My Enigmatic Life

The Halted Hunt

Sat all by his lonesome in a dimly lit room, is a young man adorned in various pieces of jewelry, clearly agitated beyond reproach. His solitude is interrupted by another young man's arrival.

"You still sulking, Hattori?"

The one called Hattori does not even bother to turn to face him.

"What do you want, Hanayama? I'm in no mood for your frivolous games."

Hanayama laughs at his cohort's dismissive reply.

"Yep, still sulking. I know that you want that nobody dead, but maybe him beating Sanemi shows that he's not completely hopeless, y'know?"

At this, Hattori turns to face his ally, if only to reveal his disdain.

"Stop speaking nonsense.", He spits, "All that proved is that Ariyama is even more of a weakling than he is. Patheic."

Once again, Hanayama laughs at Hattori reply. This is usually how their dynamic goes.

"Let's forget about that for now. After all we have a job to do. It'll be our first in a while, wouldn't it?"

Hanayama grins broadly as Hattori gets to his feet.

"Yes, that's correct. We have no time to care about the nobody. For there are far more important matters to settle."
