Chapter 8: Chapter 8: A Bald Man Emerges from the Crowd

Stark subconsciously felt that the owner of this business card might have a solution to his current predicament. As he picked up the card, the image of the grocery store's location flashed in his mind.

Stark said, "Jarvis, search the name 'Han Yu.'"

"Understood, sir. Searching now..."

"Sir, there are no records found regarding 'Han Yu.'"

Hearing Jarvis's words, Stark's eyes narrowed. His reconnaissance system was on par with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s in terms of capability.

Except for highly encrypted information—which Stark had little interest in—a normal person's identity should not be untraceable.

"Jarvis, transfer an additional fifty billion dollars to my account number 857!"

Stark didn't hesitate. In fact, he felt the thirty billion he had sent earlier was far too little. This thing was worth renting for thirty billion a year, if not more! Someone who could casually provide something of this caliber was certainly no ordinary person. Items like this couldn't be bought, not even for hundreds of billions.

The reason he transferred more money was to build a good relationship with Han Yu. People like him were worth befriending, not offending.

"Jarvis, we can start the 'Ultron' project now. Contact Dr. Banner and have him come here immediately!"

Stark had been waiting for this day for a long time. To arm Earth adequately, a strong energy source was essential. This green ring not only met Stark's highest expectations but exceeded them.

"Understood, sir. Contacting Dr. Banner now."

Stark's eyes were fixed on the screen in front of him. This ring might just change the world.

Half an hour later, a man hurried into Stark's workshop, slightly out of breath, indicating he had rushed over.

"Tony, what's going on? Why did you call me so urgently?"

The slightly frail man with glasses was none other than Bruce Banner, the Avenger who could transform into the massive green Hulk at a moment's notice.

"Banner, come here! Look at this."

Stark grabbed Banner's wrist and pulled him over to the computer. If Banner didn't know Stark's preferences, he might have thought Stark had some unusual intentions.

"What... what is this?"

Banner first noticed the device beside the computer, constantly analyzing the green ring's energy output. Then he glanced at the data displayed on the monitor. The energy levels exceeded even Stark's Arc Reactor!

Stark didn't answer immediately. Instead, he stared at Banner with an intense expression, making him slightly uncomfortable. Only after a long exhale did Stark finally speak.

"Banner, I think we can finally begin the 'Ultron' project."

Hearing this, Banner smirked—not a smile of excitement, but one filled with disbelief and bitterness.

"Ultron... I thought that was just a fantasy."

After the Battle of New York, Stark had told Banner about his plan to arm the world against potential alien invasions. However, both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the United Nations opposed Stark deploying Iron Man suits for global protection.

Perhaps it was seen as an infringement on freedom, but there was no doubt it would offer significant protection.

When the Iron Man suit initiative failed, Stark shifted his focus to another field: Artificial Intelligence.

Stark intended to create a highly intelligent super-robot capable of protecting Earth. He had already named it: Ultron.

"Yes, it was a fantasy before—but not anymore, Banner!"

Stark grabbed Banner's shoulders and shook them vigorously. Only after seeing Banner's awkward expression did Stark realize he was being overly excited. Clearing his throat, he composed himself and continued.

"The energy from this ring perfectly meets—and even exceeds—our requirements. There's no better choice."

"If we can harness this energy and apply it to my Iron Legion, the world will be safe."

"Imagine this: you're relaxing in Hawaii, sipping a cocktail under the sun. When danger strikes, you won't need to turn green. With an advanced Iron Legion at your disposal, do you really want to transform into the Hulk anymore?"

Stark stared directly into Banner's eyes. Despite his long speech, everything hinged on Banner's response. This wasn't something Stark could achieve on his own.

His words struck a deep chord with Banner. To him, the Hulk was more of a curse than a power. If not for dire circumstances, he would have preferred to never transform again.

Whenever Banner thought about losing control as the Hulk—smashing everything in sight, becoming an object of fear and hatred—he felt a deep sense of unease. It forced him to hide in the shadows of society.

Countless thoughts flashed through Banner's mind. After a long pause, he clenched his teeth, looked up, and locked eyes with Stark.

"Let's do it."

"When do we start?"

"Right now!"

In the evening, after spending a long time studying the green lantern ring, Han Yu stepped out of the grocery store with a growling stomach.

"Time to eat! I'm starving," he muttered, clutching his stomach as he planned to indulge in a big meal. Although he could cook for himself, having traveled to a different world and with money in hand, why bother cooking? Eating out was clearly the better option.

As he pushed the door open, three luxurious black sedans approached from the distance, stopping right in front of the grocery store. A towering man stepped out from the middle car.

The man's enormous physique immediately caught attention, but what stood out even more was his completely bald head, which made him unmistakable in the crowd.

Some seasoned individuals, upon recognizing the man, froze for a moment, then quickly averted their gaze and hurried away, fearing they might attract unnecessary trouble.

Han Yu, puzzled, exclaimed, "Huh? Kingpin? What brings you here?"

The bald man before him was none other than Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin, the most powerful mob boss in New York and the entire United States, and one of Spider-Man's fiercest adversaries.

While his massive body might appear to be all fat to outsiders, the truth was far more intimidating—over 90% of his 400-pound frame was pure muscle. Kingpin's strength was comparable to some of the greatest powerhouses, though how he attained such a physique remained a mystery to Han Yu.

In fact, Han Yu's connection with Kingpin was minimal. The only reason they knew each other was that Han Yu had once saved Kingpin's son, Richard, from a car accident.

When it was later discovered that the accident had been orchestrated by Kingpin's rivals, he swiftly wiped them out, and from that moment, he regarded Han Yu as a friend. The debt of saving his son was something Kingpin would never forget.

Originally, Han Yu hadn't planned on asking Kingpin for anything in return, but Kingpin insisted on repaying the favor. Left with no choice, Han Yu asked him to locate someone he needed to find.

Kingpin waved a manila envelope in his hand and said, "The person you were looking for has been found. Are you free now?"

Han Yu's eyes gleamed slightly. That was fast!

He replied, "I was just about to grab some food, but since this is important, let's discuss it first."

After getting into Kingpin's car, the mob boss handed Han Yu the manila envelope, which contained a dossier and a smartphone.

The dossier bore two unfamiliar names: Wanda Maximoff and Pietro Maximoff. However, any Marvel fan would instantly recognize their aliases: Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver!

Han Yu was searching for Scarlet Witch.

She was a superpowered individual wielding chaos magic capable of reshaping reality itself. If she reached her full potential, she could even overturn the universe. A woman like that was exactly the kind of ally Han Yu wanted.

"Take a look at the video on the phone," Kingpin said. "The person you're looking for is currently in New York. My men are already monitoring them, but it seems they aren't ordinary people. My men have seen the man among them, and his speed is beyond human limits. He has evaded surveillance multiple times."

Listening to Kingpin, Han Yu narrowed his eyes and played the video.

The footage showed a silver blur speeding past a delivery rider on an electric bike. In the blink of an eye, the food on the bike vanished.

It was obvious—among the siblings, the one with such incredible speed could only be Quicksilver. It seemed they were in dire straits, resorting to stealing food to survive.

"In the current timeline, Ultron hasn't been created yet. That means the two of them are still in hiding. I need to find them before Ultron does," Han Yu said decisively.
