RE – Naruto Universe

Sasuke had been chasing Azuma since his lost against him during the Taijutsu sparing rankings in class. Ever since he lost he had never won against him. Although every spar he had against him during the ranking test were extremely close he knew in his heart that the match was not close at all.

 

He had always felt that Azuma had created the situation to make it seem so. Even when he was training with his brother and Shisui, he had never had that feeling. His brother and Shisui is strong, he also knows that they are one of the best in taijutsu beside a few within Konoha ranks.

 

However, every time he spared against Azuma he felt that he is leagues ahead even when he compare him against his brother and Shisui. He had kept that feeling to himself. Although from what he see, he believe that his brothers and Shisui also know something about Azuma as well.

 

To surpass Azuma he had been training rigorously with his brother and Shisui.

 

He had always felt that Azuma had been hiding his true capability, so he trained not only in taijutsu but in ninjutsu as well.

 

After almost five years of training, he was confident about his capability against others. Although he know it is not enough to win against Azuma, however against others, he was confident he could show results.

 

The results were there for him and everyone to see during the yearly performance examination test. Even during his open sparing with his peers he knew that his strength had grown. However because he had spared with his peers he also know that Naruto had also grown stronger. Thus looking at Naruto now made him realize that Kakashi is not someone that he can go against one on one. Therefore, he decided…

 

“Ooi, Naruto. Are you all right?”

 

“Urgh… Yea…”

 

“So… wanna work together?”

 

Hearing that Naruto looked towards Sasuke, and there he was standing along Sakura looking at him.

 

“… Ok…”

 

He had lost, he was beaten, Kakashi was much stronger than he anticipated. Realizing that he agreed to work with Sasuke and Sakura together.

 

“… the bells?”

 

“The one that dealt the most damage to Kakashi-sensei gets it!”

 

“… agreed!”

 

“Sigh…boys…”

 

With the agreement set, the first team 7 teamwork action was set.

 

‘… oh that was fast…’ Kakashi was observing them from his hiding spot and was amazed by their actions. They had acknowledge that Kakashi was not someone that they could go against. Acknowledging that, they reformed and agreed to work together for a common purpose.

 

From that action itself Kakashi would passed them, however he wanted to know if what Azuma described about them were true. Furthermore, he only manage to accomplish not even half of what Azuma wanted them to learn.

 

‘It’s time to get serious then… sigh… I was hoping for a simple ninja battle demonstration… that Taijutsu demonstration itself is already beyond a normal chunin level… sigh… I have been sighing more often today…’

 

“So what do we do now? Kakashi-niisan is strong, I just found out that he actually able to do what Azuma does. Even Lee was somewhat capable of it as well. I have asked Azuma to teach that move to me but he always rejected, arrgh… if I had learnt that technique I would have not been beaten this badly…”

 

“Stop your grumbling Naruto! Azuma had his reasons and I realize that now. After observing that previous battle, Azuma was right. You are not suited for that technique. Remember what Azuma told you, I remember that he had advice on what you should actually do.”

 

“…” Sasuke was out of loop, he did not know anything about what Naruto and Sakura were talking about. He from his class he knows that Naruto, Sakura, Ino and Hinata had been training with Azuma but he was reluctant to join them.

 

It was especially true when both his rivals is there. One that he want to surpass, Azuma and another that he want to make sure not to surpass him, Naruto.

 

To make sure he was not left behind he had been training with his brother and Shisui. He only joined them for their monthly free sparing where everyone including Shikamaru, Choji, Shino, and Kiba will be there as well.

 

 

“What technique are you talking about? I only know that what Kakashi-sensei did was similar to what Azuma did when I spar with him.”

 

“Ah! Sasuke-kun, let me explain it to you. That technique that we were talking about is a high-level taijutsu technique, Azuma call it Seikuken. Apparently, it emphasizes on the individual martial experiences as well on their calm and analyzing mind to perform. What we saw was Kakashi-sensei demonstrating was the first two levels. The first level was during Naruto attempt to test the waters, that technique is called Seikuken. The second level was what we saw just now, is called Ryusui Seikuken. Azuma said that this two are the basis of the defensive offensive taijutsu technique. He did mention that he is also developing it further and half a year ago he told me that currently there is four levels of this technique. When I asked about the other levels he kept quite about it. It frustrate me that sometimes he is just cryptic about stuff, cha~”  

 

 

“… Ah! I remember now! Yes! That’s it!” Right in the middle of Sakura explanation, Naruto remembered back what Azuma told him when he was pestering Azuma about wanting to learn Seikuken.  

