Mike flicked Charles on the forehead. "Your ability has just awakened, and you can't control it yet. I'll talk to your teacher and get you excused from school. You should stay home and practice controlling your power. Until you've made some progress, avoid going to crowded places."

No school!

Charles couldn't help but laugh inwardly. He nodded obediently, while Eric's eyes lit up. He held his head and groaned, "Ah, Dad, my head hurts too. It's killing me!"

Smack!

Mike slapped Eric on the head.

"Ouch!"

Eric looked up at Mike with a pitiful expression.

Mike kept a serious face. "Stop pretending. Your ability is completely different from Charles's. You'll go to school as usual. Every evening, you'll practice controlling your power with Charles. Also, tell Charles what you learn each day, and I'll help him practice at home."

"Learn at home?"

Eric shook his head, glancing at Charles with a sad look, before suddenly realizing something. His face brightened. "I have an ability too?"

He had been so focused on teasing Charles about his powers that he hadn't even noticed he had one himself.

Stare!

Eric stared at Clark, trying to see if he could pick up anything, but he didn't dare to try it with Mike.

Smack!

Mike slapped his head again, scolding him playfully, "I told you, your ability isn't the same as his."

"Oh!" Eric rubbed his eyes in disappointment. "Then what is my ability?"

Mike crossed his arms and looked at the three brothers. "Now, tell me what happened earlier."

"I'll tell you," Clark said after a brief pause, organizing his thoughts and recounting the events from start to finish.

"He hit you?" Mike scoffed, his tone cold.

Charles's eyes lit up, and he shouted eagerly, "Dad, I'll find out their names!"

Although many of the kids were unfamiliar to him, he had remembered their faces. With a little inquiry, he could easily find out their names.

"Stay home for now. We'll talk once you're feeling better."

"Okay!"

"And those kids, did they step back? The steel pipe was twisted too?"

Mike pinched his chin, pretending to think deeply, then said confidently, "It's definitely magnetic manipulation!"

Confused x3

The three kids exchanged glances, then nodded.

No wonder he's Dad!

"Alright, Charles, you rest up. Eric and I will test his abilities next."

Charles looked exhausted. Though he wanted to join in, his head still hurt too much, so he nodded obediently.

Mike led Clark and Eric downstairs, and the three of them went outside to begin testing.

Mike opened his palm and placed a spoon on it, turning to Eric. "Try it. Manipulate the spoon."

Stare!

Eric fixed his gaze on the spoon.

Nothing happened.

Rubbing his dry eyes, Eric frowned. "It's not working!"

"You can't give up just because it's small!"

Mike thought for a moment and suggested, "Think back to what happened earlier. Put yourself in that emotional state."

"Oh!"

Eric scratched his head…

Stare!

But it still didn't work. He couldn't feel the right emotion.

Just then, Mike spoke quietly, "Imagine the spoon is Charles. He took your toy."

Crack!

The spoon bent.

Mike's eyes lit up, and he continued, "And he broke your toy, then told me it was you who broke it!"

Crack, crack!

In an instant, the spoon in Mike's hand was crushed into a ball of scrap metal.

"Good job!"

Mike tossed the scrap metal aside and praised Eric. Meanwhile, Clark broke into a cold sweat.

"Remember what it felt like when you used your power. Try to use it calmly next time."

"Oh!"

Eric, thrilled, looked down at the metal ball on the ground, practically spinning in excitement.

"Next, continue practicing."

Mike pointed to the metal ball on the ground. "Try to return it to its original shape."

Eric picked it up, sat down on the ground, and began practicing.

Clark looked at Mike, his expression full of anticipation. "Dad, I need…"

"Move a chair over, take a book outside, and read in the sun. Tomorrow, go to school properly."

"Okay..."

...

That night, after the three kids fell asleep, Mike stayed busy for the rest of the evening.

Although it was very likely that the children who witnessed Eric and Charles' ability awaken didn't fully understand what had happened, Mike still used his Memory Editing skill card to erase their memories of that event.

After reviewing their memories and confirming they hadn't shared the details with anyone else, Mike finally felt at ease.

Training their abilities was monotonous, but fortunately, Eric and Charles were both gifted. They treated the whole thing like a game and were eager to outdo each other, so their progress was rapid.

Finally, after half a month, Charles had gained basic control over his powers and was ready to return to a normal school life. Eric had also made significant progress and could use his powers in a calm state.

Their abilities had only just awakened and were still rapidly developing.

The future was bright.

Mike couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them...

Watching the two of them walk into school, Mike sighed.

As their father, he hoped their future wouldn't be too difficult.

With a quiet murmur, Mike drove off.

As they heard the familiar sound of the engine fading, Clark turned to the others. "Dad's gone."

Eric and Charles exchanged a smile.

"Hehehe!"

Clark's eye twitched. "I told you two not to go overboard."

"We won't!" Charles replied. "I wasn't planning on telling Dad their names anyway."

Clark's eye twitched again. He had already said that half a month ago.

"We'll get our revenge for you!" Eric tiptoed and slapped Clark's shoulder playfully.

Clark took a moment to silently mourn the soon-to-be misfortune of the poor kids, then muttered, "Just don't go too far. Think about what Dad told you."

"Relax!" Charles waved a hand dismissively. "Don't worry, I won't go too far... I mean, I won't go overboard."

With that, Charles dragged Eric away.

Clark, deeply worried, muttered to himself, "With Dad's instructions, they probably won't go too far."

It was, of course, impossible for those two to let go of the kids from before.

As it happened, Clark had guessed correctly.

Over the past half month, Charles and Eric had already devised several methods of revenge.

Being cultured and refined individuals, they wouldn't resort to violence. Instead, they aimed to embarrass their targets.

For example...

While their targets were in the bathroom, Eric would control the metal in their belt buckles, preventing them from unbuttoning their pants, then leaving a map printed on the pants.

Or Charles would control one person and make them insult another, causing them to fight.

Or someone would be tripped by metal that suddenly appeared beneath their feet while walking.

In just one day, they had gotten their revenge.

Luckily, after blowing off some steam, they didn't continue to harass those kids. Otherwise, those children would have been played to the point of no return without even knowing who was behind it.

Mike, of course, was aware of these events. He knew that they hadn't gone too far, and since they didn't use their abilities to bully other classmates, he chose to turn a blind eye.

However, when Mike discovered that Charles had been using his powers to invade others' privacy and even made notes of what he found, he realized it was time to step in and properly discipline his son. Otherwise, who knew what else he might do in the future?
