"Useless, your movements are too slow!"

Alex easily dodged a soldier's joint lock and was about to strike back when an instinctive sense of danger suddenly flooded his mind, as if a massive threat was rapidly approaching him.

"Get out of the way…"

Without bothering to finish off the soldier, Alex quickly twisted his body, moving with an almost preternatural reflex to evade the incoming danger.

"Perfect opportunity! Die…"

The soldier opposite him, seeing Alex suddenly leave himself open, shouted in joy. However, before he could finish his sentence, something interrupted him.

— His body was pierced through by a high-speed bullet!

"It's a sniper!"

Alex jumped in shock. Thinking back, he realized how he had been watched like prey by a sniper for an extended period. His scalp tingled at the thought. Ignoring the other soldiers on the field, he hurriedly increased his speed to the maximum. His body became a blur as he sprinted in a zigzag pattern, heading toward a cluster of buildings in the distance.

"As long as I find cover, the sniper won't be able to get me!"

Seeing their plan to capture Alex fail and their soldiers continue to be "devoured," General Monson could no longer stand by. He dispatched his ace sniper to eliminate the target!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!...

What happened next stunned the battle-hardened soldiers and their companions.

Alex's movements never faltered as he zigzagged at high speed, while large-caliber sniper rounds struck the ground around him, leaving deep dents. In less than three seconds, Alex had covered over a hundred meters and safely reached the side of a building.

Boom!

Alex kicked the door off its hinges and quickly dashed into the building.

"Damn it, he escaped!"

"We fired three shots and still couldn't hit him, this is terrifying!"

"This mutant's abilities are really strong!"

The three snipers, seeing Alex's figure disappear into the building through their scopes, begrudgingly lowered their rifles. It wasn't that their sniping skills were lacking, but Alex's reactions were so quick and his speed so astounding that they didn't have time to properly aim. They could only shoot based on their intuition as super snipers, and merely following Alex with their shots was the result of their extraordinary skill!

"Let's go. The General ordered us to kill him for sure; our mission isn't over yet!" The lead sniper quickly rose, his eyes fixed on the place where Alex had hidden.

"I really don't want to face the guy from just now. I'm afraid my confidence as a sniper will be shattered!"

"Same here!"

The other two snipers exchanged wry smiles. Despite their reluctance, they picked up their sniper rifles and followed the lead sniper, heading toward a high vantage point.

Following orders was a soldier's duty, and after all, they were soldiers!

"Damn it! I got careless just now, I almost got killed by the sniper!"

After entering the building, Alex wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. In the heat of the battle, he had been so focused on fighting the soldiers that he forgot what he feared most—long-range attacks. If not for his subconscious sense of danger, he would have already been turned into a bloody pulp by the sniper's bullet!

"I wonder when my eyes will evolve to grant me long-range vision techniques?"

With the immediate crisis averted, Alex's thoughts wandered to his eyes. As an avid fan of Japanese anime, his initial excitement upon arriving in this world had quickly turned into dread. Alex had, at first, dreamed of fighting on a grand scale, just like the protagonists in the novels he loved. However, after reading the newspaper one day, he had his entire worldview shattered!

"Damn it, this is a world full of superheroes!"

Although he hadn't cared much for American comics and movies before his transmigration, Alex still knew that the world depicted in them was brutal. A single punch from Superman could destroy countless galaxies, supervillains were constantly plotting to destroy the world and universe, and the heroes, whether male or female, were far from normal—more like walking disasters themselves. In short, the world of American comics was full of chaos and violence, and Alex couldn't help but curse his luck at ending up in such a dangerous reality!

In this alien world, Alex had been reborn as a small, defenseless child. His experience with the darker side of society had come quickly and ruthlessly.

But everything changed when he suddenly gained the mysterious "Annihilation Eyes," a power that allowed him to "devour" everyone who had ever wronged him and eliminate anyone who dared to harm him. After obtaining this power, Alex rapidly evolved, becoming stronger and more dangerous.

While reveling in his new powers, his "Annihilation Eyes" absorbed enough energy to evolve further, giving birth to a new eye technique: the "All-seeing Eye." Alex finally realized that his eyes were not limited to just the Annihilation Eyes. In fact, the Annihilation Eyes served only as an energy collector, gathering power that would evolve his eyes into something greater once it reached the necessary threshold.

In order to become even stronger, Alex set off on a journey across various nations. Along the way, he acquired valuable items, some of which were hidden in his house (as mentioned during his conversation with Hit-Girl). It was during his stay in Canada that he encountered the current mess.

Rustle...

The sound of military boots hitting the ground echoed as the soldiers pursued him. They hadn't wanted to engage Alex, but with the order from General Monson, they knew they had no choice. The reality was simple—if they didn't complete the mission, they would die either way. Whether they followed the general's orders or not, they were already marked for death. So, they steeled themselves and moved forward, embracing their honor as soldiers.

"The general's orders no longer involve capturing him alive. Use lethal force to eliminate the target!" The squad leader barked the command, and his soldiers immediately sprang into action.

"I was hoping for a simpler outcome, but it looks like we're going to have to get serious!"

Switching his eyes to the All-seeing Eye mode, Alex saw through the soldiers' movements and couldn't help but smile bitterly. However, there was no fear on his face—after all, they were simply not good enough to defeat him!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!!

Several rocket-propelled grenades launched from their launchers, their high-explosive warheads detonating on impact with the building, causing violent explosions. The soldiers cheered inwardly as thick smoke filled the area, blocking their vision. They hoped, or perhaps cursed, that Alex would perish in the explosion. But Alex, having already anticipated their movements, was well out of range when the explosion occurred. He leapt effortlessly to a third-floor window and dove into an adjacent room.

It wasn't fear of their weapons that caused him to avoid the attack. Rather, Alex had spotted something peculiar nearby that seemed to be of great interest to him. He had no intention of dealing with the soldiers below for now.

"Quick! He's headed for the lab!"

The squad leader suddenly yelled, and the soldiers who were searching for Alex immediately found their target. They grabbed their guns and began rushing toward him.

The soldiers, now confident Alex wouldn't counterattack, began firing their submachine guns in an attempt to stop his escape.

Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat!!!

The guns roared as bullets ricocheted off the metal, sparking as they failed to find their target. None of the shots came close to hitting Alex!

— With his inhuman reflexes and speed, it was nearly impossible for ordinary soldiers to land a shot!

"Useless efforts. Once I find what I'm looking for, I'll deal with all of you!"

Glancing back at the soldiers chasing him, Alex grinned savagely. With a light push of his feet, he shot forward again, entering yet another room…
