You Are Deep in The Stars

Chapter 69 - Punk Girl II

“Yes,” the bartender girl said, making drinks while on the phone. “The little boss seemed to have no status in the family and could only be led around.”

“Oh!” Daisy covered her chest, shedding excited tears. She urged her sister because she really wanted to know how her son had been feeling at that moment.

“But you just said last time that it was immoral to pry into privacy,” Gwen said, putting down her milkshake. “OK, one last time.”

“I know, you must have sensed Han Zhuo’s emotions countless times behind my back, but it didn’t matter,” Daisy eagerly clasped her hands. “Please tell me quickly!”

“Ahem,” Gwen replied, agreeing to Daisy’s request. She curled a strand of her sister’s long hair around her finger. “You can try it yourself. I thought this little cheetah had gone crazy.”

“It’s really…” After a moment of silence, Daisy and her sister exchanged a look. “It’s embarrassing.”

“It really is embarrassing,” Gwen nodded in agreement.

“I always thought he was strong, but that and… hungry are two different things,” Daisy said carefully. “Can you understand? The former sounds like a great king, while the latter just sounds… No, no, no, I don’t want to describe it anymore.”

“I understand. I understand everything,” Gwen said, taking her hand back. “Let’s change the subject.”

“Hey, I thought they already had a child,” Daisy said, rubbing her temples, looking disappointed.

“Is Han Zhuo okay?” Gwen sat up in shock. “Why didn’t I know the results of this research?”

Daisy: “…”

“Oh.” Gwen quickly realized what she had said and laid back on the sofa, bored. “Adoption, surrogacy.”

Daisy added, “Or pick up a baby.”

Bai Xi put his hands on his chest. “Don’t move!”

“You looked so cute when you were jealous just now,” Han Zhuo said, putting his arms around his waist and lowering his head to continue the kiss they hadn’t finished.

“Others will see it,” Bai Xi said, avoiding him.

“No one can come in here,” Han Zhuo replied, rubbing his neck and enjoying the smooth, cool touch of his skin.

“Not necessarily,” Linda said, opening the door unapologetically. “I just wanted to remind you that someone could still come in. You just gave me the key.” Wearing high heels, she swayed over and, not forgetting to pat Mr. Han’s chest, added, “Boss, you look like a crazy Alpha now.”

“What is that?” Han Zhuo asked as he walked.

“The Conqueror,” Linda replied, smiling mischievously. “Do you need a copy of the novel I’ve been reading recently?”

“No, thank you,” Han Zhuo said, closing the door with his back and helping Bai Xi pull out a chair. “I came to you because of Shi Tian’s business.”

“Like you said on the phone, I would be kidnapped by the underground warehouse on purpose?” Linda sucked her lollipop. “Then Aspis will come to rescue me… Are you sure he will? I don’t want to run out on my own again. A few bones were broken every time.”

A trace of surprise flashed in Bai Xi’s eyes. He had originally thought that she was just an out-of-school girl not doing anything serious, but he hadn’t expected that, like Han Zhuo, she had been a former experimental subject in the underground warehouse.

“He will,” Han Zhuo nodded.

“Deal,” Linda stretched out a hand. “I’ve agreed in advance that if it’s not Aspis, I will refuse anyone else who come to the rescue.”

Han Zhuo smiled. “Neither can I?”

“No,” Linda high-fived him. “You’re just my idol, and Aspis is my dream lover.” She supported her chin with a dreamy look on her face. “The princess must be rescued by the prince on the white horse, not you, old king.”

Bai Xi: “…”

“Thank you,” Han Zhuo said, tossing her a shining diamond. “If things go well, the king will arrange a romantic dinner of two for the princess and the prince.”

“Then I wish I could be arrested by those bastards right now,” Linda said, chewing her lollipop. She kicked off the chair and stood up. “I will go back to work. If you need anything, call me. I hope your plan goes well.”

Han Zhuo nodded and watched her disappear down the corridor.

“So, this was your plan?” Bai Xi asked, puzzled. “Let a young girl be used as bait? And have her captured by people in the underground warehouse?”

“Otherwise?” Han Zhuo said, amused. “Do you want me, or your Teacher Steve? I preferred the latter.”

“Don’t joke around,” Bai Xi said, putting his hands on his shoulders and shaking him. “Speak properly!”

“She’s not just an ordinary girl with special abilities, and she’s been captured by the underground warehouse at least twenty times,” Han Zhuo explained. “And she managed to escape every time. In the last few times, she even deliberately exposed herself to the pursuit, knowing people were watching.”

“Throw herself into a trap?” Bai Xi said, slightly stunned. “Why?”

“It’s not a wonderful place either. It might be possible that she is addicted to the feeling of escaping.”
