Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 88 – The Hidden Power Within

Floyd didn't beat around the bush. He took the Pokéblocks one by one and threw them to each Pokémon.

"Taste it," Floyd commanded.

Everyone hesitated, but Ursaring and Arbok were familiar with this smell. Wasn't this the delicious treat they had tasted yesterday? When Teddiursa, curious, was about to take one, Ursaring blocked him.

"Taste it, or I will kill you. Pick one," Floyd didn't waste any time on them, immediately using his food to bait them. He only needed one week to tame them; otherwise, they would have to return to the forest. This was his cash cow; how could he let them go?

Hearing his warning, everyone felt pressured.

"I will count to 10 seconds. If you haven't made a decision by then, forgive me, but I will have no choice but to kill you here," Floyd stated coldly.

"1, 2, 3, 4," he began counting.

Seeing him counting, Ursaring took the initiative to eat, finding it as delicious as before. No matter how many times he ate this, he would never tire of it. Everyone soon followed, and they all shared the same sentiment as Ursaring: the food was delicious. They couldn't help but wonder if there was poison in it, but after a few minutes had passed and they felt nothing wrong with their bodies, they knew it was safe.

"How is it? Is it good?" Floyd asked.

Everyone hesitated but nodded. Although the man and his Pokémon in front of them were intimidating, they couldn't deny that the food was really good.

"I'll give you a choice. As long as you follow my instructions within a week, I will give you this food and will let you go back into the wild. How is it?" Floyd proposed.

Hearing what he said, most of the Pokémon reacted angrily. They were in the wild in the first place; it was these humans who had captured them. Why should they follow a human?

"It seems you don't understand your current situation. Right now... Fraxure, come out," Floyd said calmly.

"Fra-xure!" Fraxure's appearance oppressed them.

Although Fraxure didn't look scary, every time they remembered how this Fraxure had defeated Ursaring and Arbok yesterday, they realized its strength.

"Who's rejecting? Just a reminder: I don't care about any of your opinions. As long as you defy me within this week, you will face your own consequences," Floyd stated firmly.

"Here, listen to my instructions: within this week, you must follow what I say. As long as you follow me, I will let you eat this food three times a day. You must not hurt any human here. If I hear of any incident where any of you cause trouble, I will kill you. Lastly, as long as you fight my beasts here and win, I will give you a high reward of food. If you lose, I will also give you a few rewards. And if you get injured, I will heal you. Do you understand?" Floyd explained, showing them the Figy Berry and Oran Berry.

Every wild Pokémon thought this man was an idiot because this was obviously a win-win situation for them. They saw no harm in it, except for the fighting. They still had a few worries, but once they complained, the Fraxure in front of them would certainly kill them.

Seeing there was no problem, Floyd sighed in relief deep inside. Then, he started his arrangement.

Each Pokémon actually had a use: Cherrim and Shiftry could use Sunny Day, Rhydon and Onix could plow the land, Gloom provided saliva, Beedrill produced honey, Arbok supplied poison, Ursaring and Pidgeotto offered manpower for carrying heavy things or for delivering and spying, and the rest also made minor contributions to each other.

Lastly, Floyd had a selfish intention: gaining points. But for now, on the first day, he didn't plan to fight them, afraid they would revolt. He started his training plan with his Pokémon.

After that, he checked out his Dragon Power, called out Fraxure, and went to a secluded area in the Safe Zone where no one could see them.

"Let's fight!" Floyd suggested.

"Fraxure?" Fraxure was confused, so he asked. He knew that Floyd was no match for him, even when he was still an Axew.

"I just wanted to test something, don't worry about it," Floyd reassured him. "Use your Dragon Claw."

Floyd also activated his Dragon Power and then performed "Dragon Claw" himself. Fraxure was a bit hesitant, but he still complied and used Dragon Claw.

Bang!

Their attacks collided, and Floyd was defeated.

"This… how is it possible?" Floyd felt no difference from before.

"Fraxure," Fraxure rushed toward him, concerned.

"Fraxure, did you feel something different when we collided?" Floyd asked him.

Fraxure was confused by the question and shook his head. He explained that there was only a bit of violent energy, which was Floyd's Dragon Power, but besides that, there was nothing.

"I don't believe it. I'm sure I really felt something different at that time," Floyd still remembered when he fought Le Mai Linh, and it seemed like a power had awakened from his body.

"Let's do it once again. This time, don't use your Dragon Move; we'll just fight normally," Floyd instructed him.

"Fraxure," Fraxure nodded.

"Let's go," Floyd rushed towards him.

Bang! Bang!

A few moments ago, Floyd's hand had been bruised by the clashes, yet he still felt nothing. Fraxure suggested stopping, but Floyd was really unwilling to give up, so he poured some healing powder on his hand.

"Let's do it once again. This time, you just defend, and I will initiate the attack," Floyd instructed.

Then he activated his Dragon Power and used his moves one after the other on Fraxure: Dragon Claw, Breaking Swipe, First Impression, Tackle, etc.

And as the moments passed by, Fraxure suddenly felt something and screamed a bit.

"What is it? Did you feel something?" Floyd looked at him expectantly.

"Fraxure," Fraxure nodded and explained what he thought. It seemed like a violent energy was conflicting with him.

"This must be it! Dragons also suppress Dragon Types," Floyd exclaimed excitedly.

He had already tried this method before, but just like what happened earlier, there were no other effects besides it being violent.

"So, to unlock this energy, I need to fight more. This must be the requirement. But it takes too long before it's activated," Floyd shook his head, but he was still quite happy that he discovered something new about his power.

He had thought before that his body was already at its peak, and he didn't expect that it could still be improved, which was surprising to him.

"Let's go back," Floyd said, then he returned.

"Fraxure," Fraxure nodded and followed him.

Then he returned to the Safe Zone where the wild beasts were. He started to make Pokéblocks.

He had discovered another way to earn points, which was by making Pokéblocks. Every time he made his own intermediate-grade Pokéblocks, a prompt for 40 points would appear. Previously, he didn't care about this because making a novice-grade Pokéblock only gave him 10 points every time, and it took 7 minutes to make one.

But this time, he could already make an intermediate-grade Pokéblock within 10 minutes. So, every hour he could earn 240 points. Multiplying that by 10 to 12 hours, which was his free time, he could earn 2,400 to 2,880 points.

To be honest, he hadn't noticed it, or he hadn't even looked at the Game Panel Prompt. He had always ignored it, but now, when making Pokéblocks for these Wild Beasts, he noticed the huge increase in points.

This might be his other cash cow. If he kept doing it, spending points to find Pokémon in 'Dragon Clues' would be no problem for him.