 

“Naruto, at your current level you should not bite more than you can chew. With your personality it will be very difficult for you to learn it now. The best for you right now is use your strength to your advantage and not trying to fix your weakness.

Anyone can learn this technique but the path of learning will be different for each individual. Seikuken technique is mainly the understanding of the concept of how it works and practice it. In time when you mature, you will understand it easier.

For now, you fare better when you act with your emotions. Use your strength to your advantage, your wild and unpredictable tactics is the way to go. You do not need to keep in rhythm; in the first place that’s not your style.”

 

‘(╬≖_≖)’ “Naruto Shannaro!”

 

“Ouch! Sakura-chan why out of the sudden…”

 

Naruto abrupt shouting when he remembered what Azuma said during the time Sakura was explaining to Sasuke about the technique ticked her off. Out of sheer annoyance, she punched Naruto right at his head for interrupting her and Sasuke time.

 

“Humph!”

 

Kakashi looking at that commotion was having a cold sweat. ‘Based on Azuma description I thought that she will be someone that will also be able to learn the basics of Seikuken… is she really capable?...’ 

 

…

 

After their group meeting they had decided their plan of action. Naruto will be the vanguard and Sasuke and Sakura will act as support. Since they decided on their course of action Naruto again used his mass shadow clone in hope to find Kakashi.

 

Kakashi watching from a distance decided to take the initiative. Their decision to from a team to go against him already passed them. However, for Kakashi now he just wanted to test their true capabilities as well as accomplishing what Azuma asked him to do.

 

With his decision made Kakashi went forward and faced Naruto shadow clones head on.

 

It was a repeat of what was happening before. However, when Kakashi was busy dealing with the shadow clones, Naruto took that advantage to execute his following attack. Naruto and two of his clones made their move and went in range to execute his personal ninjutsu combo move.

 

‘Snake → Ram → Boar → Horse → Bird… clap!’ “Futon: Reppusho… ”

While Naruto was busy molding his wind technique gale palm, both of his clones took out several kunais and got ready.

When Naruto successfully molded the wind ninjutsu the clones that was ready also made their move. “Combo attack: Wind piercer” The clones threw their kunais just when Naruto successfully molded his wind gale technique.

 

With the shadow clones tying Kakashi down the combo technique caught Kakashi by surprise and the kunai imbued with the wind ninjutsu accelerated its speed greatly. Its speed was so fast that Naruto clones that were in its way was pierced through without time to react, although the kunai pierced several clones it speed did not slowdown at all.

 

“Doton: Doryuheki” Kakashi reacted immediately right after Naruto move. A earth-style wall was erected blocking the combo attack.  

 

‘Hehe as expected… Sasuke it’s your turn now!’

 

Right when Kakashi used his earth style ninjutsu to shield himself, Sasuke took the chance to act. He threw several shruikein towards the location where Kakashi was erecting the wall.

 

Kakashi who was now safe from Naruto’s wind piercer attack was now shocked by Sasuke actions.

 

“Soshuriken no Jutsu” (Manipulated Shuriken Technique)

 

The Shuriken thrown by Sasuke were easily manipulated to reach Kakashi. Noticing the shuriken reaching him Kakashi acted, trying to evade the shuriken when Sasuke smirked.

 

Sasuke eyes changed and Kakashi noticed it.

 

“What? Sharingan!”

 

“Sofushasan no Tachi” (Manipulating Windmill Triple blade)

 

The simple manipulated shuriken technique suddenly became more dangerous as the wire strings attached on the shuriken started to bind Kakashi.

 

‘Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger’ “Katon Ryuka no Jutsu” (Fire Release Dragon Fire technique)

 

Right when Kakashi was completely in bind Sasuke blasted Kakashi with his fire technique.

 

“Boom!”

 

All of this actions and reactions among Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke was all within a few seconds of each other. The teamwork by Naruto and Sasuke was well planned and from the Fire technique Sasuke did Naruto thought the fight was over. It was a direct hit after all, unfortunately for Naruto that was his mistake as he let his guard down. Sasuke with his Sharingan eyes still active noticed a chakra fluctuation at the place his Dragon Fire technique hit, from it he knew that Kakashi got away.

 

“Naruto! Keep your eyes open Kakashi-sensei escaped!”

