Chapter 8: The Desire For Power and the Loss of Hope
Alamos Town Poké Center.
Alice and Tonio looked around at the Pokémon that had returned to normal, but instead they were even more headstrong, because according to Tonio's research, they were already in a stable space at this point in time, but judging from the color of the sky, it was clear that this wasn't the original space they were in. It was hard to say what would happen afterward.
At that moment, a figure covered in flames rushed straight in through the Poké Center's gate, and the visitor smashed the gate directly, sending flaming pieces of the gate flying in all directions. The surrounding trainers and Pokémon waking up from their nightmares each did their best to knock away or deflect the fragments that came their way. Then came the whispered inquiries with different faces.
"What is this thing?"
"Pokémon? What Pokémon?"
"I don't know, could it be something strange again?
Their doubts didn't last long, and soon the flames dispersed, and Rope became clearer bit by bit in the flames.
The crowd breathed a sigh of relief that it was a person and not some new weird thing.
But soon there was another unexplainable doubt in the back of their minds, why was this person burning with flames?
Well, they had gotten enough surprises and doubts for the day, a little more wouldn't have mattered.
And Rope, who had come in, didn't care at all about their stares, at that moment he was scanning around, his neck craning rapidly and stiffly. Like a camera out of control. And soon enough, he found his target. Alice, a woman with blonde hair and a Chimcar at her side.
She was the granddaughter of a friend of Darkrai's, and in the theatrical version she'd had the means to find the sound disc with the tune called Oración burned into it, and by playing that tune with the Space-Time Tower, she'd been able to calm the wrath of the Twin Gods of Time and Space and restore Palkia's injuries. It also pulls them into a state where they can communicate, which is really the best chance for Rope.
Not to mention the fact that Cynthia, who was out there stalling the Temporal Twins at this point, wasn't thinking very well of herself. Regarding the legend Pokémon's power and difficulty Rope was very experienced. According to his estimation, Blue couldn't do much good against Pokémon, let alone win.
Therefore, the situation at this time was very critical.
Without doing too much thinking, Rope walked straight to Alice's side, ignoring Tonio who immediately blocked Alice's body, and also ignoring Chimchar who showed his teeth and was ready to shoot flames, Rope opened his mouth with a cold face and said: ''You know Oración, right? Do you still have that picture?"
Tonio and the others immediately breathed a sigh of relief, it was good to know that this guy was able to communicate and didn't seem to have any malicious intent.
Alice nodded though she was unsure, "I have it, who are you and what's up?"
Rope sniffed knowing that nothing much had gone wrong, even though Ash hadn't shown up, the cause and even the end of the incident had nothing much to do with Ash. palkia was fought by Dialga, the Time Twins were dragged along by Darkrai, the puzzles were solved by Tonio, the sound discs were found by Alice, the electricity was sent by Pikachu and Pachirisu sent it, and even the bayonet to put the sound disc in was found by Dawn. ash was just a means of transportation.
Rope grabbed Alice's hand and dragged the frightened Alice out, saying, "Don't resist yet. This is an emergency. Let's talk while we walk."
Alice sniffed, looked back and saw Chimchar and Tonio who followed her up also sighed in relief, then withdrew her hand from Rope's hand, then said, "I can walk by myself."
Rope didn't care about her, just let her go. He ran out of the Poké Center with Alice, and when he left, he looked up at Cynthia, who was riding Charizard and commanding Garchomp and several other Pokémon to fight against the Time and Space Gods, and his eyes flashed with surprise. It seems that Cynthia's strength is really the top one among the champions. At present, only Red may be able to match her, and even Steven Stone may be inferior to her.
And Cynthia who was commanding the battle in the sky noticed the strange situation over there in the Poké Center, seeing that it was Rope who came out with two people, she smiled and gave an ok gesture towards him, seeing that Rope nodded her head once again twisting her head and commanding the battle with a serious look on her face.
"Garchomp, Dragon Claw! Togekiss, Air Slash!"
She was under a lot of pressure right now, but luckily she was still able to withstand it, but Darkrai on one side was fighting in a really reckless way, and now that she had added a lot of injuries to her body, she might not last long. Once Darkrai's help was gone, Cynthia's situation would take a sharp turn for the worse as well.
She smiled at Rope just to reassure him before she messed up. The actual situation didn't look very promising.
In the end... a Legendary Pokémon, not so much to face.
Rope ran very hard. He was not fooled by Cynthia's smile and gestures. But after all, she still had the heart to comfort him, which proved that the situation would not get out of control at least for a while. But Rope had been with BlueRed for so many years, so he was still sensitive to the battle. He naturally saw that there was a big problem with Darkrai's playing style. Darkrai's playing style was a time bomb around Cynthia.
For the first time, Rope felt that he should not have insisted on the independence of being a person from another world, and should have just honestly conquered a team of Pokémon. He was confident that he had good talent, and he had Red and Blue by his side. As long as he was not too stupid, then he should have no problem gathering a team of strong Pokémon. Besides, the Pokémon battles he had played in the original world were not in vain, he still had all the routines and awareness.
Blue and Red often came to him for advice on matchmaking. It's not that he's necessarily better than BlueRed, but in terms of innovation, he's definitely not weak.
Right now, for the first time since he came to this world, he craved power.
He quickly rushed to the Space-Time Tower while explaining everything to Alice and Tonio. Of course, he barely managed to evade the question of how he knew Oración. Thanks to the current situation and the series of accidents, Tonio and Alice were puzzled but did not delve into it.
