Genshin Impact: I Became The Son Of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Urgency

A meteor crashed right in front of Yu, sending a wave of force surging toward him. The impact blasted him off his feet, sweeping away little Ganyu and the princess in his arms.

Clearly, Madame Ping hadn't been wrong—misfortune indeed seemed to follow the young princess like a shadow. Whether her rebellious nature was innate still remained to be seen.

When Yu opened his eyes again, his vision was filled with a sickly crimson hue, and an overwhelming stench of blood assaulted his senses.

"Did I… get swallowed by something?"

Yu was bewildered, but before he could make sense of things, a wave of fatigue washed over him. "Weird, why do I feel so weak? At this rate, I can't even tear an adult Geovishap in half properly—might have to settle for ripping it into pieces."

He glanced around, only to realize with a jolt—Oh no, the boss's daughter is gone!

---

On the sea's surface, little Ganyu clung tightly to the young princess, perched atop a large, gentle fish resembling a whale shark. Perhaps thanks to her innate aura of good fortune, the creature seemed unusually docile, carrying her across the waves.

"Strange, I could've sworn I sensed Brother Yu nearby… but now, there's nothing. Hey, big fish, did you see anything?"

The fish gave a low rumble in response, indicating it had seen nothing at all.

"Really weird…" Ganyu murmured, puzzled.

It wasn't just the main group that got blasted away. Somewhere far off, a small object—a certain headpiece—soared through the air at high speed due to its small size.

Meanwhile, after a full day of fierce battle, the Yakshas finally welcomed a brief moment of respite.

Alatus planted the Primordial Jade Winged Spear firmly in the ground, leaning against it. Bosacius stood nearby, flexing his four arms to ease the soreness in his muscles. The water-element Yaksha calmly cleaned her claws, while the fire-element Yaksha stretched with her arms crossed above her head. The rock Yaksha, Menogias, stood silently off to the side, arms crossed, eyes closed in meditation.

Suddenly, something fell from the sky, drawing the attention of all five Yakshas. Upon closer inspection, they realized it was Yu's… wait, wasn't that his artifact? And where was her eyepatch?

And then… there was nothing more. Just like that, the world gained five statues frozen in graceful, bizarre poses.

"Morax! Something terrible has happened—the Yakshas have turned to stone!"

Zhongli approached the scene, puzzled as he gazed upon the five elegantly posed statues. After hearing the full account from a bystander, he quickly grasped the situation.

"We'll move them back for now," Zhongli decided calmly. "Once the war is over, we'll see if there's a way to fix this. Right now, we have more pressing matters."

Not long ago, Guizhong had fallen from the sky straight into his hands, explaining the dire circumstances to him. Now, Zhongli had to rush to aid Yu and check on his newly born child.

To be honest, despite his thousands of years of life, this was the first time he had ever felt such an urgent need. As the most steadfast of stones, experiencing this level of anxiety was nearly unimaginable.

"Guizhong, I'm going to check on Yu. Don't worry; everything will be fine."

Guizhong nodded softly. She had never relied on anyone this much before. Only he could provide her with a sense of security.

---

The place where Yu had just fought was now a massive crater, with not a single bone left behind, only traces of dense Dendro energy lingering in the air.

"This level of Dendro energy… it must be Yu. But he doesn't have the ability to summon meteors."

Zhongli carefully surveyed the surroundings but found no sign of life. Fortunately, thanks to his contract with Yu, he could sense that Yu was still alive, as was Ganyu. The contracts with the five Yakshas also remained intact, so he wasn't overly concerned.

"They're alive, just… missing for now. As for our child, I hope she's safe."

---

Yu wandered aimlessly through the strange environment, trudging forward until he finally spotted a glimmer of light. He sprinted towards it eagerly.

At that moment, the large fish beneath Ganyu suddenly grew restless, thrashing about wildly. The baby she held in her mouth started crying loudly.

Ganyu tried her best to soothe the child, but the more she comforted, the louder the wails grew. Eventually, after a long struggle, she gave up and decided to focus her attention on the fish beneath her.

"What's wrong with you?" she asked in confusion.

Suddenly, the fish's eyes widened to their fullest extent.

At that moment, as the flower bloomed… Yu finally emerged.

The moment he broke through, a sudden surge of seawater struck him head-on, the icy chill stinging his face. Turning his head, he spotted the giant fish nearby.

"So it was you who swallowed me."

"Brother Yu! (≧▽≦)! I finally found you! …Ew, Brother Yu, you smell terrible."

The fish, clearly displeased by the one who had caused it such discomfort, grudgingly allowed Yu to climb aboard, continuing to carry them forward—because really, who could say no to a little blue qilin?

"So, Brother Yu, you…"

"Don't ask."

"Okay." Little Ganyu obediently clamped her mouth shut. She wasn't like her master—she knew when to stop prying.

Yu took the young princess from Ganyu's arms and carefully examined her.

"Ganyu, does she have a name?"

"No… we didn't have time to give her one before…"

"In that case, I'll call her 'Young Lord' for now."

"Uh… that sounds kinda strange."

"By the way, where are we headed?" Yu suddenly asked, noticing that the fish had been swimming straight ahead without any clear direction.

"I have no idea!"

Just then, Yu noticed a stretch of land appearing on the horizon.

"Let's head there and check it out. I could use a break to recover."