 

“Huh? What! … [A crack appeared from the ground Naruto was standing, grab] Ahhh Kakashi-niisan hand!!” Naruto was shocked towards what had transpired, it was like a zombie hand that came out from the ground grabbing his leg. Naruto had assumed Kakashi was still at the blast site but now a similar hand suddenly appeared and grabbed his leg.

 

“You let your guard down Naruto~ Doton Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu” (Earth Release Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

 

“Shannaro!” (Blossom Impact) Right before Naruto was completly dragged down to earth, Sakura acted. With her chakra reinforcement technique activated, she quickly reacted when Sasuke notified that Kakashi evaded his attack.

 

“Boom!” “Ahh~” (Naruto got hit by the shockwave was pushed back rolling)

 

“What the hell is this crazy power” (Kakashi on the other hand noticed Sakura quick action and evaded. However he was still shocked at the level of damage she manage to dish out at that short moment)

 

Sakura noticing Kakashi evaded her blossom impact technique quickly moved towards him. She rechanneled her chakra reinforcing technique with yin chakra this time.

 

“Uchi naru Sakura” (Inner Sakura mode)

 

The Inner Sakura mode was the second step that she developed using the chakra reinforcement technique. From Azuma hints about cladding other chakra nature instead of standard chakra, Sakura cladded herself with Yin chakra.

It was after Azuma introduced her the chakra meditation technique that she truly notice her inner self. Taking advantage of her prominent inner self, she started to get insights towards yin chakra. After several months of meditation, she manage to manifest her inner self through the chakra reinforcement technique. 

 

“Bunshin no Justu kai” (Renewed Clone technique)

 

While Sakura was still moving towards Kakashi she molded four clones. The clones are different compared to the normal clones as it was enveloped with the chakra reinforcing technique as well. It was also something that she learnt from listening to Azuma explanation on genjutsu and yin chakra.

 

Based on Azuma explanation most of the used genjutsu technique known is directed to an individual. It is true that the method is correct but it actually limit the scope of usage. To make sure that Sakura do not reach the same common conclusion by the general masses Azuma decided to influence her thinking. Thus, Azuma held theory on genjutsu and illusion technique was imparted to her.

 

“It (illusion) is not real but it (illusion) had to be real. Make it real.” This was Azuma basic theory of genjutsu, it was based on the holographic and virtual reality thoughts from his time in the Union world and it is also actually the first step for the creation of all things technique created by Otsutsuki Harogomo.

 

Sakura took Azuma guidance in mind and started to dabble in genjutsu techniques. When she was trying to get insights about it, she saw Azuma imparting the shadow clone technique to Naruto. Just from looking at the shadow clone it came to her. She got an idea, her first step towards following Azuma genjutsu theory.

 

The Bunshin no Jutsu kai, as long she had her chakra reinforcing technique cladded with Yin chakra activated, she could insert her inner Sakura yinself within the clones. It will be extremely similar to the shadow clone technique but it is different. It takes no damage nor it do any physical damage, it is purely an illusion as it should be.

 

However, the technique is as real as it could be. Even people with specialize eyes like the Sharingan or Byakugan will not be able to differentiate the differences between the clones and the original person. It is similar to the shadow clone technique on this part. That was the beauty of Sakura Bunshin no Jutsu kai.

 

Furthermore, the technique also had the ability to bring the opponent to her inner self genjutsu realm if she or one of her evolved clones touch the opponent.

 

‘Bunshin no jutsu kai, is this the technique that Azuma told me to be cautious about? From Azuma explanation it is a Yin spiritual base ninjutsu, it is not a common yin ninjutsu but an improved version of it… but he did mention if possible I had to avoid her and her clones unless I reached the third level of Seikuken… Spiritual Yin? … I still cannot get his technical jargon’

 

‘Anyway they had completely passed the other shinobi battle skills; genjutsu and ninjutsu. Now is for them to learn what Azuma wanted them to learn…

Sigh… I still cannot use the third level of Seikuken properly… Spiritual Yin…’

 

Kakashi got ready as he took a scroll out of his pouch.

 

“Release”

 

A Sakabato (reverse katana) was revealed as Kakashi released the scroll seal.

 

While Naruto was still trying to get himself back into the battle, Sasuke and Sakura notice that Kakashi made his move. When he revealed that he held a weapon, both of their faces turn grim.