And so Cynthia and Rope, each on their own side, methodically continued the rescue process.
With Cynthia in check, Dialga and Palkia didn't have a chance against Wave, so the demise caused by the temporal dislocation in the episode didn't occur, which made Rope rather glad that she had brought Cynthia over at the time. And Cynthia was still smart enough that although she made a strong hold, her hate value was always a hair weaker for Darkrai, and with Charizard's protection, she wasn't in much danger herself.
Rope, with the help of Alice and Tonio, quickly obtained the sound disc with Oración on it and flew to the top of the tower in a hot air balloon.
He stood at the window and looked at Dialga and Palkia, who were fighting furiously over there, and was relieved to realize that they weren't very far away from the Space-Time Tower; he was really afraid that the battlefield would be too far away to cause him to be able to ask questions later.
He didn't realize that this was the reason why Cynthia purposely controlled it. Cynthia guessed that the reason why he came here was most likely the Space-Time Twin Gods, so she purposely maintained the battlefield at a distance that wouldn't damage the Space-Time Tower but could hear the sound coming from the Space-Time Tower .He was also worried that the battlefield would be too far away from the Space-Time Tower.
"Ready already? Going to activate Space-Time Tower?" Alice behind Rope wiped the sweat on her head towards Rope.
Rope looked at the direction of the battlefield and felt that the anger of the Space-Time Twin Gods was significantly more intense at this time compared to before.
In fact, it's understandable, you just want to have a good, passionate fight with your brother, but as a result, there are a few annoying flies next to you that have been preventing you two from having a head-on physical fight, so you must not be happy in the bottom of your heart.
Rope also did not delay too long, seeing that the battlefield had a little bit of movement this way again, said.
"Music!"
Alice gave the guy a blank look, she didn't know why the guy had undergone a change of heart, but the flirty energy was kind of relaxing.
She and Tonio exchanged a glance, and together the two of them exerted force and pulled down the electric switch.
The gears of the Space-Time Tower began to turn, and beautiful music was played by the marvelous building. And the shape of Space-Time Tower changed, like a sleeping blossom opening its petals.
With the beautiful music, the battle over there stopped, and the cracks on the Pearl of Palkia quickly healed.
During the music, all of Rope's experiences since her arrival in this world came to mind like a tidal wave.
Professor Oak's kindness, and drawing blood.
Daisy's gentleness, and drawing blood.
Blue's anger, and fights.
Red's silence, and fights.
...Cynthia's generosity and gentleness.
Though he'd gone through a long period of being studied and researching himself these past five years, the good, gentle times were always truly seared into his soul. No matter where he was going, this real memory would always accompany him for the rest of his life.
He was a little lost for a moment.
After a while, the music stopped and Palkia and Dialga calmed down. They looked at each other, and then at Darkrai and Cynthia. with a low growl, they were ready to unleash the power of time and space to return the town to its original state.
But a shout interrupted them.
"You two, are you able to send me back to my world?"
Rope opened the door without delay, and although Alice and Tonio beside her and Cynthia in the distance didn't know what was going on, they all chose to remain silent as they looked at Rope's serious demeanor.
The Twin Gods of Time and Space and Darkrai together twisted their heads towards Rope.
After seeing Rope, the Time and Space Gods flew towards Rope, and Dialga called out, signaling Darkrai to come over.
Darkrai understood what Dialga meant, it was asking it to be the translator.
It shook its head helplessly and could only follow over, seeing that this was no small matter.
The Twin Gods of Time and Space and Rope stared at each other wide-eyed for a long time before Palkia called out and Dialga glared at Darkrai signaling it to hurry up and translate.
Darkrai helplessly turned his head towards Rope and said, "The God of Space said that you indeed weren't from this world before, and he doesn't know how you blended in, but they didn't detect your presence, so whoever sent you into this world is definitely far stronger than them."
Rope wasn't surprised at all, after all, time jumping in this world was far easier than doing it across worlds. That unscrupulous handheld game company had easily sent him to the world of Pirates and then to the world of Pokémon without even five minutes in between.
So he hadn't been trying to retaliate. The most he could do was report it to the BIA when he returned to the original world.
After all, it's everyone's responsibility to protect consumer rights.
But how smart Rope was, he caught the point.
"What do you mean...'not from this world before'?'" Rope's face was frozen, he now had the feeling of that guy from Mermaids.
Darkrai looked to Palkia.
Palkia shook her head helplessly, then growled again.
Darkrai sniffed, and the flowing shadows around him froze for a moment, then looked to Rope and said with a look of sorrow, "They said... that it would have been possible to send you back by following the coordinates from which you came, after all, you weren't tainted with too much of Pokémon's aura, so you weren't fully integrated into this time and space. "
Cynthia flew over at some point and sniffed, "Isn't that a good thing? It's okay to go back."
Darkrai shook its head then said, "But because you broke into the temporal rift, that is, you were close to this world's temporal origin, so the aura of the original world that you had on you has been... washed away. My condolences..."
After saying that, it lowered its head in an unforgiving manner.
"I can't go back?"
Cynthia and others around him, even Dialga and Palkia, looked at Rope as if he was unlucky. But Rope didn't look at them.
His eyes had gone out of high gear...
His soul seemed to float out of his body...
His heart seemed to have stopped beating...
He was now filled with the figure of some famous comedian and a classic line.
"What a sin!"
