After the explosion went off, several streaks of light came towards my direction, I got into my fighting stance but immediately let go after noticing that they are fellow saiyans.
"Holy crap,! Did you do all this, Toma?!" Onio said with a mix of fear and admiration in his voice. I quickly suppressed my power level before any one of them scan me with their scouters
"You are so strong, Toma!" one of the saiyan children said.
"This is enough for today, lets go back home" I said before pressing a button for my saiyan pod

TIMESKIP TO PLANET VEGETA
Right after I get off my saiyan pod, I went up to an old man to claim my rewards for the mission
The old man looked at me
"Hand me your scout-scope" Scout-scopes are devices that the saiyans use for the measuring of battle power and recording kill counts before Frieza introduced the use of scouters
I took the scout scope out of my pocket and handed it to him.
"Lets see here.....kill count: 6 thousand" he handed me a small bag of metal tubes. Apparently, its the kind of currency that is commonly used amongst the saiyans and the Cold Force (Frieza Force's old name when King Cold was still in charge)
"Here, your money" Yes, they pay kids too. They can't expect a kid with a battle power of 6,000 to work for free now do they? When I was about to turn around and leave, the old man grabbed my shoulders
"Hey kid"
"Hm? What is it, old man?"
"If you want to earn some serious cash, join the Cold Force. We pay much more than King Vegeta does"
"I.....I will think about it" I turned around and walked away.
I went to the local market, bought some groceries and headed to the house that was previously owned by my dead parents.
I opened the door, the house was empty
"*sigh* home sweet home"
For dinner today, I made two plate-full of steamed buns, 3 plates of chashu pork, one whole space pig, and some boiled space eggs. There are also extra ingredients in case the food isn't enough for one meal. The flavors are not exactly the same as the ones back on Earth but its pretty damn close.
"Itadakimasu"
While I wolf down the food I made, I thought about what the old man said today.

Well, having extra cash at my disposal is great and all but.....getting out of here alive sounds even better. It's decided then, I will join the Cold Force this year when the recruitment officer comes this year.
After I finished dinner, I sat down on my bed and began to meditate. It helps me calm my mind a bit but, that's not the main reason I meditate.
Before I know it, I am back in the dark space . My purple soul emitted a wave of god ki towards me and enters my meridan, where ki is stored. The process of ki purification is painful but rewarding, the power boost I gain from it is incredible.
I opened my eyes, a pitch black aura surrounds me.
I quickly flew to an isolate mountain and got out my scout-scope as my power level rises

40,000....
50,000....
60,000....
75,000!!

My power level has jumped from 30,000 straight to 75,000
At this rate, I should be able to surpass Frieza before the Namek Saga.
I put away my scout-scope and flew back to my house.
I laid down on my bed, satisfied with my growth in power, and drifted off to dream.
The next morning, I woke up early in the morning, cooked myself a small breakfast, and headed to the training grounds where all saiyans train either by themselves or with a partner.
I looked around for a specific person and eventually spotted a black haired man wearing yellow and black saiyan armor
"Mr. Bardock!"
Yep, that man is my training instructor: Bardock
"Hey kid, back from your mission already?"
"Yep! The mission was easier than expected"
"Yeah, same here"
Bardock was cold to me at first because he thought I was snotty like all the other elite class saiyans, but he eventually opened up to me.
He pressed a button on his scouter, the result was 7,200
"Heh, looks like your battle power increased again. Lets see how much your combat skills improved since last time"
"Gladly"
We powered up at the same time.
I try to keep my power level the same but struggled a bit.
"Huh?"
Bardock lifted his eyebrows when he saw my power level fluctuate
"Come at me with all you got, don't you dare hold back. Got that?'
Well if I really don't hold back against you, you really will die
"Yes, Mr. Bardock!"
We rush towards each other at full speeds
"HAAAA!!!!!!!!!"
Our fists clashed, causing a small shockwave. I covered my right arm with ki and strikes him, causing him to stumble back a bit.
"Take....this!" I launched a dark purple energy wave, which he counters with one of his own.
Ultimately, the two beams canceled each other out.
I flew back and reached both of my hands towards him
"haaa...!"
A volley of ki-blasts was sent his way.
Bardock either dodged or deflected them with his wrist as he flew towards me. I finished the energy combo with a concentrated blast of energy.
"Heh, he definitely improved alright." Bardock muttered to himself as he was barely able to defend against my last energy blast.
I took a deep breath
Lets see if I could pull it off
"AHHHH!!!!!!! HAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Bardock's scouter activated
"8,000 9,000....its still rising!"
My power level stopped at around 10,000
A thin layer of light violet ki covers my body.
Yes, I had used "surge"
Surge is a technique from the videogame "Dragon Ball Z- Kakarot", it boosts your stats to an extent. In my case, it boosts my power level by 30%. It's best if I use it at my full power though, because it will boost only my current power level by 30%. For example, if I suppress my power level to 10,000 and then use surge, my power level will only go up to 13,000.
"Watch out, Mr. Bardock. I'm still getting used to this!"
"Bring it on! I need a good workout anyways!"
"Here I come!"
We started to trade blows, but Bardock obviously has the upper hand.
After one full minute of stalemate, Bardock saw an opening and punched me in the gut.
"You are good, kid. But it's still not enough to face a warrior that has seen hell!"
Ugh...that fucking hurts!
I deactivated Surge and collapsed onto the ground
In terms of power, I'm way above Bardock. But his fighting techniques are leagues above me
"You okay, kiddo?"
"I'm.....fine"
"Phew, that's good. Gine would kill me if I sent you to the healing pod for a whole day again"
He then remembered something
"How about you stay for lunch? My wife's cooking is fucking amazing"
"Is...that why you married her?"
"Pfft no"
I stared at him accusingly
"...Okay its one of the reasons"
Bardock then gave me a piggyback ride to his house.
"Hey, good to see you Bardock!" A random saiyan shouted
"Good to see you too, Vasabi"
Gine ran up to Bardock and hugs him
"Bardock, you're back!"
She turns to me
"Oh, good to see you again Toma"
"Good to see you too, Gine"
"You are staying here for lunch, I assume?"
"Yep, sorry to trouble you"
She giggles a bit
"Its fine, kiddo"
Then, a boy with long spiky hair tried to punch me
"TOMA! I WANT A RE-MATCH!!!"
"Bring it on, porcupine!"
Gine pulls the two of us apart before we could start a fight
"Now now Raditz, don't be rude to Toma. He's only here for lunch"
"Alright....wait is that what I think it is?!" Raditz exclaimed after he saw what Gine was cooking in the kitchen
"Yep, its my signature fried pork curry. Your father here saved enough money to buy some spices"
I...I hadn't ate curry in so long!
Bardock saw me drooling and chuckles
"Told you her food was great"
"Y-yeah, no kidding!"
"Alright, lunch is ready. Raditz, come help serve the food."
"Okay~"
"Hey I will help too!" I said as I ran into the kitchen.
After we all sat down at the dinner table, I gulped and dug into the most delicious meal I had in this lifetime.
I wish this moment could last forever...
