability Ruvan will remain in exile until further notice…" the Elder said with a serious look.

"Understood" Seeing that the Elder had nothing more to say, the visitors quickly left, leaving him completely immersed in his own thoughts.

"Hahahaha that brat never disappoints"

"However, bringing him back now would only put him at risk... Most family members want him dead so it is best that he stay hidden..." the Elder murmured before returning to his meditation.
