Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Next Quest

This was the first quest he had gotten from an NPC; there were two rewards: one was from the NPC, which was the potion she was going to make, and the other was from the system.

Raze had no reason to reject it, 200 Exp was all he needed to see since it would take him to level 4, plus he would also kill some slimes, giving him more Exp and edging him closer to level 5.

"Alright, I'll take the quest; when I'm done, I should return here, right?"

"Yes, thank you. I can't thank you enough," the NPC said as she held Raze's hands.

"I'm going to get something, then I'll leave," Raze spoke as he began walking away.

He needed to collect his coins for the completed quests and then purchase a spell book.

"You're back?" The girl spoke as she saw Raze and he brought out both of the plants from his inventory.

"Oh, you found two, and they're in good shape; give me a minute," she said as she took both of the plants and placed them somewhere.

Then she returned and handed Raze four silver coins, which he took and placed in his pocket since he was going to use them soon.

"I've been playing for some time now and I haven't found any flaw yet, I haven't even gone past the beginner village and I'm already hooked"

Raze arrived at the spell shop and the woman greeted him again.

"Hi there, it's you again?"

"Yes, I'm back with the money" Raze replied.

"Pick the spell book you want to buy," She replied behind the counter, now carrying her baby in her hands.

Raze already had his eyes on a spell, but now that he had more coins, he could buy more than one, so he was going for two, another attack spell and something that could double as an attack and defensive spell.

Raze picked the first spellbook and soon he had the second spellbook in his hands and approached the counter.

"Just now, you said they were too expensive, and now you're buying two?" The woman asked and Raze chuckled as he handed her two silver coins.

"Thank you," she said as Raze picked up both of the spellbooks and exited the shop.

[Do you want to learn the spell: Water Slash]

[Description: Water Slash is a basic water elemental attack spell that conjures a sharp, crescent-shaped blade of water, launching it at enemies in its path]

[Do you want to learn the spell: Stone spike]

[Description: Stone Spike is an earth-element spell that summons sharp, jagged spikes of stone from the ground, piercing enemies in a targeted area]

"Yes, and yes," Raze spoke, and both of the spellbooks slowly vanished from his hands, turning into pixie, and the knowledge of how to cast the spell was somehow in his head.

Raze glanced through his stats; two more spells had been added, and now that he looked at it, the number 1 was in front of all the spells, meaning they were at level 1.

Spells can progress the more you use them, just like mastery; the more you use one particular spell, the more you inch closer to mastery, and so with each level, the damage of the particular spell increases.

For now, all of them were still at level one, and Raze thought since all of them were E-tier spells, their Mana consumption would be the same, but he was wrong.

Stone Spike consumed 10 Mana each time it was cast; unlike the fireball or water slash, it was a spell that could double as a shield against other spells or long-range attacks.

Currently, if Raze were to fight a knight, he would most definitely lose if the knight could close the distance from him, but if the knight was far from him, then he would have the upper hand, but he wasn't fighting any knight, so there was nothing to worry about.

Raze arrived at his location and stepped in, the girl who was at the quest building saw Raze and stood up.

"What can I help you with?" She asked.

"Do you have a map that leads to the slime dungeon?" Raze asked.

"Yes, are you taking the slime quest?" She asked.

"Slime quest?" Raze replied.

"Yes, a new quest is on the board, 10 Slime crystals for 200 bronze coins"

"Then I'll take it; I'm heading there anyway. Might as well make some money," Raze replied.

The girl brought out another drawing of the way; this time, it was much closer to the village than the wolf's dungeon. He took the drawing and exited the building, and then he saw the quest on the board.

"Apart from those four, I haven't seen any other players, after this quest, I'll be on my way to the next village"

Raze stopped in front of the forest and took a deep breath, he brought out all three of the wolf crystal he got and absorbed all of them.

[You've absorbed a crystal core]

[You've gained 10 Mana]

"Alright, now I just have to avoid getting killed"
