Refusing My God’s Advances

Chapter 163: IHSR Shopping Trip Pt 3

"There is a wall between you and that fabled peace that you seek to obtain. To reach it, you must climb over the wall, meeting each challenge head-on along the way. You and I both know it won't be easy, but He also knows that you are stubborn. Let your distaste for the wall be your fuel as you scale it," Hades advised, his tone suggesting a mix of encouragement and solemn understanding of the hardships I would face.

I took a moment to absorb his words, finding a strange comfort in the acknowledgment of the difficult path ahead. It was a reminder that while the journey would be fraught with challenges, it was also mine to navigate, with allies and resources at my disposal.

"Thank you, Hades. I'll keep that in mind," I responded, feeling a renewed sense of determination. The metaphor of the wall wasn't just about overcoming obstacles; it was about the journey and growth that comes with facing them head-on.

Changing the subject, I moved on to the reason for our visit. "About the outfits for the royal meeting, I trust your judgment. Let's see what you have in mind."

Hades grinned, pleased with the shift in conversation. "Excellent choice. Follow me; I have just the thing in mind for someone of your... unique standing."

As we walked through the aisles filled with exquisite clothing, Hades shared insights into the fashion preferences of the higher echelons of society in my reality. He selected several outfits, each more elaborate than the last, ensuring I would stand out in the best possible way.

I was taken to another fitting room that was separated from the women's, and Hades got me to try each of the outfits on. The first was a sleek, midnight blue suit that seemed to absorb the light around it, giving it an almost mesmerizing depth. The fabric was a blend of something that felt like silk but had the strength and durability of the finest armor. The suit jacket was tailored to perfection, accentuating my physique without restricting movement, while the trousers were equally form-fitting yet comfortable. Hades watched with a critical eye, nodding in approval as I examined myself in the mirror.

"This," he declared, "is woven from the threads of night itself, harvested from the darkest depths of the universe. It's not just a statement of style; it's a declaration of power. It will serve you well in the presence of royalty and gods alike."

The next outfit was a stark contrast, a suit of a lighter, ethereal silver that shimmered with a light of its own. It seemed to change hues slightly with movement, reflecting the ambient light in a dazzling display. This suit felt lighter than air, and wearing it, I felt an uplifting sensation, as if buoyed by unseen forces.

"This one," Hades explained, "is crafted from the essence of dawn's first light. It's designed to inspire awe and convey a sense of new beginnings and endless possibilities. It's perfect for making a memorable entrance or for occasions where you wish to be seen as a harbinger of change."

After trying on a few more suits, each with its own unique story and qualities, Hades and I settled on the midnight blue suit for the official meeting and the silver suit for a public appearance where I would need to stand out. He also suggested a few accessories that would complement each look, including a pair of shoes that felt as comfortable as walking on clouds and a tie that subtly glowed with an inner light.

As the fitting session concluded, Hades gave me a knowing look. "Remember, Leon, these clothes are not just about making an impression. They're a reflection of your journey, your challenges, and the power you wield. Wear them with the confidence of one who has faced the abyss and emerged stronger."

I thanked Hades for his guidance and craftsmanship, but then summoned my new printer to my wrist. "Now, since you have been so kind to help me get some new clothing, I think it is time that I held up my end of the bargain!" I laughed, and Hades lifted an eyebrow.

"Are you trying to tell me that, not only are you going to give me something you made, but also craft it right before my eyes?!" Hades exclaimed and I nodded as I summoned a holographic display showing small images of each file.

"Just take a look and tell me if any catch your eye. You can even click on it, and we should be able to see a preview for it with the holographic imaging," I explained, mentally moving the screen over to Hades. I had downloaded all the files for Steam, and Cyberpunk, along with the entire Gothic set, but they were mostly for women.

Hades took his time looking at almost all of the male items, and a few of the female ones. After a moment he turned to me, pointing to a gothic suit that was displayed as a projection. "I think I like the look of this one."

"Ah, good choice, and since I like you, I will make it with some epic materials I got from a Crimson Vampire Rat. Is that okay with you?" I asked, and Hades nodded with an excited smile.

"Whatever you choose will be amazing, I am sure," Hades replied, and I nodded.

I pulled the window back over to me and picked out (Epic) Crimson Rat Hide, (Epic) Sanguine Silk Thread, and the (Epic) Crimson Exquisite Blood Crystal. They were all drops from the Crimson Progenitor Vampire Rat I had faced, and the best items I could think of for this suit. Hades was giving myself and all my girls new clothing so I felt like I should do something nice for them.

I confirmed the choice, but then I got a few messages before it would start.