 

It was a Sakabato, however it’s also an inscribed Sakabato. For Sakura she knows all too well what it meant, a weapon probably designed by Azuma. She assumed it because when she opened the toolbox that Azuma gave her there were tools with inscriptions engraved with it.

 

As for Sasuke his Sharingan eyes were showing him that the weapon is a chakra based weapon.

 

The real fight starts now!

 

Sasuke immediately sprung to action.

 

“Sakura!”
‘Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger’ “Katon Gokakyu no Jutsu” (Fire release Great fireball technique).

 

Sakura noticing what Sasuke wanted to do acted when he called her. Immediately Sakura and her clones acted right after Sasuke completed his hand seals. “Combination technique Blazing Yin Shuriken Dance”

 

Sakura and Sasuke combination attack, Sakura and her yin clones threw yin chakra cladded shruikein when Sasuke uses his great fireball technique. With this combination, Sakura’s yin shuriken was also inflamed with fire and all of them flew directly to Kakashi.

 

When Kakashi saw it, his eyes grew wide. It was another combination technique and this time is a teamwork by Sasuke and Sakura.

Looking at the technique Kakashi knew he had to truly act, this time he had to be serious. He drew back and held in ‘Iai’ form, he was going for a sword draw technique. Kakashi had heighten his cognitive and mental capability looking at the inflamed shruikein.

 

He knew that only one fifth of the inflamed shruikein is real while the others are not, however the problem was he could not identify the true ones. Furthermore, with Azuma insistence for him to avoid any spiritual yin techniques he had to act.

 

It was this fact that lead him to heighten his cognitive and mental capability and got ready in his sword draw form. As the inflame shuriken reached five meters in range, Kakashi acted. He imbued his reverse blade katana with wind chakra as he drawed his katana. With the wind chakra activating the inscriptions on his katana when he drawed, it brought a strong gust of wind blowing all the shuriken away.

 

The gust was like a tempest, it was so strong that Sakura and Sasuke was caught in it as they was also pushed back rolling. While Naruto that just got up got caught in it as well fell and rolled again.

 

“Phew… for me to do this…”

 

“““Urgh…””” 

 

When the gust ended, the three of them got up and looked at Kakashi as he walked towards them. Noticing it they got ready for combat.

 

“You all passed!”

 

“““Huh?”””

 

When Kakashi reached to their location and announced they passed they were flabbergasted.

 

“I never expected you all to this good, your teamwork is also really good. It was something I did not really expect. Looking at your performance indeed you all passed…”

 

Hearing what Kakashi said Naruto was the first to do his hurrah, before Kakashi shut him off again.

 

“… then again there is still something you need to face before I report on you passing this test.”

“What! You said we passed but now you say we had to face something else?... !!!”

 

Right after Naruto ended his discontentment he felt scared, his body was in cold sweat, he was shivering, he wanted to move but he felt that if he did, something horrible would happen to him.

 

As he was forcing himself he notice Sasuke and Sakura was facing a similar situation. It was like he was facing his mother when she was extremely angry at him but it still felt different, this time he really know that he will die if he moved.

 

For Sasuke when he felt it he realize what it was. It was bloodlust. It was killing intent. He had heard about it from his brother but he never experience it until now. It was his first time and it freaked him out.

Sakura was really scared, she wanted to vomit puking out what she had for breakfast. It was really her first time experiencing this.

 

After a minute right before all three of them collapse from mental pressure from his bloodlust and killing intent, Kakashi withdrew them.

 

“Huff…huff…huff…” Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura lost their footing and they all fell. They were sweating while catching their breath.

 

“So how was it? If you become a ninja, you may encounter this situation. What would you do then? You could not react for a full minute this time. What would you think will happen to you during that time when you are on mission. The bloodlust and killing intent of wild animals will not match a seasoned ninja version of it.”

 

When they heard what Kakashi said it woke them up. They were confident about themselves, their abilities were good, they could even make Kakashi a Jonin turn serious. However it was also their undoing. After facing Kakashi bloodlust and killing intent they realize that he had gone easy on them. If they were on mission now and if they faced an enemy Jonin now, they will be dead. Kakashi showed them just that. It is not only skills and abilities that make a Jonin, it was also their experience and wisdom.

 

They can learn skills and abilities but they had to accumulate experience and wisdom from themselves going forward. No one can help them on that. This was the thing that Azuma wanted Kakashi to teach them. He had gave them the foundation, the skills and abilities and it is up to them to grow up with it. They had to experience a ninja life and learn from it only then they can call themselves a ninja.
