Chapter 100: Reibi
"Open the door."
Samui entered a series of codes on a panel, and the door opened with a metallic hiss. The atmosphere in the glass chamber was heavy, almost oppressive.
Amaru struggled weakly against her chains, but she was too weak to offer any real resistance.
As Shikai entered the chamber, Samui remained outside, silent. She still remembered the day she had been abducted by this man. She had resisted at first, screamed, and fought to regain her freedom. But soon, she realized it was futile. Shikai was far beyond anything she could combat or comprehend.
When she had begged for her brother to be spared, Shikai, to her great surprise, had agreed. The reason he had given her: "You are useful."
"You will be more useful here," he had said. "Manage this place in my absence. If you do your job well, your brother will live."
From that day on, she had set aside her personal feelings and served Shikai loyally, bearing the weight of the choices she had made. And in the end, she was right; it was the best decision she could have made, as Shikai was an existence impossible to confront.
In the chamber, Shikai fixed Amaru with an icy intensity.
"You should have died a long time ago," he said in a low but cutting voice. "But today, you will serve a greater purpose."
Before Amaru could respond, golden and dark chains, imbued with seals, emerged from Shikai's chest. These chains, *the Adamantine Chains*, wrapped around Amaru, completely immobilizing her body.
Shikai executed a series of rapid mudras, his movements precise and calculated. He drew a scroll marked with complex symbols from his pocket and pressed it against Amaru's forehead.
"No... no... what are you doing?! Please! I beg you!" Amaru cried, her voice breaking in a mix of terror and pain.
Shikai did not respond. The extraction began, and a piercing scream filled the room as Reibi, the Zero-Tailed Beast, was torn from Amaru's body.
Reibi, a dark and sinister creature, took form at the center of the room. Its appearance was that of a gigantic serpent or leech made of pure black chakra, with a body undulating with a mask on its face.
As soon as it appeared, Reibi turned its attention towards Shikai.
"You are... perfect," the creature hissed in a deep, vibrating voice, resonating in the room like an infinite echo. "Thousands of years of negative emotions... anger, hatred, despair. You were born to be my host!"
The black chakra of Reibi surged, flooding over Shikai's body like a crushing wave.
"Fuck!"
Shikai felt the dark energy trying to penetrate his mind and body. He closed his eyes, a cold smile forming on his lips.
"You think you can possess me, Reibi?" he murmured as he concentrated his own chakra.
The Zero-Tailed Beast fed on negative emotions to create the black chakra necessary for its Meiton. But in return, it needed a host with a strong will to control its power.
"You are nothing more than a tool," Shikai declared, his voice calm.
Reibi tried to resist, but Shikai, with centuries of negative emotions and absolute mastery over himself, turned the situation to his advantage. By channeling his own hatred and anger, he managed to reverse the flow of chakra, binding Reibi to his will. He was not someone who would let his emotions consume him; instead, his emotions were a boost to achieve his goals.
Shikai's body was enveloped in a dark chakra, but he remained standing, impassive. Reibi, now sealed within him, could only submit. But Shikai knew that it was biding its time and waiting for an opportunity to strike. That was why he had no desire to become its host.
Samui, who had observed everything from outside for hours, opened the door and approached cautiously.
"Is it done, master?" she asked.
[Shikai Nara-Senju: Level: 70 / Meiton: Partially Activated]
Shikai opened his eyes, his gaze shining with an intensity even greater than before.
"Yes," he replied simply.
In a final cry, Amaru, her body drained of all life, collapsed to the ground.
"Prepare a room in the castle, I will come with someone soon," Shikai ordered, turning towards Samui.
Samui bowed respectfully and left the room, leaving Shikai alone.
"Where are you, Orochimaru? Do I have to join the Akatsuki to finally find you?"
