Maxing out my luck in a cultivation world

Mysterious energy source

Train, Rest, and Travel. This is Byron's daily routine. For some reason there really aren't any large and dangerous creatures prowling for human flesh like she thought there would be. Not like a kind supreme god would drop a random non-combat adjusted individual in the middle of a super dangerous forest.

This field is massive, then again she is slowly jogging/walking to preserve energy. Throughout the whole week, training every night allowed for great levels of improvement. If this Yin Body Cultivation technique is Rare rank, that must mean higher tiers get much more powerful.

2 weeks into the new world, training ever night has gotten Byron to Bone Hardening 10. But the issue is breaking through to Muscle Refinement. All Stat points were put into luck.

Lck (Luck/Fortune) - 4 --> 11 (very fortunate)

It's not as easy as just going "I'll just absorb some more energy!" because it's not enough. She figured out that you need much more control over it to not only spread the energy through the muscles but also to not harm yourself in the process.

Its tricky to get it right, this hurdle can't really be called a "Bottleneck" but it is getting in the way of progress. If someone had to build themselves back up after losing body cultivation or something like that it wouldn't even be a challenge to complete this stage.

To an inexperienced individual this is quite the issue though. According to the technique it isn't far fetched to take months to even get a good enough grasp over the energy to move it on your own.

With valid effort this can be shortened, and the technique itself helps you improve your control over yin energy. Which is very important for reasons already stated.

Throughout the weeks of training Byron has gone through, she slowly but surely increased her control. At her current rate she should break through in about a week, showing considerable body cultivation talent. Nothing too special or heaven defying though.

Talent really is just effort and lots of luck. This is usually the case but not completely. Sometimes there are individuals with impossible talent, those are outliers from normal levels of talent. The truly blessed individuals.

Then there are those who are just rich with many resources to assist them even if they can't cultivate well normally. Overall compared to the prodigies or those with lots of assistance Byron might seem slow, but her cultivation speed is nothing to look down on.

With a proper use of the system she could gradually increase in cultivation speed with materials or possibly even items to increase talent. Everything she has can become a weapon if used correctly.

At this moment Byron is searching the general area in the forest to locate a horned rabbit. Hoping to kill one and earn some achievement points.

She listens closely and hears a bush move, she spotted and tracked a horned rabbit up to this point. Suddenly the horned rabbit jumps right at Byron intending to stab her with it's horn, but she quickly side swipes it with her Bronze gauntlets.

Getting thrown to the side, the horned rabbit nimbly lands and bolts away at high speeds. Byron acts quickly and bolts after it as fast as she can, but after a minute of running the horned rabbit was too far away to catch up to.

While catching her breath and looking around, she notices a faint trace of Yin energy in the air, at daytime. This is peculiar because yin energy comes from the moon and gets expelled by sunlight.

Something valuable has to be in the vicinity. This is pretty lucky, the flow of yin energy came from one direction. This item most likely is at the middle of the energy, and it feels kind of ominous.

Going to where the energy is radiating from, She finds 2 patches of dark blue flowers. These flowers seem to be radiating Yin energy, she could use this to her advantage.

Noticing how loose the ground around the flowers it intrigued her, along with this the dirt it was in seemed cold and frozen. The flowers gave off a pleasant smell, almost like its drawing her in.

'I could remove a few from the ground and use it like a cultivation pill, or I can stay by this flower and use the energy it radiates. Options....' Considering what she should do with these flowers she looks at the other patch of these flowers.

Noticing some movement, she witnesses a small rodent creature wandering into the patch of flowers. Brushing into one of the flowers, it lets out a yelp and freezes on the spot. With a surprised look, Byron backs away from the dangerous plants.

About 30 seconds after the rodent was frozen roots started to constrict around the little animal's corpse and stab into it. Then the rodent was dragged into the ground and the plants looked completely normal afterwards.

'Carnivorous plants... I can't remember the name of it but there's one back on earth which is carnivorous' knowing that she can't come in contact with these plants now, Byron makes sure to keep her distance.

Possibly in the future she could touch it without getting affected, but for now its best to use them for training. Might as well make the most of this situation, sitting down on the few feet of ground between the two patches of flowers.

Moving to a position where both yin flow through her in opposite directions, creating a swirl of the energy within her body. She focuses on trying to control this flow and guide it herself.

'I'm gonna stay here a while to improve my control over yin energy. Training during the day will be a better use of my time then just walking along the edge of the forest. I'm sure this spot will be great for training at night too'

While imagining every way she can use these flowers to her advantage, she adjusts her positioning to be more of the "cultivator style" lotus position. Hoping this position is more beneficial.

Training shall commence.
