Chapter 10: I’m Settling Here
Rope yawned and leaned on the back of the chair, his eyes were confused and seemed to be asleep.
Professor Oak looked at this guy's listless appearance, propped up his forehead with a helpless face and said, "You this guy, before a look like I'm going to live in Sinnoh, at this time how to think about going back to Kanto?"
Rope yawned again and waved his hand, signaling for Professor Oak to be spoken to and to take a nap himself.
It was the third day since the end of the matter of the God of Time and Space. Rope had been in Celestic Town as well to study the murals and relics and to explore the myths and legends of the Sinnoh region with Cynthia.
Although this incident was dangerous, it was also beneficial to Cynthia. As a mythologist, she was naturally able to study the myths more accurately and objectively after facing them head on.
As a mythologist, Cynthia could be considered very good.
Of course, in the field of research, there was still a gap between Cynthia and Rope, a pervert who had made a name for herself after spending one lecture.
Naturally Rope had to get back to Kanto after his research, so he hurriedly called Professor Oak to get a return ticket. Professor Oak strongly condemned Rope's behavior of promising to travel in Sinnoh and then going back on his word, and immediately booked him a ticket.
But when he arrived at the airport and watched Cynthia and Rope laughing and talking, he had second thoughts. Why don't you stay here and strike while the iron is hot?
With that thought in mind, his finger had already tapped on the refund screen on his cell phone.
Rope's eyes are sharp, although last night asked to teach the cultivation method of Pokémon until midnight, but he still saw the refund interface, and quickly went forward to stop Professor Oak, and then said goodbye to Cynthia, and hurriedly went to pick up the ticket through the security check.
Professor Oak looked at this guy a face of hopelessness, hit the immobilization, scolded not to listen, a small age of a rolling knife meat as a statue. But Rope has always been this behavior he can not do much.
He looked at Rope who had fallen asleep with even breathing, smiled and shook his head.
Rope hadn't told him about the last few days, just that his problems had been solved and he was now going home. But Cynthia had told him everything that had happened before, everything. He felt bad that the boy couldn't go back, and there was in the back of his mind an indescribable joy and celebration.
"Professor... phew~... I want to be a trainer... um... I want to go... traveling..."
Rope's sleepy murmur rings softly in Professor Oak's ear.
Professor Oak leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and smiled, "Okay, go back and I'll sign you up for this year's Indigo Plateau Conference."
"...Phew... good..."
Professor Oak looked along the window at the floating sea of clouds outside and the flying Pokémon that occasionally flew out, his eyes showing tenderness.
After five years of spending time together, a group of people who weren't supposed to be mean naturally became a family that clung to each other.
"Silly boy, is this your original ambition?" Professor Oak whispered to himself, "It's good, our family can produce another great trainer."

"Oh Rope you even met Dialga and Palkia this time out!" Red couldn't help but shout in excitement as he listened to Rope talk about his experiences here.
Rope nodded complacently, with his nose in the air, as if to say "I'm awesome, come over here and show off your skills".
"Too bad, I would have seen if I could have taken it in." Red's face was so hateful that he wanted to yell "He can take his place" on the spot.
Rope immediately lost his temper, the smile on his face froze, the corners of his mouth a little momentarily do not know where to put the meaning.
Big brother, these two brothers are even fiercer than Fang Yuan's two idiots...
There are few First Grade Gods that are not good fighters, Reshiram and Zekrom, Groudon and Kyogre, Xerneas and Yveltal... there is one that counts as a master who loves to fight.
But all of them slept for hundreds or thousands of years and got up to fight.
Dialga and Palkia are fighting every day in the cracks of space and time because of their turf.
It's just that you can't see them because they're fighting in another dimension.
You think it's just a matter of throwing a ball?
...Emm, don't say... it might not be impossible... after all, there are quite a few Legendary Pokémon who have been screwed over, so who knows.
Rope hastily snorted and sidetracked the topic. This couldn't be talked about much, Red wasn't Ash, Red had seen little but was perfectly capable of taking in divine beasts. ash had seen a lot and was completely incapable of fighting them.
"So are you going to start traveling? Hit the Gym and attend the Indigo Plateau Conference?" asked Blue rather puzzled as he looked at Rope who was stuffing things into his folded backpack.
To be honest, he had only seen trainers who had successful careers as researchers, such as Professor Oak, but he hadn't really heard of a researcher who had had enough of being a researcher to become a trainer.
Rope scratched his head and said, "Not really, I mainly want to travel around and see the world, I've been here for so long, but I haven't really taken a close look around."
Blue and Red nodded together, that was true, the guy had been cooped up at the Institute going out far less.
"However," Rope's expression was quite complicated, "I think the league's competition system is not suitable for me. I prefer to wild battle."
Wild battle, the kind of battle where trainers and Pokémon went up side by side.
Blue and Red sniffed and couldn't help but enact a scene in their heads of Rope releasing a Pokémon and then finishing off the opposite trainer and Pokémon side by side with a Fire Fist.
The duo shivered.
Glancing at each other, they both saw what the other was thinking.
"Never play wild battle with this guy in the future."
Red and Blue were both masters of wild battles, after all, when the alliance hadn't been formally established, everyone basically played wild. Especially when it came to grabbing up Pokémon, it was really the kind of fight that meant victory and defeat as well as life and death.
But this game can never be played with Rope. Because it is equivalent to two Pokémon fighting one Pokémon.
It's so unfair!!!
But I like it...
Blue and Red gave Rope an envious nod.
"Should I ask Grandpa to get you a Pokémon?" asked Blue out of the blue.
Rope also understood what he meant, since he wanted a Pokémon, naturally it would be one with excellent breed and qualifications. Otherwise, there was no need for Professor Oak to step in and negotiate. Although he and Red were very strong and were at the top of the trainers, their debut time was too short and they didn't have many friendships with some people.
That's probably the downside of being at the top right out of the gate. The underpinnings are slightly lacking.
But why is Rope, who understands this flaw, so sour?
Therefore, Rope · I'm not jealous at all · everything depends on me · Harlow waved his hand and said, "No, I'm going to hang out in Viridian Forest for a few days to find a guy that fits my personality. As you guys know, a lot of times it's not qualifications and race that make this Pokémon excellent."
Blue and Red weren't amateurs, so when they said that, they naturally knew that Rope had his own plans, and after chatting for a while, they left. Leaving Rope alone in the room to pack things that might be used.
Rope was packing in silence, with a feeling of reluctance of not being able to return to her hometown, but also a desire for a new life.
These two moods were mixed together, allowing Rope to remain calm while rejoicing at the same time. It was quite like being happy but not lustful, sad but not hurt.
He stopped abruptly and looked out the window, where Professor Oak was chasing after the Tauros pack, Daisy was laughing while clutching her laptop, and Red and Blue were starting another sparring match.
Everything was as usual. He, however, felt doubly new, and thought about it, but it turned out to be different for him.
With a grin, Rope looked over to a sketch portrait hanging out of his bed.
On it was a man, a woman and a little boy. It was a sketch of a family portrait that Rope had drawn from memory. On it, the woman was holding the little boy, the man was standing behind the two of them, and all three of them had cheerful and bright smiles on their faces.
"Dad, Mom, I'm settling down here, don't miss me."
