After Dressing Up As a Little Fulang

Chapter 54 - Aftermath (2)

“The young master asked me to tell the fulang that his injury is not serious. He will go to rest on his own after the doctor has completed the examination and given him medicine.”

After Qing Yue finished speaking, she waved behind her. When the little maid came over with the things in her hands, she took them and handed them to An Yun. She smiled at him and said, “The young master ordered someone to make a soothing soup for you to drink. After that, you can rest early. The old madam and the master will watch over him, so you don’t have to wait for the young master.”

Listening to Qing Yue’s words, An Yun felt mixed emotions for a moment. At this time, Zang Ya himself was so seriously injured but he still remembered to let him rest early.

An Yun nodded, listening to Qing Yue’s words. “Go and reply to the young master. I will have a good rest and ask him not to worry about me.”

After saying that, An Yun picked up the bowl of medicine and raised his head to drink it.

Qing Yue listened to An Yun’s words, bowed slightly to him, and then turned around and left.

After Qing Yue left, An Yun looked at Zang Ya’s room, which was still crowded not far away, and pursed his lips, remaining still for a long time.

It wasn’t until Xiao Cui, behind him, couldn’t help but try to persuade him again that he finally said, “Go and prepare the hot water. I want to take a bath.”

“Yes.” Xiao Cui had a look of surprise on her face and immediately went to prepare.

An Yun looked at Zang Ya’s room not far away, thinking about getting up early tomorrow, and then he would find a chance to see Zang Ya.

When An Yun soaked in hot water, the tension in his heart that had been present since the assassination relaxed, and his face, which had lost all colour, became rosy.

An Yun leaned on the edge of the barrel, reflecting on the series of events that had occurred that day, his heart full of sighs.

However, besides sighing, An Yun was also particularly confused. Who wanted to kill Zang Ya, and why?

Those people had attacked bravely that day. An Yun felt that if Zang Ya’s martial arts had been a little worse, they might have all died there.

An Yun thought about it and soaked half of his head in the warm water, leaving only his nose above the surface to breathe.

After soaking like this for a while, An Yun felt that he was almost relaxed and then got up.

While sitting on the chair and letting the little maids blow-dry his hair, An Yun’s eyes still fell on the room where Zang Ya lived, hoping to catch a glimpse of Zang Ya’s current appearance.

It was a pity that, apart from the servants coming and going, there was no sign of Zang Ya anymore. Even Old Madam Zang and Zang Ke had not come out.

“Fulang, you should go to bed first!”

When An Yun’s hair was finally dried, Xiao Cui called out softly. She thought that he would need a few more words of persuasion this time before he would go to sleep obediently.

Who knew that just after Xiao Cui said these words, An Yun nodded toward her. “Okay.”

Seeing An Yun agree so readily, Xiao Cui was a little surprised but happily helped him.

An Yun laid on the bed, thinking about getting up early tomorrow to see Zang Ya.

But that night, An Yun still couldn’t sleep well because of the fright. From time to time, he was woken up by nightmares, and he would fall asleep in a daze. When he woke up again, it was already bright outside.

An Yun opened his eyes suddenly and saw the bright sun outside. Thinking about going to see Zang Ya, he hurriedly wanted to get out of bed.

When An Yun landed on the ground and hurriedly wanted to walk outside, he heard a confused question, “What are you doing in such a hurry this early in the morning?”

An Yun suddenly raised his head and saw Zang Ya, who was wearing a green clothes and a casual posture, standing in front of him, staring straight at him with some doubts in his eyes.

An Yun could no longer care about anything else. He stood up, approached Zang Ya, and said happily, “Young master, why are you here?”

Zang Ya, however, did not answer him directly. Instead, he pulled An Yun’s undershirt, which he had opened in his anxiety to get up, to cover the porcelain-white skin that was accidentally exposed. He then said, “I thought you might have had a restless sleep last night, so I wanted to come and see you when I woke up. Unexpectedly, you never got up. However, there is no need to worry; you got up without even caring about your clothes.”

While pulling An Yun’s clothes down, Zang Ya didn’t know whether intentionally or unintentionally, the pads of his fingers slightly scraped An Yun’s skin, causing a tingling sensation.

An Yun noticed something strange, but the feeling passed too quickly. In addition, all his attention was on Zang Ya, so he didn’t pay much attention to Zang Ya’s movements.

An Yun looked at Zang Ya nervously, his tone full of anxiety. “Young master, is your injury better?”

Zang Ya nodded toward him and then said, “Yesterday I just suffered some minor skin injuries. I applied the medicine and drank some. I am already much better. I will be fully recovered after a few more days of rest.”

An Yun heard what Zang Ya said and looked at him standing tall and straight. Then he breathed a sigh of relief and said, “That’s great. I was really scared to death yesterday. By the way, who was it that attacked us?”

Zang Ya did not answer An Yun directly but said to him, “No rush. We can talk about it more later. Go change your clothes first, and then we can talk while eating.”

Hearing this, An Yun didn’t quite understand at first, but then he thought of something and suddenly lowered his head to look at himself, only to realize that he had been wearing only his inner clothes while talking to Zang Ya.

The clothes in this dynasty were already thin, but now that it was still summer, the clothes were even thinner, almost transparent. If one looked closely, they could see everything clearly.

Thinking that he had been standing in front of Zang Ya like this just now, An Yun’s face immediately turned red, and soon he looked like a cooked apple. He looked up at Zang Ya, quietly apologized, and immediately went to change his clothes.

Zang Ya stood behind, staring at An Yun’s back, no one knew what he was thinking.
